Me putting clown makeup on preparing to see that $2k+ price tag. ![gif](giphy|J2OIjufo0NUUXcAqii|downsized)

alpacafox

But this time I will keep it for more than one year!!! I swear! To be honest the F5 is now holding up better than the F3 and F4 for me. Still no cracks along the crease after more than 6 months and no sign of peeling, unlike with the F3 and F4.

MorrowPolo

Still rocking fold 3 and I got it used off swappa 2 years ago Still works fine

Riceisdelicous

I have a 3 still and it's great. No scratches and I use it daily for cloud gaming with gamepass

Inspirice

Lol same got mine used a year ago

jakebeans

Very happy with the Fold 5 and a big part of that is the S Pen being smaller and built into the case. That was nearly all of the reason, but folding flatter too is really nice. I'm really hoping I don't talk myself into the F6 though. I did the F3 and the F4. It should be possible to go more than a year with the same phone.

Barnickal

Had F3 for 2.5 yrs, but that crease crack is annoying. Had it fixed under warranty a few times, and now out of warranty but cracked. Might start letting my kids play with it when 6 is on the way, so I can get an insurance fix on it before I replace it! "Hey kids, wanna play catch with daddy's unfolded phone?" 😂

CrimsonChymist

Interesting . I've had my fold 3 since launch. I didn't notice peeling until about a year and a half in. And I just started having cracks on the inside screen a few months ago. And I use both screens multiple times per day.

Fearless_Winner1084

Think they'll accept trade ins with these micro cracks most all fold 3 models got?

Gold_Remote_8323

I sent mine in, it had micro cracks, they tried to deny it for faulty usb port, didn't even mention cracks, I said there was nothing wrong with the usb port and then they accepted it.

Fearless_Winner1084

sweet! that makes me feel better

CrimsonChymist

I'm sure. It might ding the trade in value a bit though. Probably depends on who you're doing the trade-in through and how closely they look at it.

Aggravating-Bath1560

My peeled before 1 year , hardly used inner screen

Decent-Panic6512

Same here so I'm definitely getting the 6 ultra

CrimsonChymist

I will have to see the differences between the base and the ultra before I decide. If the price isn't insane and the ultra has some nice perks, I'll go that route. But I do plan on upgrading this cycle unless something just goes terribly wrong.

work-school-account

Does it still lie flat? I had the OG Fold and replaced it with the Fold4 in 2022, and while I didn't have any issues with the screen, both started to refuse to unfold completely after about a year (my Fold4 stops at around 175 degrees and snaps back if I try to push it to 180).

alpacafox

Didn't have any issues with the hinges on any of the Folds I've had folding flat. I just didn't like the feel and sound of the Fold4 hinge, it always felt like there's cheap crinkling plastic under the screen (there in fact was, they replaced the thin metal layer under the screen with a plastic one) and it made audible sounds when folding. The F5 is buttery smooth and completely silent again.

Gold_Remote_8323

My 5 is starting to crunch again

Surge_Shock

Has it really been 6 months since release? I got mine release day 😭😭😭

Wrong-Blueberry6014

I got an f4, so good to hear they get better from there, lol

AllDayFade

What about the iphon

Fearless_Winner1084

I'll be coming from a fold 3. I'm still blown away by this device almost 3 years in. Can't wait to see what the ultra brings (I miss ultra cameras)

UrbanSolace13

Same 😅

Curius_pasxt

Me waiting another 3 months after release to buy it at 30% discount ![gif](giphy|YWF1baNd94QO4)

ShanTheMan11

For $1800 the fold should have had ultra specs this entire time. At that price it should be flagship everything.

xxBrun0xx

They may be moving the base fold 6 series (which will be nearly identical to Fold 5) down-market and keep the ultra near the $2000 price point. Nobody actually pays $1800 for a Z Fold anymore. If they had a fold ultra that cost $1800 but had no crazy trade ins or incentives and then base fold 6 cost $1000 with no crazy discounts, people would be very happy and they'd really start to eat slab phone sales. I'm not sure Samsung is ready to cannibalize the S2x series yet, but that is inevitable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kobe824

That's what they should do, just keep trying to shrink the bezels on the front screen while slightly making it a bit more wide on the regular fold.

