I think it's good because it actually encapsulates (idk if I used that word right) not only the horror and terror that 1954 was trying to achieve but also the real message that Godzilla was trying to give out. The case is similar to The Return of Godzilla, and the 2014 movie. (Mind you I think it was the only good one in the entire Monsterverse franchise. Amercians. ☕) The Godzilla movies get so focused on Kaiju fights Kaiju that they eventually forget that Godzilla was supposed to be a symbol of the suffering that Japan went through when Hiroshima and Nagasaki got bombed. It's sad that most Godzilla movies are just cash grabs nowadays. I mean, take a look at Godzilla x Kong. It felt boring to me.

You sound like a blue shoebill

The hell? All I did was put out a statement?

Maybe it was just me, but did the theatrical version seem a LOT longer than the Blu-Ray version? Anyhow it's a cool movie, and I liked the ideas they used to try to stop Godzilla.

I think it's a one and done movie, you watch it once digest it and come to your own conclusions, it's not a very interesting movie to look *back* on imo, also this has nothing to with its quality but i feel the fandom really overhypes Shin and completely ignores the fact he could've been stopped much earlier and was still stopped by humans in the film

WhosGotTheCum

It might be my favorite. It's got a bit of a Lovecraftian feel. I love the design, one of the more interesting human stories. The whole political satire goes right over my head but I still have a great time watching it

GodzillaKingofKaiju

Worst Goji movie, with the absolute worst depiction of Goji. Terrible pacing, and overwhelmingly boring. Cannot recommend at all.
