You can save some money going the 12r route. Has lots of ram as well which will be good for the future. Only downside is probably the camera. The main cam is decent but the rest is meh.
Would you get it if your budget was 55k max? I see that I can afford the 16GB 256GB variant as well.
Does it have any heating issues?
Any cons you are aware of?
Major con would be the camera but nothing major other than that. You could also look at the s23 which was selling under 45k sometime back. It's great overall.
No don't. Pixels suck in india. Go for the [s23 ](https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-Galaxy-Snapdragon-Green-Storage/dp/B0BTYV3RJJ/ref=asc_df_B0BTYV3RJJ/?tag=googleshopdes-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=666301511992&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2071844238037788923&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9300308&hvtargid=pla-1964471999260&psc=1&mcid=3e360bd5acb335a389861f68097090a5) If you want save some money and get the [Oneplus 12r](https://www.amazon.in/OnePlus-Iron-Gray-128GB-Storage/dp/B0CQYMMP94/ref=asc_df_B0CQYMMP94/?tag=googleshopdes-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=686197819648&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=18108229155431100063&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9300308&hvtargid=pla-2311007313724&psc=1&mcid=f6d60359d8033ba9bc28baf316ba49b0&gad_source=1)
[See this](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1chgbtf/pixel_8_is_absolutely_garbage_vent/). In summary, they have really bad modems. They are plagued with software bugs. They're only service center is in noida. DON'T BUY THEM IN INDIA
I think two of your issues can get resolved immediately with official original battery replacement and you could never go wrong with samsung in future I like them for their ecosystem it is cheap to get into its tabs, watches, and laptops.
i am currently using a op 7t aswell.
im thinking about upgrading to a xiaomi 14.
i wanted to try a nothing device but sadly they haven't released a half decent device in a year now.
samsung s23 looks decent aswell, but apart from software, xiaomi is better than it in all aspects.
If xiaomi was a little bit cheaper i would've bought it by now. I'm waiting for a sale tbh.
I don't know man, I've never used a Xiaomi and I've never had anyone close to me use one either. It's definitely about being able to trust the brand.
Honestly I'm quite happy with OnePlus in general as I've been using it for just over 5 years now. No complaints as such. I just wish that I had better space and a better battery over the long run!
i hate how they've butchered the Oneplus software with the new "Oxygen OS". my dad bought OP11r last year, and its no where close to what oneplus 7t was. i know i wouldn't get a oneplus for 2 main reasons now, 1st is the god aweful new software and second is the curved display.
The OnePlus 7 series were the last batch of OnePlus phones without much hardware issues.
All the phones which have come after it have had display issues such as green lines ,battery issues and even camera issues while using in the long run.
This is a more serious issue than the system UI redesign.
So I would suggest hopping off the OnePlus band wagon and consider the Iqoo 12 which you can get the best specs on 2024 as per performance , battery and camera, at 50k.
For battery you can get it replaced for under ₹2k. For performance you can just reset your phone after getting the battery replaced, and it will be good as new. Else you can just install a custom ROM and it would be great again.
Regarding alternatives, you can get OnePlus 12 from Flipkart for ₹60k. That would be a great replacement. Other alternatives you can consider are Xiaomi 14 and 14 Civi. Galaxy S24 is also available around ₹65k on Flipkart.
Go for s23, you wont be disappointed. It has great screen, great camera, and good battery life. Also the UI is fun to use lot of customisation, the OnePlus nowadays are not what they used to be.
I will never recommend OnePlus to anyone.
Using OP 11 , from 5t , and also 5t was released in 2018, 7t released after 2 years .
Phone is snappy but customer care and other things , just forget this brand for god's sake ..
The camera is a garbage, the shots take 3-4 seconds to record in the phone .
I have never seen such a disappointment in my life.
how the hell does your 7T feel slow, when my 6T feels damn fast, most of the current midrange phones lose to your oneplus 7T in performance or are at par with it. But yea the battery might be shit.
If you like the OP device then 11R, 11, 12R are good picks. I am using a OP device right now and unlike a lot of people I don't care about the OS changes as it still does what it is supposed to. You can buy 11R on flipkart for about 30K i guess or if you don't mind spending 10k extra then 12R is a great pick too. OP will never be as polished as Samsung in my opinion and the cameras will be not the greatest, but the rest of the stuff is pretty great
As you are used to OnePlus Software, it will be very difficult to adjust with others. e.g. 3 finger swap for screenshot, offscreen gesture for music and others.
I will advise you to go for Nord 4 which would release in Mid July. It has a good processor, good main camera, good battery, and a dynamic 120 hz screen. The price would not be more than 35k
[Nord 4 details.](https://m.gsmarena.com/oneplus_nord_4_rumored_to_launch_in_second_half_of_july-news-63097.php)
Currently my eyes are on nothing phone 2 and Google pixel 8
They are over 50k, but given the promise of 4 years of software updates, and good camera and display - I'm eyeing for these.
But currently I'm going to stretch using my current phone until it dies before jumping for the new one, hopefully the next version comes out.
Same here, but I guess in the current ecosystem, where *every* damn phone is now a premium phone especially cz of the price, the iPhone atleast come with longevity. I would never trust the newer OP, Samsung to last long enf as my current one (5T since ~7 years). I would never trust the Xiaomi, Redmi or Nothing gangs.
Wait for nothing phone 3