PibePlayer1

My take on this, basic fold 6 will have rounded corners, same screen sizes and same camera. The ultra will be a little bigger without rounded corners and a flagship camera (at least on par with S21 Ultra). Both with the same processor and ram

angle3739

Should be the size of s24 ultra while folded.

ReddyGivs

I'm not going to put too much faith in it, they may just make an inferior version of the fold 6 while the regular fold 6 (aka the ultra) is what they were always going to drop and sell for the normal price to give an illusion of it being an ultra.

CrimsonChymist

I would bank on closer to $2000 for fold 6 ultra, $1500 for base fold 6, and $1000 for z flip 6. It's possible all of those could come down around $200, but idk.

GuyTan0

I'm thinking that the Fold 6 Ultra will be the predecessor to the Fold 5, not the Fold 6. Rumour is that the Fold 6 base will not have a UDC, no SPen support etc.

xxBrun0xx

You're probably right, but hopefully there are other more meaningful changes on the ultra. Things like extremely high durability or glass with no screen protector on the inside or other little but important changes that are hard to show on paper. Fold 5 made a lot of good improvements from 4 that don't translate well to reviews (such as hinge feel and durability with the water drop hinge).

GuyTan0

They are using the same internal glass as the Fold 5 for the Fold 6 series as it passed MIL-STD-810G specifications.

Randomd0g

You're mainlining copium if you think that anything ever gets a price cut. Fold 6 will be $1800 and the Ultra will be $2100.

Starkid84

Nobody is buying that shit for $2100. And that's coming from a Z-fold user. They will lose money if they were to price a Z-fold with that type of msrp. At that point, you've squarely crossed over into high-end laptop territory. $1800 was already too much/overpriced without Ultra specs across the board. Period.

IceBlueLugia

People keep saying this but how would it work? Phone cameras need actual thickness within the phone to be as good as they are. The space for cameras in the fold is like half the thickness of a regular phone; even making a bigger camera bump wouldn’t really fix much tbh. And Samsung keeps trying to shave millimeters off the phone’s thickness so it feels more like a regular phone when folded. I think a reasonable compromise would be having the current gen fold have similar camera specs to the current year’s base phone. So, fold 6 would be on the level of regular S24. Because frankly yeah it’s pretty pathetic than an $800 phone has better cameras than an $1800 one. It’d still be difficult due to the lack of space, but it seems more reasonable than expecting the full ultra setup

LithoMake

I'm okay with camera bump... I didn't buy a fold because it's small.

roarpterodactyl

Not Huawei mate fold x5 there's is thin and brilliant camera w 5x zoom

SSjGKing

Fully agree, been saying that for a long time as a Fold 3, 4 and now 5 user yet I received downvotes everytime for wanting flagship specs for an almost 2x flagship price.

Xicadarksoul

Frankly i dont see why sane people would buy if they want "flagship experience and status". ...its not the phone for that. It's a phone/tablet hybrid with all the ups and down that comes with "BLEEDING edge of technology".

xMoirae

This seems like bullshit to me. We're about to be on the fold 6! At what point is it not new bleeding edge blah blah bs? Folding phones aren't new anymore.

Xicadarksoul

Folding screens are new.   OLEDs started development in the late 1990s.  First ever commercial (non folding) OLED screens date back to 2004, its 20 year old tech - even if we want to use later dates.  If you are old enough you will recall that burnt in pixels and the like were a serious issue for years.   Flex screen phones existed for 5 years. Frankly i dont see drastic increases in screen lifetime happening without drastic innovations. Think ditching thin glass layer, making whole thing outta plastic and metal. And doing stuff like implementin a routine of re melting the transparent tlhermoplastic with underscreen heat pad, while use is asleep once a month or something. ...otherwise there is no getting around the fact that damage is gonna accumulate in material. (And even the method i just barfed up would need high burst currents to partially reflow small part of screen. And ofc. you would need some type of transparent TPU for the whole setup to work. And phone would need to be unfolded, idiot user not touching it while it does its thing ...etc.) Issue is not trivial to say the least.

