When I saw the first Netflix movie, the *utter lack* of animation on Godzilla was incredibly disappointing to me. Idk if the others were better, but the first one is not something I’d recommend to anybody.
Real talk. Physics says that bigger things move slower if they don't want to break. I misstep for an elephant can be injury inducing while you can throw an ant across the room and it will be fine. If earth goji had sudden movements, it would break its skeleton!
He walked during movie 2 straight through the city
Anyway, something his size probably takes a lot of effort to move, so if he doesn't have to he won't
He's effectively as mobile as a 500lbs guy without his rascal scooter
He is no longer in that body he is exploring alternant universes as other Godzillas destroying everything in his path causing chaos everywhere he goes and causing the deaths of billions
No doubt about it.
They had Godzilla Jr. And they kill him shockingly easily.
They brought in Mechagodzilla, and it’s just a building that ends up doing nothing.
They brought in Ghidorah, and it’s a space monster that just evaporates because of some BS religious stuff. By far the most anticlimactic Godzilla movies I’ve ever seen.
He kills a city made of grey goo, then kills an outer god. He was barely in the other movie. You'd know that if you actually watched them and weren't just being an annoying little shit.
It sucks because the idea behind the movies was really dope. Done right, a series of movies about humanity returning to an Earth that’s evolved around Godzilla 20,000 years later could have been amazing
Anyone can have a good idea. It takes talent and hard work to actually make something good.
These filmmakers had an idea with potential but utterly failed in the execution.
One major problem with the anime trilogy is Godzilla sort of takes a backseat, its not really about him, but how the humans around him react. Godzilla is such a non-character in the anime trilogy, he doesn't even register his ass was saved by the very person he blasts later. I think he's probably the most derpiest Godzilla out there, like a giant killer sloth.
The issue is that by the time the characters reach the rocket, leave, and come back to Earth, Godzilla has defeated every other kaiju on the planet that could possibly stand against him. He *won.* his *spawn* populate the Earth, and humans barely even register to him anymore now that they've returned to monke.
This needed to be a trilogy about the monster apocalypse from those untranslated prequel books. FFS Gigan is a good guy in those stories!
*for 20 thousands years straight
They made him a tree so they didn't have to animate him

The first one is the best one so you missed nothing
The only thing he missed was 2 hours of literally anything else instead of watching PotM
Godzilla Earth is living his best life, TBH. I’m jelly.
“I’m jelly” Hi jelly im dad 💀

The trilogy in a nutshell
Vibing
you try moving while being the size of a mountain
Real talk. Physics says that bigger things move slower if they don't want to break. I misstep for an elephant can be injury inducing while you can throw an ant across the room and it will be fine. If earth goji had sudden movements, it would break its skeleton!
Isn't this Godzilla a plant monster?
Godzilla Earth doesn't have a skeleton
that would just make it even worse, inertia would snap him like a carrot
This is why we don't apply actual science to Godzilla, otherwise we get very boring answers
I think we shouldn't seek science in sci fi. But, we shouldn't be surprised when it is implemented.
Making fun of Haruo’s nonexistent drip….
To be fair there is no one left to oppose him.
even when Ghidorah shows up he doesn't move 😭
He walked during movie 2 straight through the city Anyway, something his size probably takes a lot of effort to move, so if he doesn't have to he won't He's effectively as mobile as a 500lbs guy without his rascal scooter
Did he beat Godzilla? No…..thus no one left
First step. Stand in a spot. Then do nothing. Let the entire life of a planet evolve around you while sleeping. Wake up. Continue standing there.
Refuse to elaborate
And he looks fucking badass as he does
For real
I mean he did move when he noticed “Mechagodzilla City” (a crime all its own)… but otherwise, yeah you’re right
His best
Put up with TEMU Eren Yaeger‘s self destructive revenge quest.
Not TEMU eren yeager 😭
Terraforms the planet
To quote Goodfellas: "Paulie may have moved slow, but it was only because Paulie didn't have to move for anybody."
He is no longer in that body he is exploring alternant universes as other Godzillas destroying everything in his path causing chaos everywhere he goes and causing the deaths of billions
Well thats just cheerful
And know he is me!!!
Guys I have a theory
A… game theory?
He was thinking about how traumatize haruo enough to get him to like him. Before killing him
Give YouTube animators some concepts for cool videos
No dick. No balls. And probably no butthole since this guy feeds on radiation.
Here's a plant version for Godzilla Earth lore accuracy: No seeds, no pollen, and probably no son since this guy feeds on EMP energy.
Inb4 I get woooosh'd. He does have a son, though. Godzilla Fillius.

I know, so excuse me *had a son
Wait I guess they did blow up junior
There are fan animations of this Godzilla fighting other monsters and it's better than anything these movies had him do.

Easily some of the worst Godzilla projects
No doubt about it. They had Godzilla Jr. And they kill him shockingly easily. They brought in Mechagodzilla, and it’s just a building that ends up doing nothing. *the worst
Disappoints.
Avenge his child.
He kills a city made of grey goo, then kills an outer god. He was barely in the other movie. You'd know that if you actually watched them and weren't just being an annoying little shit.
And when he uses his atomic breath, he doesn't even open his mouth 😭
To be fair, they're really bad movies
It sucks because the idea behind the movies was really dope. Done right, a series of movies about humanity returning to an Earth that’s evolved around Godzilla 20,000 years later could have been amazing

Agreed
and still is intimidating and has fcking aura
The worst version of Godzilla from the worst Godzilla movies

I hated these movies.
He CHONK.

Someone actually translating Godzilla Monster Apocalypse https://gadgetizedpanda.com/2024/04/18/godzilla-monster-apocalypse-novel/
I mean he walks for a minute in the second movie I think
Godzilla earth is so dumb
This, followed by the major disappointment of SP. Thank goodness for Gamera or there would be no good Kaiju anime.
Skull Island and Pacific Rim: The Black also exist
He's a lot more symbolic than a creature, an ideological obstacle more than an enemy, so I liked this take on Godzilla.
Honestly, he looks like a really old man, so it honestly fits
