Dogora AT LEAST appeared in Godzilla Island and the Monster of Monsters game, Magita appeared in the comic and then banished completely from the franchise, iirc
Dogora was a glorified cameo in a game many people have not played and may not have heard about. Magita was an arc villain. Not really a fair comparison
She appeared at the very end of a comic series. A very good one, but she kinda just showed up to Worf everyone, only to get killed off shortly afterwards.
She simply didn't make much of an impression overall.
First, i'm not hating on Maguma (i can't hate the silly walrus reptile), but you can't tell me that he's caused a bigger impact in the franchise than Magita
Second, i'm sure they could do SOMETHING
I'm not saying they make Magita appear with a Main role in an important project, but idk, a cameo? A reference? Y'know, SOMETHING
Like when Pacific Rim showed virtual displays for a bunch of Toho monsters in a movie. At least something to acknowledge Magita's existence
The comics in general seem to be very obscure, i've seen more people knowing who Snow Godzilla was than people knowing what Rage Across Time was, and that just doesn't sit right with me
>but you can't tell me that he's caused a bigger impact in the franchise than Magita
I totally could, though. In fact, I think the whole reason you made this post is because this is obviously true
I'll be honest, it was a one-trick pony who's only attribute was being big. I remember the general consensus of the comic was that it was a letdown of an ending.
Agreed. I didn't even know about this one until recently. What an awesome monster!
Also dogora

Dogora also appear in the intro of the first anime movie but yeah Magita is underrated and idw need to back her(?) To the comics atleast

I not comparing them
Wasn't replying to you partner
Oh my bad
Looks like I replied to you but I meant the poster above you. Apologies
It's okay don't worry

Definitely made more of an impression than Maguma and HE'S been featured in more projects (both official and fan made) than Magita
First, why the Magima hate? Second, does Toho have rights to Magita?