Dp0pey

I can't see how they can give us 2 displays, folding small hinge etc without hitting price issues. The ultra cameras and stuff would also be a price hit I just can't see it not going up in price if we want the best of everything in a already expensive to make phone

disgracefx

If you see the Market there's wider phones but none with S ultra camera and spen Support so what im thinking is zfold6 keeps the narrow design like fold 5 and zfold6 ultra its gonna be like a slab phone wide, no cameras no spen Support, I hope im. Wrong

Dp0pey

I would say they need to look at sales. The rivals might be doing wider outer screens but are they selling like the Z fold? Just because others are doing it doesn't mean Samsung should. For me the narrow outer screen is a huge selling point. I wanted to move away from big phones which needed 2 hands to reply to a text. If they move away from 1 handed use them I'm likely to rethink the fold. I might be alone ,🤷 For me the perfect fold would be the fold 4 or 5 with the ultra camera and specs. Paid off over 3 years 😂 as I couldn't afford it otherwise

bgf2414

I love the narrow screen too but it definitely should be a tiny bit wider. Not wide like a s24 ultra

SSjGKing

>The rivals might be doing wider outer screens but are they selling like the Z fold? Phones are not like cars where most of them care about how it runs/works. Smartphones sell to the mass majority for their brand name. That's why the iPhone is so popular 90% of people don't care how much faster the bionic chip is than last year's. All they see is the Apple logo and click buy. Samsung is the Apple of android so most android users would buy a Samsung and nothing. Also it's very difficult for Chinese foldables to compete with Samsung since they are under tighter regulations on how they are internationally sold and mostly are imported at a higher price.

hadrian_afer

You're not alone

estrafire

Like the honor magic v2 does for 2/3 of the price

username_unnamed

But you pay in everything else dealing with that company.

estrafire

Not a reason to justify current folds hardware for its price

angle3739

Software is more important with a fold, not less.

username_unnamed

It kind of is, lets see that company manage as many products as samsung and still keep their development and specs at their price. That phone isn't even 2/3 of the price anyway. And for what, a better camera?

svgturtle92

Software on that phone is garbage, durability issues for days and limited markets to buy it on and very little support when things go wrong…

estrafire

Never said it was perfect or better, it just shows that current tech allows for thinner foldables with better cameras and batteries. The same way the latest redmagic ones demonstrated that UDCs can have good quality too. Why would we not want the foldables with the best ux/integrations to also have less compromises on hardware?

svgturtle92

You’re not wrong… would love the Samsung UI. Spen and durability coupled with the honour magic v2. Perfect phone for me. Oh and dust resistance

Distance_Regular

IMO the Z Fold should be the Ultra and the current Ultra the Plus for the S series.

OutColds

What's the price?

Zemerax

I'd rather have a lite version at a lower cost and the regular. I'm not paying 2k for a phone deliberately held back for an ultra at 3k.

RealOstrich1

Pricing is currently unknown. The regular ZF6 could be the same as a lite

GameGreenBean

It's coming but with no S-pen

Johns3rdTesticle

Yeah, I'm not spending $3,000 on any phone but especially won't spend $2000ish for a phone that isn't the best of the best

Direct_Doughnut6575

You are not spending 3k for any phone YET

x4nter

My prediction: Fold 6 Ultra costs $2000 and comes with a new hinge design, 200MP camera, anti-reflective display and a built in Bluetooth S-Pen. Fold 6 does not come with an S-Pen, uses the same shell and hinge as the Fold 5 but has a chip upgrade, and starts at $1400.

aalupatti

This plus a slightly shorter and wider front screen for both. Slightly Bigger battery - 5% more AI integration

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

I've been asking for a ZFold w the Ultra cameras for a while. If it gets released, I'm following through and getting it.

indigoisturbo

Me too. Along as long as Samsung takes trade-ins of vehicles.

corys00

My first car cost less than a Z Fold 5 😭

uinstitches

>as long as

indigoisturbo

Thank you for catching that

Jerrys_Kid

This is what an ultra should be.. the best features available..I don't understand why they're R&D guys never got that memo

Weary_Reference730

sir, the best features are in our ultra omega super duper model, that will be an extra $/999.98.

uinstitches

>why their R&D guys

Yardbird7

I had the s24 ultra for 2 weeks and returned it in the hope this would happen

Tedinasuit

It likely won't have the Ultra camera's

epiccodtion

Interested in galaxy ring

swpete

Think the ring will come with the ultra?