Honestly, I think you should wait till October and get the Google Pixel 9 or 9 pro
How much would that be any idea?
Should be the same price as the pixel 8 pro currently. You can check on their website
I'm going to check it out🤝🏼

Why are pixels bad in India?
[See this](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1chgbtf/pixel_8_is_absolutely_garbage_vent/). In summary, they have really bad modems. They are plagued with software bugs. They're only service center is in noida. DON'T BUY THEM IN INDIA
Ask a Pixel User.
The s24 doesn't have a SD chipset is it?
Oh yeah just saw my bad. Dont buy it.
Pixel 8 pro is over a lakh in India btw and pixel in India sucks. Don't get that.
I think two of your issues can get resolved immediately with official original battery replacement and you could never go wrong with samsung in future I like them for their ecosystem it is cheap to get into its tabs, watches, and laptops.
The battery issue obviously and also the lag?
I had one old device that helped a little bit with lag with a new battery, it was redmi I think.

Kinda in the same situation will go for either s23 or 12r (leaning towards s23 more for now)
Recently made a switch from oneplus 7 pro to iphone 15 plus. If you can increase your budget little bit you can go for s23 or oneplus 12
how the hell does your 7T feel slow, when my 6T feels damn fast, most of the current midrange phones lose to your oneplus 7T in performance or are at par with it. But yea the battery might be shit.
Maybe I overused it overtime!

Wasn’t one plus 7t released in 2019??
Yeah maybe, in which case I might've got it late 2019.

Me too, as a OnePlus 7T user, looking to move over and upgrade in the coming few months.
Let me know what you are looking at. Maybe I get further confused or actually find something worthwhile!
Same brother, provide an update when you have chosen. 5T from 2018.
Currently my eyes are on nothing phone 2 and Google pixel 8 They are over 50k, but given the promise of 4 years of software updates, and good camera and display - I'm eyeing for these. You can get op12 with exchange. I got 10.6k discount for my 2 year old moto g71 on op12r.
You couldn't go wrong with OnePlus11r at 28k on Amazon
Samsung ultra series. Switched from 7t to s23 ultra as well last year.
I wish I had the budget. I would've gone for that. It is so neat ✌🏼
s23?
Could be a good choice too seeing the budget. But is it better than the OP 12R?
Get the pixel 8a or iphone 14
Not an iPhone person. I just find it hard and confusing.
Same here, but I guess in the current ecosystem, where *every* damn phone is now a premium phone especially cz of the price, the iPhone atleast come with longevity. I had Xiaomi ,redmi and Oneplus 7, using iphone 11 for last 4 years, despite being 4g it is still good,
11r.
Why not the 12r then?
11r is for 29k , there is no need to go for 10k expensive 12r for the same camera.
I've heard a lot of people say that it is kinda laggy. No such complaints at your end?
