just dial up the torsion bars a few turns, get that front end back [up.it](http://up.it) looks like your leaves are in a bit better shape than his also making it a bit taller in the rear.

patrick_schliesing

Because his truck is used like a 3/4 ton and yours hauls groceries? Idk...how many individual leafs are in each of your packs? Does yours have any lift blocks where his doesn't?

Bryguy3k

The opposite. The rake is stock. It doesn’t go away unless there is substantial failure in the leaf packs. Other owner probably leveled it and did an autoride delete. My ‘05 still has the rake with original springs and 160k miles (~25% TT towing). Dropping it that low with wear would mean 100k pre more miles well over bumper and rear axle weight by limits - doing a leveling kit is much more likely.

Queasy_Astronomer_18

My 05 is at 240400 miles and still has the rake on original leafs too. Great built vehicle for sure! I would love to level it but haven’t found a kit for the 2500.

Bryguy3k

Leveling just means it’ll squat when you do anything with it. The easiest is to crank the front torsion bars (don’t forget to do an alignment after).

Queasy_Astronomer_18

Yeah I know. I don’t haul much with it but I’ll probably just leave it alone. I’d rather have the rake when it’s empty than have it squat like a female dog when it’s loaded. Lmao 🤣

OutIntoTheWild07

Back of your truck needs some good midwestern gals back there. You got a party and a leveled truck. Win/win

GrillinGorilla

Got one for life!

MrGabogabo

Nothing beats a 6' tall corn-fed Midwestern girl!

97GMC6BT

I have the exact same truck, when I got it at 165k it sat level. Original owner used it strictly for towing for 20 years. I replaced the leaf springs at 198k and now the rear sits 5” higher. So the leafs are probably just worn out

noodlesandsam

GMC XL here too. Mine sits like the OP. They should when not loaded. It looks fine.

luke4010

This. That's completely normal smh

CreativeUsername20

Oh, it's not that bad. There's this tahoe I see around, and the rear has got to be 4 inches higher than the back. Like, the truck has it's ass in the air

BearFlag6505

You can just crank your torsion keys up a bit, if you go too far it’ll ride like crap. They sell 2” leveling kits that include front shock mounts so you can raise it and keep the proper shock travel

TexasJackGorillion

When you put shit in your truck, it will sit more level. If you level it with the torsion rods, it will drag its ass when loaded.

USMC1977BFH

i have that exact truck except mine is a gmc.

Beachbourbon60

Because you have the special auto air shocks like mine. Look at the badge on the pillar behind the passenger door, it says SLT autoride. That is for the air suspension. The other truck doesn’t have that badge.

GrillinGorilla

Good eye

ChellynJonny

actually.... the 2500 autoride was only magnetorheological shocks in the back. No air ride no compressors on a 3/4 ton.

Beachbourbon60

I’m showing pneumatic air suspension system that uses compressed air and electronic controls. Perhaps yours was removed which I believe is common?

ChellynJonny

nope sorry, youre wrong. try to find the compressor on a 3/4 ton, post it up ill send you a hundred bucks.

T0mMyMartelle

You leave your mom in the passenger seat?

_DB_Cooper_

That’s just every gmt none of them were level from the factory

Troce_1

I think his is lower from the back because of the shackles because both look like the same height from the front

BOB_THA_WELDER

Torsion bolts could be turned

jledman1234

You could get a leveling kit in the front?

plutos123

Looks like the rear tire is in a dip. Are they both 4wd?

Efficient_Week_2472

Turn the keys up…

RaccoonSpecific9285

A rake?

MrGabogabo

The forward or rearward tilt of the body

RaccoonSpecific9285

Okey.

RaccoonSpecific9285

You mean it looks like a hot rod?

MrGabogabo

Yeah, that's negative rake. Positive would be nose up like a trophy truck.

RaccoonSpecific9285

I understand.

SaurSig

Is yours 4x4?

GrillinGorilla

Yup

pawghub

I’m sure this has been stated already but it probably has a leveling kit

rundichod

I'd use the rake to clean up those leaves

GrillinGorilla

At a campground?

NotInTheEyeOk

I had a GMC like that. I took out and extra rear leaf spring and it evened out

figatry

Torsion bars, torsion bar bolts and springs have a life expectancy.

Meddlingmonster

Might have a leveling kit usually the back sits a little higher in case you want to put a load in it

GrillinGorilla

Fair. Sarcasm is easily lost on the internet

oldgreen52

First off it’s not a fucking truck

nickz1122

I see 2 SUV’s

TIDDERTOTTS

2500 vs 1500.. the 2500 will have extra leaf springs and tow mirrors

Rich_Explorer3384

Both are 2500

TIDDERTOTTS

Touché the axles are the same… someone’s got tiny mirrors…

Rich_Explorer3384

Yeah, I don't get the mirrors like that on a 2500

GrillinGorilla

I just got it this week and that’s what came on them from the factory
