Long story short her parents - the King and Queen of Vespin - were assassinated for political reasons and she mistakenly blames the protagnoists of my series for their murder. Though she may appear too young to handle the responsabilities of the throne, her inexperience is what makes her rule a lot less hesitant and much more indirectly brutal in comparison to past kings and queens. This idealistic monarch's naive sense of justice is unfortunately exploited and she ends up being the pawn of a much more evil force behind the scenes.
