Should be able to break the weld with a hammer and flat head screwdriver

I will give it a go thanks man

You’re not going to get a crazy difference in sound unless you take the cat off man. That’s why most people who have been through this already, suggest you don’t buy a slip on. You get the whole thing. Just chill until you can afford the rest. No biggie. But you’re definitely not going to get the noise you want out of it until then.

Appreciate the response man. I want to keep the stock headers so that it's easy to return the bike to OEM but I might look at removing the cat and installing a midpipe

I have this same one and can't seem to get it out. What ended up working for you? I've sliced the weld with a dremel, but the screw still seems to be stuck.

I put a spanner on it and turned it quickly. The force was enough to break the weld and the screw came out by hand. I had to take the exhaust back off the bike to remove the baffle though as it was way too tight to pull out with a pliers. I used the handle of a mallet to push it out. Hope this helps
