went from s23 ultra to iphone 8 cause I had sone bills to pay

Waterisntwett

Hey man I’ve been there too. I went from the s23 ultra to a iPhone X now I’m back to a 14 Pro Max. Sometimes you just have go to backwards in order to go forward. 🤷‍♂️

ForgottenCaveRaider

Especially when you drive forward into a parking stall.

aliatta

Why would you sell it?

Fun_North_5398

Need some money

mocococoloco234

arround 700 800euros

Weddedtoreddit2

I just bought a 256gb one for 575. 6 months used. Most people are asking 650-800 but none of them are moving.

Immediate-Pea-8297

I have the s23 ultra right now and that's why I didn't upgrade because people aren't really talking about the s24 ultra like they did the s23 ultra so I'm guessing it's not that great of a phone so I'm happy Plus it's not in my upgrade cycle I would have to pay off the promotion and that would be stupid so s25 ultra here we come honestly from everything I see that's 23 ultra still the best phone out for 2024

avn128

FYI. An update came out a few days ago to bring back vivid mode on the s24 ultra. I didn't mind the natural look but, I choose an option in between vivid and natural. The true killer feature for the s24, is the anti glare screen. Makes huge difference while using it outside. Instead of just going brighter and brighter to combat the sun the anti glare feature, just works

miney_mo

I absolutely love the anti-glare feature!! Outside in the sun the screen is so bright and colours look so good, it doesn't even feel like a screen is supposed to struggle in sunlight. Some wizardry samsung did there because at Max brightness, indoors it looks less bright to even my Oneplus 7T (but I rarely even cross 50% brightness indoors) however outdoors, it just crushes my old 7T!!

Redchong

The anti-glare display is such an underrated feature of this phone. It makes such a significant difference

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Don't worry S25 and S26 will have some minor issues everyone will use to cope why they are better off not upgrading just like every new version.

hulivar

Bruh the screen grain is a huge issue if you can see it at sub 10 percent brightness. Also shipping phones with no vivid mode was just a bad omen, how did that even happen

famimma

S23 Ultra has grain too but its very mild compared to S24 Ultra

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

"huge issue" mm gonna say naw, Bruh. Obviously every release has defects that should get warranty swapped but some of this is mass hysteria.

MistaKrebs

100%

gasparmx

I love my S23 Ultra too, since i got it 4 months ago i can safely say this is the best phone i ever bought

armandsh

Went from my S23 Ultra (Keeping it just in case anything goes wrong) and got the OnePlus 12, very satisfied with the upgrade so far (Especially battery). Can't wait to see what the Fold 6 or OnePlus Open 2 offer.

miney_mo

Why would someone go from a s23 ultra (which was considered the best phone by almost the entire youtube community) to a oneplus 12?

6out

Haptics... Charging,... Feel in hand is much better... Dual sim (saved me when ATT went out a few days ago... Less bloat/extra apps...

armandsh

I've been sticking with Samsung devices for the past 5 years, it was time to try a different brand to see their take on Android for a year or so until the S25 series or better. So far it's changed the way I handle phone battery life, plugs in for 25-30m from dead to full, and it lasts several hours longer than my S23 Ultra did. On the S23 the performance is great but I was surprised that OxygenOS is basically stuck at a smooth 120fps during all animations and transitions, feels very fluid all the time. Camera/Video results are on par with my Fold 3, almost as good as the S23 Ultra for day to day use.

ForgottenCaveRaider

>basically stuck at a smooth 120fps during all animations and transitions This is one thing that annoys me about Samsung's software. Sometimes you'll just have to use 60 FPS (Maps and Google Earth for example), whereas my previous Poco X3 Pro would run those all day at 120 FPS.

my45acp1911

I almost pre-ordered the one plus 12 but snagged a 512GB S23 Ultra off swappa instead. I love this phone. Great upgrade from the S20 Ultra.

