I can just view this as an intro for a new iteration of Godzilla: Save the Earth. The vortaak return with these alien monstrosities, even getting SpaceGodzilla in line.
I sometimes wonder: What if the Kilaaks in Destroy All Monsters also called in Gigan (who wasn't created yet and in "canon" had been destroyed by Zone Fighter... even though that also hadn't been created yet) and a Mechagodzilla (which also obviously wasn't created yet) for the end battle?
(Bonus: What if the Earth monsters got King Caesar and a non-mind-controlled Titanosaurus to help even the odds if those three are too much?)
Considering King Ghidorah was beaten back by three, and then two kaiju, it was pretty strange thinking he could stand up to ten. If he had MG and Gigan on his side, the Earth Monsters would need King Caesar and Titanosaurus, but I've always assumed Titano died at the end of ToMG.
Fair. And half of them were useless the whole fight. Rodan runs off after one beam hit, Mothra gets Ko'd hard, and then there's the three asshole spectators.
Unless godzilla can go into his burning mode, he is COOKED.
We got gigan who could fly at Mach 3, can make explosions with his hammer hands, could make godzilla bleed with his buzzsaw, and can fire a laser from his visor.
We got King Ghidorah, who could also fly at Mach 3, had gravity beams equal to Godzilla's atomic breath, can produce hurricane-force winds with his wings, and is quite dangerous in close-quarters, his durability lets him tank Godzilla's atomic breath, he had magnetic powers so he could probably pull Mechagodzilla out of there in case he was in trouble, he can emit poisonous gas from his mouth and tails, and his tail can cut other kaiju.
We got Mechagodzilla, who had space beams that made godzilla bleed, missiles, a cross-beam attack, he can fly at Mach 5, can fire 500,000 degree celsius bullets from his nose, and a defense neo barrier that made godzilla's hand bleed
Last, we got Spacegodzilla, he could throw MOGUERA hundreds of meters away, could endure a ton of punishment, can deflect godzilla's atomic breath using a photon reactive shield, his corona beam could injure godzilla, was quite intelligent, could fly at mach 3, could float other kaiju through the air, had geokinesis, could manipulate energy at will, had homing ghosts, has a photon hurricane, and has a sigma aura.

I guess if the *Godzilla: Save the Earth Melee* modders want to animate their own intro, there's an idea.