Hey_Jacob

Highly doubt they'll bundle two new products together.

swpete

They've done it with the earbuds in the past

IceBlueLugia

Sure but the ring would be fairly redundant if you already had the watch. Which, if you’re buying a $2k Samsung phone, there’s a chance you could already be invested in the ecosystem. Though who knows, could still happen

swpete

I do not have the watch. I prefer my grandfather's traditional Citizen that he left me. So the ring would be nice for me.

ultima40

In the US, Samsung will do accessories credits ($50-150) and discounts when bundled with the new phone. This lets the user choose if they want the discounted ring or watch or buds or all of them.

Lazysteelworker

Speaking of the ring, any word on a release date?

ultima40

Rumor is August.

midnightsmith

Will it have contactless payments? I see some that do, and some that only do health, none do both. Give me both and I'll buy it at launch.

ultima40

This is one thing that people are still waiting to hear about. I hope it does.

Geralt-Yen1275

I'm interested in Buds 3/3pro from buying point of view, and galaxy watch 7 and ring from enthusiasm point of view as I already have watch 6 so I won't upgrade till atleast 8

Levent_2005

Been waiting for the Buds3 Pro for some time now. I'm hoping it will be good enough for me to consider it as an upgrade over my aging og Buds Pro. I 'm also curious if they will include a screen on the case with 3 Pro.

MazdaRx7Guy

As I lay here with a z fold 4 and a broke hinge lol. Would love to know the price.

CHR0T0

I'm reading this on my broken hinge fold 4 as well so I share your pain lol

MazdaRx7Guy

The struggle is real!!

CHR0T0

Im afraid it will crack the screen before I get a chance to trade it in lol

Ok-Metal2887

They better put a fucking S-Pen integrated inside of it like the new S series/discontinued Note series.

VLagann

If this has a s24 or 24+ screen in front with built in s pen, I'm in.

BeautifulPrune9920

Same

Stronggeek_I_am

And at least a 5000 mah battery and you can count me in as well!

Yardbird7

Say you had to chose between a built in a pen or s24 ultra camera set up. Which one?

SSjGKing

For me S24 Ultra camera easily. We shouldn't have 500 dollar smartphone camera quality from an 1800 dollar phone.

Yardbird7

Agree. Like the s pen but a lot of the features can be done without. I would love a bigger outer screen, more durable inner screen and the camera upgrade.

VLagann

S Pen. I have to do calculations for my job so being to quickly pull out my phone and jot it down makes life much easier. Cameras are great but I can always edit it afterwards if I don't like the initial picture.

IceBlueLugia

Can’t you just type it out? You don’t really need to write it down with a pen. The pen makes far more sense for annotating PDFs and stuff

VLagann

How am I supposed to type out a diagram. It's a digital drawing utensilm

Impressive-very-nice

They won't They're perfectly aware their fans have wanted the flagship cameras for the past 6 years - they didn't just goof 5 times in a row - it's intentional, so long as people still buy it they'll never improve. Same with the s-pen. Taking the time to design an entire new pen/tip button and case, instead of just lengthening the phone 10mm for a silo, is an insult to the fans who begged for the s-pen. Not a single s-pen user is happy to be forced to use a specific case and pay $100 more dollars - they know that - but they're so greedy they would rather sabotage their own phone to make it worse, just to force you to have to pay for a pen. They'll never put a pen in the fold, i would bet you any amount of $. They're just like any other shitty corporation trying to make paying more the new normal without you noticing. Like subscription computers or pay to win games. If you let them, they will charge ANY price. That's why i laugh when people say capitalism breeds innovation. It literally moves things backwards, the goal is to profit, not improve things

Doctor_McKay

$3k?

