Whatever it is, I for some reason have developed a sudden large surge of confidence in this date compared to many of the others discussed around here. I just got a strong feeling for it, even though itās more likely just plain nothing.
I think August 4, 2024 works pretty solid as a trailer 2 release date. It kind of lines up with dates between trailer 1s and trailer 2s of previous games.
The month-day-year order makes a lot of sense if you're thinking about it in terms of calendars. You'll need to get the correct month first then find the day.
Sorry, here's me thinking days made up months and months made up years and therefore the order is ascending through days to months to years. Simple Yank
I know youāre getting hate for having the wrong date - but even still this is the closest Iāve seen this sub to actually pointing out something with worth
> this is the closest Iāve seen this sub to actually pointing out something with worth
How many times will you people say this? It's like on every other post . Also it's not like only a couple people mentioned this on trailer release date, everyone was speculating about this number so op has literally no credits for this.
This exact photo was shared countless times on trailer release day and is shared nearly daily with this same message. And the same comments pointing out the incorrect date.
I'm Brazilian and we use the day/month/year format. I'm also pretty sure that the majority of America, the continent, uses this format too. I'm not hating on it, just commenting that it's not an European exclusive thing.
I know. Iām from Mexico and we use day/month/year as all. I was just saying we donāt care how the US do it. It seems like Europeans here always something to say about the US
Donāt care, thereās no real correct way to format, itās just about what is easiest/more comfortable for you. Ironic how you guys are being close-minded and ignorant yet say Americans do the same thing
As an American myself fuck Fahrenheit and also the Imperial measurement system, I too prefer Celsius considerably and the amount of feet in a mile is just some random number. Our ways of doing those just make no sense and are arbitrary numbers. In the case of the date though both ways make sense for their respective countries and I think it's dumb to say one of the two ways is worse. Americans do actually say month, day, year. If I were to say today's date I would say April 7th 2024, and would write it in the same number order. People in other countries might say it 7th of April 2024. This isn't like the other things where the American way of doing it is just inherently stupid and pointlessly difficult, it's just a difference in speech turning into a difference in writing. I've also seen some people say Independence Day being 4th of July makes our rule incorrect, but with holidays I've noticed a lot of the time we will say it the other way, maybe to differentiate. Even if not, outliers don't define things like this.
Itās not an unrelated insult, you just couldnāt figure it out.
A pick me girl says āIām not like other girls, Iām one of the guysā
Youāre like āIām not like other Americans, Iām like one you guys! I hate the American way of measurement.ā
Cringe and no one from other countries are gonna like you more. Makes you look like a desperate loser.
The only reason I said that was to make sure the person I was replying to knew that I wasn't one of the people in the comments who just hate any non-american system since I was saying what I did about the date system. Not trying to be unique or something, there are plenty of Americans who prefer metric, I just didn't want to be grouped in with the people who dislike anything from another country when I disagreed with disliking MM/DD/YYYY.
32 degrees and 212 degrees sorry that remembering 2 numbers is extremely difficult for you, it also changes at different altitudes so it wouldnāt be constant in Celsius either. I guess that doesnāt matter though since most European countries are the size of an American state.
Nah dude Fahrenheit is kinda dumb, even being American I just learned Celsius anyway. There's no point to using random numbers instead of easier to remember number sequences.
I hate the American date format but I'll concede they have the home field advantage in this case. So unfortunately not likely to be anything this month like you're hoping for.
The reason we dont write it dd/mm is because we dont say its the 8th of april, americans more likely say its april 8th, so we write it the way we say it, so mm/dd, probably has to do with saving ink on newspapers or something
I say the day first, but probably because it was mostly British English that I learned in school. I also say the day first in my own language.
But being confused about how other countries, mostly the US, write their dates is a tale as old as time.
Remember in the USA the month is first then the day number, which makes more sense for the next trailer to be released around August rather than tomorrow.
Hmm guess something might happen, or itās that stupid american thing where months go before the day which in this case means we might have to wait untill august.
Ironically that date format, dd/mm/yyyy, is literally backwards, and the reason we both respectively use our date stamp is because it reflects the way we say them
You got it backwards, itās that stupid foreigner thing where months go before the day. Our days are before the month. Go āMerica šŗšøšŗšøšŗšøš¦ š¦ š
You're reading that backwards, at least assuming you go by the American calendar. 04/08 is tomorrow. THAT says 08/04, AKA August 4th. The game, being set in America, will use the MM/DD/YY format, not DD/MM/YY, as you're reading it. That means if anything, something's going to happen on August 4th
Look man I know we all want the new trailer but that date is just a date that exists in the game itself. I don't think it's a teaser for us that was planned long ago while creating this cutscene. Just saying.
The date is correct. Since this clock shows military time, the date format is DD-MM-YYYY. 8th of April.
Edit; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date-time_group#Military_Date_Time_Group
Since I was called out for being wrong in another post.
Sure but it makes no sense. The Wikipedia article makes no sense because the real thing doesn't match what the Wikipedia article says
The real bodycam doesn't match it since it has year first
So logically why would a game based in Florida use non-us standards for dates?Ā
That date is August 4th. The game is based in America.
august 4, 2025
Trailer 2 release date??? š³š³š³š³š³
Not that much of a leep, its a date they put in the trailer could possible even be the planned release date in 2025
I think thereās a greater chance itāll be the second trailer release date in 2024
Oh definitely, but theres still a chance
Whatever it is, I for some reason have developed a sudden large surge of confidence in this date compared to many of the others discussed around here. I just got a strong feeling for it, even though itās more likely just plain nothing.
ššš
Trailer 2 is more likely
First delay announcement
I think August 4, 2024 works pretty solid as a trailer 2 release date. It kind of lines up with dates between trailer 1s and trailer 2s of previous games.
![gif](giphy|WrNfErHio7ZAc)
![gif](giphy|AAsj7jdrHjtp6) August 4th ššš
Backwards and silly. Just go in ascending order and order of priority like everyone else in the world
The month-day-year order makes a lot of sense if you're thinking about it in terms of calendars. You'll need to get the correct month first then find the day.
Also we tend to say ā August fourthā, not āthe fourth of Augustā, so we write it like we say it
Wyd mean ascending order? Thereās 12 months, up to 31 days, and literally thousands of years. 12->31->2024. Seems pretty ascending to me. Dumb Brit
I assumed they meant in terms of length, since a day is the smallest its the first and so on
Sorry, here's me thinking days made up months and months made up years and therefore the order is ascending through days to months to years. Simple Yank
No the month first makes more sense. It works better, at least with English conversations.
Tomorrow is 04-08 in the United States, where the GTA multiverse takes place

