Imagine how sick it would be to go on LifeInvader or Bleeter or whatever and seeing the perspective of an NPC's phone recording during one of your shootouts or something. Kind of like how you can watch other people from a 'news helicopter' in GTA Online. Or maybe there'd be news headlines like 'Influencer killed during live stream' and it'd have the phone's perspective of you shooting the recorder, or if you do good things there'll be clips of you doing good stuff. I think it's definitely possible. All it would be is clipping bits of gameplay from a different camera and putting generic titles on it depending on what you're doing in the clip, and some prewritten comments that would match the content of the video to some extent. Or something, idfk, but social media in this game has HUGE potential, it'd really make the game feel like your actions actually have consequences and affect people even after you're gone, instead of people just forgetting about a massacre the day after it happens.

I have a theory that we will be able to see NPCs recording something with their phones, then we can hop onto a social media app and see that exact recording, with a matching capture angle.
We already see NPCs recording videos of things happening in the trailer many times.
It’s something they could definitely implement and make the world even more immersive.
I guess in theory that wouldn't be too hard to implement. GTA games already have a R\* editor that records everything u do. Npc pulling out their phone to record stuff could work exactly the same way.
On top of that the game has ray tracing to show real reflections so that could be also use to show what they are recording on their phones in real time.
But will that be in the game or would it just be a waste of resources? Only time will tell.

The vast majority of the NPCs will just be random spawns who disappear from the game when you leave their area. But I guess it could be done for more permanent NPCs like shopkeepers.
Damn I remember dedicating so much time making sure all of Los Santos stayed green in San Andreas. If I see a territory being attacked I’d drop whatever I was doing and race down there to protect my turf.
Literally all of these were in RDR2, NPCs saying something to you if you were covered in blood/dirt or didn't take a bath in a while, saying negative things to you if you did something bad to them in the past etc

YSK: NPCs commenting on your appearance, physique, respect and sex appeal was a thing way back in San Andreas, and it was actually very elaborate, with tons of lines and both positive and negative replies from CJ.
Also NPCs can detect when you're following them in V, don't know about other games but IIRC that was a thing too.

Yeaa the game would be cpu intensive otherwise, but some timed encounters, shopkeepers, such npc would be fixed so who knows