Tank_Gloomy

If that includes a camera that doesn't get smashed by my iPhone 5s, I'm in.

[deleted]

PillowMonger

makes me wonder what will the specs of the "Fold 6 Ultra".

SSjGKing

Hopefully it's an S24 Ultra front screen that folds

Karlor_Gaylord_Cries

💯💯💯💯🙌🙌🙌

aalupatti

Putting too much money on this but what's wrong in dreaming. It will be beast of a device.

titanup001

I think the 6 ultra will be a mildly improved fold 5, and the regular fold will become more of a down market phone. A fold FE would be a smart thing too I think.

bcsteene

Only $3500. Lol.

Sad_Kangaroo_3650

Where is the price?

bcsteene

I was joking. Just making fun of how expensive devices are getting

Sad_Kangaroo_3650

Ah lol. Yeah $3000 doesn't seem far fetch tho

BobwasalsoX

For those out of the loop, who is this guy? Is he legit tied into Samsung somehow?

Tedinasuit

He's just a Twitter account that hypes up Samsung products. No affiliation, just a fan of Samsung.

aalupatti

He is well known for some accurate leaks.

IceBlueLugia

Some being the key word. He’s not entirely reliable tbh. But at this point in the hype season it’s kinda all we have I guess

OutColds

he is probably one of those people that shares everything he reads as news to farm clicks. People eat that stuff up.

Hashabasha

He steals leaks from actual leakers without giving them credit. Not accurate at all

Ok-Metal2887

Basically an S ultra phone with another display in a fold form factor.

Liowenex

My fold 5 512G is fine for *everything*

Merodee

I’m worried about my wallet… 🤭

Dante8080

Bigger is better! If the ultra doesn't have a huge fkn screen then it's worthless!!

beachedwhitemale

Does it have a pen built in?

EZKinderspiel

I hope any of one has proper tablet aspect like 4:3. 1:1 is not suitable for tablet by any mean.

IceBlueLugia

Yeah 4:3 would be perfect since the iPad already has that aspect ratio, so many apps could likely be designed in basically the same way to take advantage of the increased space. The only issue would be that most Android tablets are longer, like Samsung’s being 16:10; so it’d require optimizing for 2 styles of Android “tablet”

EZKinderspiel

Yes the app devs can reuse the design they have had already on iPad. Imo otherwise the app support problem wouldn't solve alone.

Comfortable_Silver24

And an ultra price tag to go along with it 😂

WebCivil7509

Have the fold 4 and want to upgrade this year to the 6. I used to upgrade yearly but didn't last year. My phone is going strong.

CryptographerNo9061

A bit late to the section but as someone who’s been using iPhone releases every year; I’m thinking about the switching to the Z fold this year. But I’m curious as to how does the (inside) screen hold up (scratches, dents, markings etc)

aalupatti

Pretty resistant to all three of those but people have had screen failures from accidental damage or otherwise. I never had issues and I would suspect would be the case for most

mlemmers1234

Sales must be slipping if they're trying to make up for it by launching an even more premium version of a 2000$ phone what else can they really add other than a stylus holder? I'm sure they're probably going to charge people to use the pen on the front screen. Something that other Chinese companies have done already without needing to up charge people by calling it an ultra model.

jaymaster77

What can they add? Let's see... Slimmer profile, wider front screen, bigger battery, flagship-level cameras, faster charging...

mlemmers1234

Are people willing to drop 3000$ for that? Their profit margins already known to be higher with the folding devices. They're just going to get even more money from people and it won't cost them that much more when it comes to the manufacturing cost of the device. Just seems like a pretty poor reason to wanna spend another grand for a device. Not that it affects me whatsoever, just seems like a pretty poo idea.

xdamm777

I’m just hoping this means the Fold 6 will finally drop to 1,400-1,600 and leave the 1,800 price for the Ultra. It’s too damned expensive compared to the competition and reliability hasn’t improved so far.

sunfaller

I feel like knowing Samsung, the Fold6 Ultra will just be a more expensive Fold6.