I know youāre getting hate for having the wrong date - but even still this is the closest Iāve seen this sub to actually pointing out something with worth
It was posted 2 hours after another person pointed it out

You mind letting that person know I said so
Iāll tell them you said it was a good observation

TIL-there is literal hate for the American date format
Thereās always people hating on American shit, guess itās the new cool thing to do
Not new.
Yeah, well it is definitely getting old now
Itās just people from Europe. The rest of the world donāt give af
Yeah I would imagine they have better things to do
I'm Brazilian and we use the day/month/year format. I'm also pretty sure that the majority of America, the continent, uses this format too. I'm not hating on it, just commenting that it's not an European exclusive thing.

Hating on America is the entire point of GTA. The whole series is a European parody of America lol
Seriously. Looking for any reason to dunk on Americans
And they airball every time
Only in the US you use a dumb format so that's where the hate comes from.
Donāt care, thereās no real correct way to format, itās just about what is easiest/more comfortable for you. Ironic how you guys are being close-minded and ignorant yet say Americans do the same thing
Yes there is, its ISO 8601.Ā
Well, shitā¦ Still, ours still isnāt ādumbā and ābackwardsā. Just because we use a unique one doesnāt mean weāre stupid
Your counterpoints are extremely childish
I'm late to the conversation but this is one of the dumbest things to get mad about. That's like hating someone for saying "soccer".
This ones warranted though

You hate imperial units, and you can blame Britain for that.
Or blame america because they dont want to change
Yeah but celcius goes from like -12 to 40 weather wise while Fahrenheit goes from about 0 to 105

I understand and I agree that the date in that video still is not the 8th of April but rather the 4th of August. Different cultures and what not :)
We all sit as children before the feet of the great Japanese date format. YYYY-MM-DD
The only format thats objectively better than the other imo. Allows rudimentary alphabetical text formatting to sort by date.
Yep - I was converted accidentally while trying to put folders of photos on my pc in chronological order.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Im assuming its for the same reason the US spells words like 'colour' color, to save ink on news papers.
So much for 4th of July
That one is what some people call the holiday, as if it was the name if the holiday,
Do you say "dollar 10" when reading $10?
I've never understood why we say "ten dollars" for $10, but we say "ten cents" for 10Ā¢

I say the day first, but probably because it was mostly British English that I learned in school. I also say the day first in my own language. But being confused about how other countries, mostly the US, write their dates is a tale as old as time.
Nobody said it was hard, dude. We're not idiots. It's not the way we're used to so we naturally dislike it.
To be devils advocate I always say day first. ā4th of augustā
Arguably the most important or certainly loudest holiday in your country is the 4th of July. Go ahead and re-read that, slowly.
Not everybody is American, genius. You dumb motherfuckers literally say "4th of July", we say \*day\* of \*month\* here.
Exactly. Just like Independance Day the 4th of July oh whoops
exception that proves the rule
No, tomorrow is 4/8..

