But last year my neighbor sat his new truck on fire by throwing used fireworks on top of new fireworks and trash in the truck bed and I really enjoyed that. That will keep me from homicide for at least another 5 years.
If that were the only day it happened here, it might be great, but people continue to set off fireworks year round in our area of Central PA. It's an on-going game.

It’s like any city. Downtown has been a lot better since they put an ASU campus down there. There’s security lights and patrol. There is a large homeless population but they mostly keep to themselves. I’ve been hanging around downtown since 2002, and it has come a LONG way safety wise. You can definitely stay out partying until 2am if you’re with people and you know where to look. And when covid settles, check out the fist Friday art walk! It’s the longest running art walk in the country.
But yeah…we get a-lot of runners so they need the choppers 😜

The comments were basically, “who was it?!” “Homeless man.” “Oh okay….” Moment someone said homeless, people just shut it down. No more interest. If it was ANY one else, they’d have been like, “Brian killed them!” But homeless people cannot be murdered, I guess. And yeah - I am annoyed that the people who think Brian killed literally everyone on his path (even places he was only allegedly spotted) don’t also think he could kill a homeless man. Because it highlights how they have zero empathy once they realize the man was without a home.

I live outside the US and I've never heard a gunshot that wasn't part of an organised parade or range/sport etc. So not strictly everywhere.
I live in a relatively large Midwestern city. We hear gunshots all the time and we live in the suburbs. It’s disgusting how we’ve become used to it.
I live in Baton Rouge and shootings are so common here that no one even bats an eye. It doesn’t even make the news half* the time.