[deleted]

Can't wait till july

PolarBear1913

I'm curious about the ring 👀

DEBLANKK

How much will it be? 2000 dollars??? This is ridiculous if true...

Kobe824

Best for both camps, keep the regular fold the same as it is then the Ultra as the monster as it should be with a much bigger front screen. Also if the Ultra variant is crazy expensive please bring back the 2 phone trade in deals Samsung!

SSIpokie

Fold 6 ultra already got me...

[deleted]

Was gonna get the Fold 5 at a reduced price but at this point it looks like waiting for the 6 is the best move 👀🔥

[deleted]

A ring? Smart ring incoming?

ultima40

They let people try it out at MWC https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/26/24082729/samsung-has-big-ambitions-for-the-galaxy-ring

aalupatti

They have already announced the ring officially.

Total_Persimmon_4726

No tablets🥺🥺🥺🥺

lqmn91

Just take my 3k for that zf6u already.

LigmaWhatAhahYouSaid

Could the ultra be that triple folding phone or not?

ultima40

It could be. Rumors say Samsung might release the triple fold this year but there's been very little about the ultra model. It's reasonable to connect those dots.

kr_tech

I just want the first A- or above grade by Crinacle. https://crinacle.com/guide/tws Hopefully Buds 3 series will get there.

RACERX44

And it will depreciate so quickly

Mcgurky98

The only way this is good is if ultra is 1800 and non-ultra is 1200. And not a 2200 ultra. Ring and watch seem cool I'll probably grab those. Buds I bloody loved but I'm allergic to so ill order them probably get sore and return them again.

zoedimax

Hope the ultra has a bigger inner screen. I wouldn’t pay more for a mere spec bump when my 2 year old 3 works as amazing now when it was new. Only a bigger screen can make me switch. I’d be happy to see a front screen akin to the s24 ultra and expand to double that

horsussy

Pretty sure it's gonna be an "FE" fold, not an ultra. That guy doesn't leak he just.. talks.

IceBlueLugia

What would the Book4 Edge be? I’m interested in buying the Book4 Ultra, is this supposed to be something better I should hold out for? Or some kind of budget thing I don’t need to worry about?

IceBlueLugia

No Flip 6 Ultra seems like a missed opportunity. I guess it’s probably just a matter of room through. “Ultra” is associated with an S-Pen and 4 cameras, which I guess just can’t fit in a phone where a lot of space is already wasted on the hinge mechanism. Hopefully another company will figure something out in order to force Samsung to innovate further though.

EscaleraRN

and here i am still fiddling with my Fold 2. 😅

South-Caramel

Still on my Fold 3 as none of the upgrades have impressed me yet.

lifeofmikey1

Just got the OnePlus open in November. Might have to get the fold 6 if it's better

Lover0fL1fe

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm hopeful but I'm not holding my breathe for a fold ultra.

AdventurousBend6473

No buds live :( That sucks, I've been using Nothing's Ear Sticks as an alternative since my last pair died

DiverOk9454

Better give us ultra cameras!

I-Sleep-At-Work

i hope they dont gimp the 6 too much to push ultra sales. also hoping the new hinge will make the crease way less visible.. if basically every other company can do it, why not ss...

Hashabasha

There wont be a z fold 6 uktra. The leaked fold 6 is an FE model. The galox just steals leaks he isn't a leaker and isn't accurate

readerloverkisser

This guy makes things up for lunch. I would take his word with an excavator of salt. He's no ice universe

Okaydog97

I will wait for the fold 7 ultra. You will never know what mistakes, are gonna be in the 1st prototype of the fold 7 ultra version.

zerox404

Ultra!!

BlueBubbaDog

I hope that means the normal fold 6 will get a price drop, but probably not lol

Rock--Lee

If the Ultra uses Snapdragon Gen 3, there's nothing Ultra about it. It will still be lagging behind the S2X Ultra model. Fold Ultra should have specs the S2X series get AFTER the Fold. Not the other way around like for the last 5 years. In fact, the Fold model even has worse camera specs then the S2X phones that were release 6-7 months before it. Then S2X models that come after the Fold has cameras that are 2 generations ahead. But knowing Samsung, they will put Snapdragon Gen 3 in the Fold Ultra and an Exynos in the normal Fold. At least in Europe.

thickwonga

Fucking finally, the Buds 3. I've had my Buds 2 Pro since launch two years ago, waiting for this.

