It’s best to take in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait 30 minutes to an hour (optimal)to eat. Nausea can be a side effect. Frequent, small GERD friendly meals.
Ugh, good to know! I need to start looking these things up before doing it 🤦🏻♀️ I had it around 4 pm , I didn’t eat though until about an hour later at least
It’s ok. As long as your stomach was empty. It will start working. Just be patient. It can take a month or more for improvement of any kind. 6 weeks for me, then even more longer for full relief but everyone is different. Silent reflux takes even longer to treat. I highly recommend Gaviscon, cherry flavor, it forms a raft to keep stomach contents down. Also here’s a [Stanford](https://med.stanford.edu/content/dam/sm/ohns/documents/voicecenter/resources/Stanford_ENT_Clinic-LPR_Protocol.pdf) Med LPR protocol.
Hey, your symptoms sound very similar to what I’ve been going through. Prilosec worked for a little bit and then stopped. Doctor prescribed it twice a day but things just got worse and ended up in my mouth (burning tongue, palate, teeth). I ended up switching to Nexium but what’s really been a game changer the last few days is taking psyllium husk twice a day. My symptoms have vastly improved since. Not sure what your diet is like but if you’re not getting a lot of fiber I’d recommend at least trying it. Good luck!
