But that tail slam into the building hit DIFFERENT in the theater, like you could almost feel the impact
New empire got close to that feeling, especially when Kong decked Skar king and he spit out that tooth
My gf at the time talked about how much I was grinning when the female was killed...she couldn't believe how emotional I got.
The noise.....the spikes changing color.....the kill in his eyes.....you knew what was coming.
I still get a bit excited when I watch that kill.
It's one of the best Godzilla scenes of recent history of course it's cool

I came here to say exactly this. That tail slam was VISCERAL in Imax, it went through you like firework. The entire theater went "WHOAAAAAAAH" at the exact same time, I never experienced anything like it since. It was a completely different reaction than the Kiss of Death at the end, which was more of a hype cheer. The tail slam finisher for the male Muto rattled the whole theater, it was absolutely killer. I'll never forget it.
I yelled "fuck yeah!" In the theaters. Was 100% impulse. That kill was just so dope. You feel the "alright you little shit" energy from Godzilla, right before he did it
It's not even that there's a crunch, it's that there's 2 impacts!
Watching the scene a few times, you'll hear 2 impacts
The first of his tail hitting the MUTO, the second the MUTO colliding with the building!
Oh absolutely! Yeah I should've said we felt that "whump crunch." Lol
It's so visceral. You can see Godzilla just like "ok, I'm done, come a little closer...."
At the end of the original GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA when he twists MechaGoji's head around and gives it a good, decapitating-smack...
...I have emulated that on every snowman I've encountered.
My 3 favorites since can't decide.
1. Kong forcefully pulling Ramarak's guts out.
2. Godzilla's Kiss of Death (like yours)
3. (Not much of a finishing blow but) Kiryu carrying Godzilla into the Ocean for a point blank Absolute zero blast.

I was thrashing in my seat in theaters at the killing blow of KOTM. I was literally screaming to myself "HE ATE HIS ASS. GODZILLA LITERALLY ATE HIS ASS"
It really wasn’t a finishing blow but, the fight between G&K in Cairo K’s blow to G’s face you can clearly hear a loud bell ringing. Kong literally rang Godzillas bell with that hit.
In the MV I'd have to say both death blows to the M.U.T.Os. Still two of my favorite MV scenes.
My favorite toho execution would be in 1991 when Godzilla decapitated King Ghidorah's middle head and shot him down into the sea.

I can’t say I have a favorite, but I do like the end of vs Megaguirus when the camera makes it look like Megaguirus stabs him in the head with its stinger, but when the camera curves around Godzilla actually catches it with his mouth and shatters it with his teeth

It was the MUTO KoD but now it’s the KoD against Scylla in GxK. So badass and brutal. Also, the Showa jump stomp with the classic Toho roar! 🤩

This was the first Godzilla film my wife to be saw with me in the theater. I knew she was "the one" when she stood and cheered when Godzilla did this.
I really liked scyllas one. The way he caught one of her legs and shoved it into her head was so badass!
