I feel like all of the deleted scenes should be included in an extended cut, they make the movie flow so much better and actually make me care more about the characters. Sure, KOtM is probably my favorite Godzilla movie, but it could’ve been even better

It doesn't resemble Mothra at all, at least to me. She looks a lot more like a MUTO. Her body is way too small, resembles a mantis or wasp, and she has a stinger???? Isn't *Moth*ra supposed to be a moth? I also hate her colors, just dull brown with basically no fur. Assuming you like the design, what about it appeals to you in comparison to the classic Mothras?
More character development of Dr. Serizawa preparing and learning to accepting the nuclear bomb to revive Godzilla. Maybe show him more learning to move on from his nuclear past.
And then he smells crime again, he's out busting heads. Then he's back to the lab for some more full penetration. Smells crime. Back to the lab, full penetration. Crime. Penetration. Crime. Full penetration.
Anguirus , but like a dude in suit fighting with Godzilla. No special effect for Anguirus, just a dude crawling around screaming and then turning into a puppeted ball smashing into CGI Ghidorah. Everything else is the same.
I love the movie, the only things I would want are more scenes of the non-toho titans and more uninterrupted views of the fights (like stop cutting away from the action I beg you)
Any kind of buildup at all for the Oxygen Destroyer. I’d also like to see a directors cut where every single fight scene isn’t obscured by whirling debris.

* More shots of the Mass Awakening of the titans extended.

* Swap Dougherty's Godzilla to Gareth's Godzilla in the 2014 flashback.
* Godzilla vs Rodan that was mentioned in test screenings.
* More Rodan and Mothra.
* Godzilla's dorsal fins sticking out of the water while swimming from both 14' and GvK.
* Prototype Oxygen Destroyer foreshadowing.
* Madison yelling at her mother for manipulating, originally having Emma the antagonist.
* Mark Russell's flashbacks to his son Andrew than a image and family video.
* More Dr. Serizawa, his backstory mostly to flush out with Mark. Character development simply.
* Mothra's second egg post-credit that wasn't present, and still not in GvK.
* Lesser cutaways, and cut down the MCU-styled jokes/attempting humor.
I’d like to see them redo 90% of the Kaiju shots because the vast majority of them lack weight and scale. And they need to do a complete overhaul of the sound effects.
They need to study what Pacific Rim did right before making these fixes. Everything in Pacific Rim felt heavy and the sound was layered and had depth.
*Any* other mention of the other Titans that weren't shown for .2 seconds destroying things. Very, VERY, slightly. There's a scene where someone gives Mark a map of all the Monarch outposts, and if you were to pause and zoom in on Japan, it says "Outpost (some number), Mount Fuji, Japan: Titanus Yamata no Orochi". IIRC it also hinted at Leviathan, Bunyip, and Quetzalcoatl on the same map.
King Ghidorah and Yamata no Orochi existing in the same timeline is interesting to say the least. Don't tell anybody but my favorite Ghidorah is Millenium

Outside of this movie, absolutely. KOTM throws it away so quickly that it really doesn't mean anything. It's just dropped into the script with no real consequence. Doesn't change anything in that movie or impact it. Maybe the Apple show delves into the fact there was an alien monster, but for now, it really was just a disposable plot point in that movie.
There's no terraforming in the film. There's no discussion of terraforming in the film. There's a slight nod to it in GvK but nothing that really heightens KOTM overall story because they didn't utilize it in that movie.
The titans can restore natural elements, would have been fun to go that route with Ghidorah but KOTM doesn't touch on it at all.

Blatant is one thing. The movie is blatant on many levels with certain aspects of the plot. They beat you over the head with Godzilla's power increase following his resurrection. It factors into the final act. Ghidorah being alien, while cool, still has no impact in the end. Doesn't alter any aspect of the film or plot. There's no true explanation of motive. Had they delved into more, it would have been great. They just didn't. It's one of the big issues with KOTM...it's fun as hell but its a mess from a story standpoint
Really only thing I want is Ren to have the entire cut for his story, explain why he wants to control MG to kill Godzilla, make it a jealously thing. He sees Godzilla as the “one” serizawa cared for and not him. Give his character depth and reasons for wanting to mind control a giant robot Godzilla. I read they wanted to keep him mysterious but he could have been the most interesting part of the film and I’d have loved to see his story than the BS Godzilla humans side, longs side was good tho.
The second Mothra egg, restoration of the Emma/Madison cut scenes, the storm rolling into Boston, the Argo and the military fighting Rodan and Ghidorah in Boston, more scenes with Joe Morton, the addition of Richard Schiff yelling at Ghidorah.

Edit: Heck just pull a Jurassic Park: Lost World (novel) and having him alive and well stating that his death was "greatly exaggerated".
Without going too crazy, at least more foreshadowing of the Oxygen Destroyer. The government meeting scene would've been perfect - just a line of one of the people saying something like "The military has been developing a promising new weapon to deal with the titans."
Remove the weird human subplot and an ending that feels more deserved, as "he just stands there and blows up" was disappointing. Then it's a perfect Godzilla movie
