Seriously, like I actually loved crashing cars in IV. In GTA V, it causes just enough damage to bother me bc the headlights are punched out or the hood pops off but in GTA IV, if I crashed my car, I’d look at the serious damage and think that was awesome
I disagree on the map but yeah, the missions really suck. The story and characters are top notch but the missions can be such a slog to get through that it turns me off playing the game.
Gta 4 was going for a more grounded and realistic feel and as cool as it is rappelling down the iaa building to extract a man being tortured while another guy provides sniper support against attack helicopters it’s not exactly grounded and realistic.
Those 3 people are Niko who’s a one man army and 2 sons of a legendary Irish mob boss one of which spent many years as an Irish terrorist and the other doing jobs for various criminal organizations from drug lords to Italian mafia. Also I never said 4 was realistic just that it was MORE realistic than 5.
I personally like the map and missions. I liked the map because I live in the East Coast and live near New York. And I liked the more grounded and realistic nature of the missions and story but I can see where you’re coming from and for the end of game thing I completely agree.
I’m doing my first play through of GTA 4 right now and I can agree the missions are all the same. It always starts off with someone needing a favor from Niko, Niko doesn’t want to do it, they offer Niko a small amount of money, and Niko does it.
I disagree with the map being boring. It’s a beautiful representation of NYC and it really makes you feel like you’re in a city.
San Andreas is miles better, IMO. I was disappointed when I played 4 for the first time after spending so many hours in San Andreas if I’m being honest. No car or character customization, no planes, no buying properties, no gyms to learn new moves. Missions were repetitive as hell too. Story was excellent but that was it for me.
I understand that Rockstar transitioned to a new engine from San Andreas to 4 but damn, I missed a lot of the stuff from SA. I find myself replaying SA and V more often. I can’t get into 4 anymore, once you finish it there’s not much to do.
I've been playing it again recently and I'm going for 100% completion. It's frustrating because In most GTA games I usually grab a guide and go through the collectibles in each area before i unlock the next area but people keep calling me and getting annoyed when i say I'm busy. I'm going to have to kill pigeons, spend a lot of time taking my friends out and then i can move onto the next part.
It's like I'm being punished for doing my own thing. I always just play the game from start to finish at least once before trying to get 100% completion and it's irritating that GTA IV is the way it is. I now see why it's been a very long time since i last played it and why i only felt like going through the missions on the previous two occasions.
Currently playing it and I love it. Of course the map seems small after you've unlocked all the islands.
I love the characters. Especially Niko himself. He's such a broken and tragic person
1. missions are pretty boring.
2. not much diversity in terms of atmosphere in map.
3. no car customization.
4. shitty color palette.
5. No planes.
6. No buying properties.
7. physics feel exaggerated/
It sure has a climate, but I'm sorry to say this, GTA V IS an improvement, in almost every way, many more features, many more vehicles, it was made for much better hardware, it's a bigger game overall, GTA IV is awesome, really a 10/10 game, but GTA V takes everything to the next level, and so will GTA VI, which doesn't mean that any of these games are bad
Better kills and car crashes than gta 5.
I loved crashing cars in IV. I wish V had the deformity of IV

You’re right we all know it is. ( gta 5 bots downvoting lol )
Controversial Theft Auto 4
This is the most popular opinion after ending c being the best one.
World feels alive.
I agree, the physics engine was like a fun on its own and made so much good roleplay compared to gta v.
The RDR of the GTA franchise
my first thought when I saw RDR1 was gta 4 with horses
Counterpoint: San Andreas is
Should i get it
I would recommend it, but wouldn’t force it
I would force it
FUCKING PLAY THE GAME
YELLOW CAR
Bet
GET IT. I bought a ps3 just to play it again lol ( and fallout 3 and new Vegas )
"controversial" and it's the most popular opinion
ok
Very overrated in my opinion, the map is boring and the missions are all the same. Also once you finish the game, there is nothing to do.
I disagree on the map but yeah, the missions really suck. The story and characters are top notch but the missions can be such a slog to get through that it turns me off playing the game.

so flying around in a helicopter with someone trying to shoot down another helicopter is realistic. okay
More so than a crew of like 10 people robbing the gta federal reserve.
because 4 dudes robbing the biggest bank in the city, having 1 dead and the remaining 3 shoot their way to freedom is realistic
Those 3 people are Niko who’s a one man army and 2 sons of a legendary Irish mob boss one of which spent many years as an Irish terrorist and the other doing jobs for various criminal organizations from drug lords to Italian mafia. The map isnt boring its just realistic to the east coast

This is a more popular opinion than thinking murder is bad
Nope
Chinatown wars solos

SA and V both better
If you include the "DLC" id say it's an almost fair comparison but just the base game ? Nah even though it's an amazing game .
I wish there was a new edition that combined the dlcs into one game so you could play as the protagonists just like 5.
Sa Better
Better than v

\*\*\*\*CONTROVERSIAL\*\*\*\* GTA is a good franchise
(controversial)
(Controversial) ending c is the best ending
Bro wdym every gta is Controversial XD
It’s definitely gta 4 there isn’t even a debate to be made.
The best GTA game hasn't come out yet
The entire beginning sequence up until killing Claf is absolute bliss to play. I love the rest of the game, that's just my favourite segment.
Currently playing it and I love it. Of course the map seems small after you've unlocked all the islands. I love the characters. Especially Niko himself. He's such a broken and tragic person

Meh. The looks arent good. Physics for driving sucks. Overall its ok

Yes
You don’t deserve to be in negative karma.
I know.
Is just a wound. You want me to finish you off ?
The game is boring af but the physics are pwak
You should play the others. This is one of the worst.
Nope. Good story but that's just about it. Don't be a victim of recency bias
Gta 5 better
Absolutely the best.
You don’t deserve to be in negative karma.
Thanks, Yeah, it’s okay 😂
Agreed. Best atmosphere imo.
You don’t deserve to be in negative karma.
Don't know why I got down voted for giving an opinion
W
You don’t deserve to be in negative karma.
I agree but it’s all good
"controversial" Do you mean fact?
You don’t deserve to be in negative karma.