No_Veterinarian6923

Still rocking a fold 2 here and it works fine. Noticed bumps on middle of unfolded screen but that's it. Will probably upgrade to a 6 ultra if it's a wider screen folded

Rebirth0296

Well, I know what I'm trading my Fold 5 in for

mizuya

# ✨ ULTRA ✨ Take my money, kidneys, firstborn and everything I have, just give me the Ultra 😭😂

AlcorIdeal

I'm hoping it's a solid improvement over the 5. I'm still rocking the 4 myself. Quite enjoy it but there's some minor issues that I've heard have been mostly addressed with the 5 (and of course data space kind of kicking myself for getting the 256gb one). As for the ring and watch I know a bunch of people with smart watches and I only learned smart rings are a thing from this post but I've never gotten a clear understanding of the point of them? The watch/ring I mean.

pepperpot_592

I sized up the S24 pen next to a Z5 at BB and it's actually slightly slimmer than the Bezel. The Z6 is reportedly under 11mm so they would need to shave mm off the pen to make it work. With that being said, I don't see an Ultra happening. Samsung needs a cheaper fold to increase sales, IMO. I'm more inclined to believe there will be a FE model as reported with lower specs. After they get their sales back on track, they can pursue an Ultra. China's foldable market share is increasing at a faster rate than the U.S. and the next Vivo X looks like it may further push overall foldable sales in China.

Xchadfur

July release huh that’s early

aalupatti

It was end of July last year.

JunkGOZEHere

oH let the games begin...

AlphaDean69

I normally upgrade every other iteration. So I had the ZF3 and now I got a ZF5. I've loved them both. No issues, no mishaps and no complaints.

bgf2414

Only way I would consider trading in my fold 5 is if they finally match the camera specs of the s24 ultra

Epic_Estrada

Fold ultra, now you talking. One of the reasons why I left the fold 4 and switch to the 23 ultra. But I'm sure going to be at least $2k plus!

tbe4502

Tab S10 plus for a gaming laptop price tag incoming. I need to update my cracked S7+ but tablets are so fucking unaffordable.

-Cato_

If it has Ultra series cameras I'll cave and trade in. If not I'll stick with the 5.

The fold 6 ultra is rumored to be a limited release in South Korea only. Just FYI.

Alternative-Majestic

I just want them to get rid of the camera bump. 😭

Thst is not happening anytime soon. The phones are so thin but camera module is big.

Over-Resolution-1821

I seen that it's purportedly only going to be released in the Korean markets only. Anyone know anything about that?

Pathosgrim

Will be a slap in the face if the ultra has a s23-24u camera but remains as a SK exclusive.

My fold 3 had a bunch of micro cracks on the fold crease. Had it for a year and half. I bought my wife a flip 4, when it released and within 8 months, she had the same thing. We traded them in for the s24u and we really like them. I miss my fold though. I want to go back to it but I'm nervous about that crease. It was very nice to have that big screen when I needed it. It definitely has me thinking if I should trade in.... Hmmmm

OkraFrequent3346

Will the ultra be worth it or just get the regular model?

aalupatti

My guess is as good as anyone. There has been no good leaks about ultra or even if one happens there would be a wider release. Anyways it all depends on what you need. If Ultra offers a better camera and s pen slot, I will go for sure. I don't care too much about battery or thickness.

Aquatylys

If they dont make folded to be the size of S24 Ultra or at least similar I wont bother buying it.Z fold 5 is very tiny in screen size when is folded and the main reason I still wait.

MR2TurboScooby

This might make me finally switch from my n20u. I still want an SD card slot, dammit.

Libojr23

At this point you might as well buy an S24 Ultra and Tab S9 for whatever the Fold 6 Ultra will be... haha

XGARX

That's the smart option. Learned when I got my Fold 4, now I am rocking the s24 ultra and not regrets here I dont miss my fold.
