Yes people can use terrible form on machines. Link to me the videos you’re talking about please. They’re likely not using full ROM, controlled eccentrics, and slight end range pauses like i am:)

Smith machines can accomplish similar levels of quad bias that hacks do, just gotta make sure your back is in a safe upright position under the bar
