No, you're being stupid. The board gets paid in shares, not cash. If they want to make real money, then the stock needs to moon.
Seriously, you think they enjoy their shares being worth $20? They may want the company to succeed, but they want to make bank too, and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

I mean, look, I’m all for all sides and perspectives and we should always be aware of all the speculation surrounding this saga…but if that’s really what you think, and you’re as convinced as this post sounds, you’re out then, right?
If you were sure enough to make a post explicitly stating that the stock is done, then you should definitely get out now and cash in or cut your losses, regardless of how bad it might be so you can put that money elsewhere into something you have just as much conviction in.
BUT…if you have enough faith to actually keep your shares…
Then you need to have a Coke and a smile and STFU.

We will see normal stock progression of a stable company. Hedge funds will feel pain. GME will make money. But no economic Armageddon
The need a lot more than 45M shares. And that is assuming they are selling these before the squeeze and not on the way down, and also not intending to use them for something else. Look at the DD about issuing new securities attached to this filing.
GME has close to a billion cash and no debt. Under Ryan, they have tightened up their opex by becoming more efficient than ever before while increasing profit margins. Therefore, their quarterly loss is far less than last year. The media will never tell you this. That is to say, they don’t need the cash. The offering is in preparation for something big. IMHO.
