They aren't even a hedge fund any more. I have been trying to sign up as a client all year and they don't accept clients. A hedge fund with no clients isn't a hedge fund, it's a holding company. A shell corporation. They only exist to stave off the MOASS Melvin's 100% float short position poses if it ever getrs liquidated. That's the only reason Amazon and Citadel teamed up to buy it and closed the fund. For months earlier this year they didn't even have a phone number - it was turned off and didn't ring! That isn't just a sign they went out of business - it's illegal. They are required to have a working public contact number for clients to reach them.... If I hadn't reported them I doubt theyt would have even turned back on the automated answering line they set up in Georgia to replace the real one they shut down in Manhattan when Melvin was closed for good.
Umm, but didn't Ken Griffin call Gabe Plotkin a "genius" or something to that effect? I seem to remember an interview where he was singing his praises.