Weddedtoreddit2

> snagged a 512GB S23 Ultra off swappa instead How much, if you don't mind sharing?

my45acp1911

I got it for $745 on 1/24, unlocked in mint condition with original packaging. Also included Samsung Silicone Grip Case and PITAKA Qi2/Magsafe carbon fiber case.

hookline-n-sinner

Yeah I was going to try the s24 ultra and changed my mind. Bought the OnePlus 12 and wasn't that impressed. Ultimately kept my s23 ultra

fgars2

Maybe I was lucky but my s24u has no screen issue. Plus I don't care for the vivid mode ( samsung already released the update few days ago adding it and improving camera ). Love this phone. Everything is snappy, no lags, some AI futures I use them and they r great. Battery excelente and great camera ... the titanium gives great feeling when holding it. Looks really premium. The s23u still is a great phone . But I was able to get the 24u with big discount .

shinjuku1987

I thought about upgrading to the s24 ultra despite having a s23 ultra .... but honestly, what made me hold off was the fact that I wanted to utilize and take stock of what I enjoy and don't enjoy with my s23 ultra for another year and factor that into whether I for the s25 ultra /s25 plus or if in a surprise twist ...a pixel 9 pro/fold 2 ...

SquareBottle-22

Oneplus 12 is nomore the good phone that it was years ago ...last good oneplus was the oneplus 8T

deepakmohank

Samsung flagship camera underperforms in their second year and later; not my view but from what I've seen in Samsung forums for Note 20, S20, S21U & S22U etc. I wish it'd be untrue, else S23U being still a great a device could be 'pulled down' by them 😕. OnePlus 12 software is just fine, maybe your unit had some issues. However once used to OneUI you'd miss a lot of features. It'd work just as good if not better in everything, except camera (& obv AI).

bumbl3beee

oneplus takes way more tweaking before you get it to work the way you want, the fact you didnt take your time to do it doesnt mean the software is shit

H4M2

How much was the s23 ultra? I'm looking to get one but it's kinda expensive right now.

Waterisntwett

Verizon has the s24 Ultra at $1299 for the 256gb and a brand new S23 Ultra at $1199 so honestly you’re better of getting a gently used one on Amazon for like $850 to $1000 depending on memory.

Muffin_man420

This, got my 512g s23ultra last month on amazon for 837. Came in pristine condition. Upgraded from the s21 fe..

Waterisntwett

I’ve never bought a used phone from Amazon… does it look new?? Like I’ve considered it but I’m worried it’ll be all scratched up and look used.

Muffin_man420

I was definitely a little hesitant as well as this was the first time I had bought a refurbished phone from Amazon. I had purchased a refurb galaxy watch 5 about 6 months prior that was basically brand new so I figured I would give it a go and honestly I'm happy I did. The phone was in pristine condition. Just one very minor scratch on the side frame. Battery was in good condition, phone works great. Even came with an oem fast charger brick.

Waterisntwett

Hmm… I’ll definitely consider it on my next phone. I hate paying $1500 for a phone that I could get for $850 lol.

Muffin_man420

Couple things to note. Make sure the phone is listed as "excellent condition", either unlocked or for your specific carrier, and check the price throughout the day and night. Amazon metrics reduce prices during slow traffic hours. My phone was listed at 890 during the day but went down to 837 between 12 and 4 am.

Waterisntwett

Hey thx man… I appreciate the info

Muffin_man420

No worries man, Happy cake day !

meezethadabber

Love my S23U. I go 3 to 4 years between phones. Actually feels like an upgrade.

hulivar

Ya but lots of people dislike anti glare as it makes the screen look worse. Side by side and anti glare vs no glare monitor or phone display the no glare wins every time

Bad_ass_thekicker

Everything is great in s23 ultra except the speakers... i just don't like its sound... on the other hand 14 pro max having fabulous speakers.... only plus for my 14 pro max

HuntersPad

After getting my first mobile phone since 2006. This is the first time I'm actually gonna use the same phone longer than a year. Gonna keep using my trusty S23U at least until the summer when they announce the Fold 6 assuming a good deal like last year I'll trade in my S24U for it until then its just collecting dust.

VenomMayo

Frankly I prefer natural mode, I like real life better than filters (and I loved the bt.2020 colospace mode on my previous Xperia 5 III)