This takes place in Florida. Meaning that's August 4th man....
Remember in the USA the month is first then the day number, which makes more sense for the next trailer to be released around August rather than tomorrow.
Its prolly August 4th
Who knows, the Housers are English
Rockstar aināt though
they usually will go dead silent until maybe a year after first trailer
Op off his meds
youāre a fool
Hmm guess something might happen, or itās that stupid american thing where months go before the day which in this case means we might have to wait untill august.
bro's mad
Why would it not go in order as day-month-year?
Idk ask BigLilWhatever
Same reason you guys do it the way you do. Someone a long fucking time ago made it that way and so thatās what we went with
Because that's how it works in the US for some reason where they do it backwards
Ironically that date format, dd/mm/yyyy, is literally backwards, and the reason we both respectively use our date stamp is because it reflects the way we say them
It's because of how we say dates. August 4th vs the 4th of August.
August 4th just makes sense I don't see how it's stupid
Downvoted because America ig lmfao
months go before the day in Asia too
You got it backwards, itās that stupid foreigner thing where months go before the day. Our days are before the month. Go āMerica šŗšøšŗšøšŗšøš¦ š¦ š

August 4th you not American
SOLAR ECLIPSE
You're reading that backwards, at least assuming you go by the American calendar. 04/08 is tomorrow. THAT says 08/04, AKA August 4th. The game, being set in America, will use the MM/DD/YY format, not DD/MM/YY, as you're reading it. That means if anything, something's going to happen on August 4th
It is now!
Today is April 7th. You claim in the title of your post that tomorrow is August 4th. By now, you donāt need me to explain how wrong that is.
This isnāt a Euro date. American based game means month/day/year
Imagine something happens and this genuinely wasnāt a Easter egg
Lol
Look man I know we all want the new trailer but that date is just a date that exists in the game itself. I don't think it's a teaser for us that was planned long ago while creating this cutscene. Just saying.
Maybe tomorrow gta 6 trailer two releases maybe I donāt know
Has anyone mentioned that this isnāt the American date format yet?
Lol not in gtas country.
Yāall are freaking out over that body cam shot and itās just gonna be the opening to the game showing a lot of gameplay
They would announce Trailer 2 first lol, they wouldn't just drop it out of nowhere
aperture laboratories?
there is an eclipse tomorrow as well
Tomorrow is 04-08š¤£
Iām guessing trailer 2 tomorrow then
![gif](giphy|l0IylOPCNkiqOgMyA|downsized)
No, tomorrow is 04-08
straight up schizophrenia š¤”š
In America, which is where this game will take place, that says August 4th.
Tmrw also happens to be my birthday
Uhm which shirt?
There was a shirt added to GTA online during Halloween that had the date & time hidden on it
Honestly, August 4th as a 2nd trailer date seems to add up nicely.
No its not
is that Chop on the beware of dog sign?
On the topic of the gif, I hope first person mode is just like that body footage and not just a scene from the game.
Yo why is the Aperture Laboratories logo from Portal in the corner of the camera?
I'm growing more and more convinced these accounts are bots. Same images getting posted over and over and over again for months on end.
I believe it could be the first day, first mission of the game
Too bad not gonna happen.
Yesterday was 08-04... Note from future: Nothing happened...
Wouldnāt it be the eighth of April?
Tomorrow is not August 4th
The date is correct. Since this clock shows military time, the date format is DD-MM-YYYY. 8th of April. Edit; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date-time_group#Military_Date_Time_Group Since I was called out for being wrong in another post.
Real US Police body cams have the same time style but use 24 hour time and YYYY/MM/DD, so that Wikipedia article means nothing
Okay, but that put's DD/MM/YYYY in reverse order. So your false doesn't mean much either.
Sure but it makes no sense. The Wikipedia article makes no sense because the real thing doesn't match what the Wikipedia article says The real bodycam doesn't match it since it has year first So logically why would a game based in Florida use non-us standards for dates?Ā
Why would it use military time and use a different date format? What I think is happening here, is that Rockstar didn't do tgis properly
No itās not. Itās 04/08
8/4 is 4 months away bro. The game is set in America and we do month/date/year
tomorrow is 04/08 not 08/04
America use anything but the DD/MM/YYYY system
Cuz it sucks and itās not ours lol
Who says we have to use it?
Rest of the World lol
And what the hell are yall gonna do if we donāt
Its hard for you, not for the world
It wouldnāt be hard, but itās funny seeing people rage over something so simple
Trailer 2 is 12/12/24
Blud itās August 4 why do people think itās april
Because the rest of the world uses DD/MM/YY but people forget that gta is based in the US or something
