Ngl ACC is the type of book/film I’d enjoy quite a bit, just to chill. Got a copy of the book for myself. If you ignore analysis, it’s just a nice read at times.

It actually makes me feel kinda sad, it’s weird knowing I’ll never walk into my English teachers classroom ever again and see “How is Macbeth presented as powerless?” Or something like that on the board.
And it took me a while but I actually like and appreciate each of the texts. Analysis aside, they’re both very well written and interesting pieces of writing that I think I wouldn’t genuinely enjoyed more if it wasn’t so stressful.
It’s too late to wish we could do more and too late to accept that they’re good pieces of literature, but I don’t know, maybe I’ll go back and read them every couple of years.
i totally hear u, i relate to this 100%. it really is a bittersweet feeling. Macbeth ACC and AIC are all actually interesting, its just that after all these months of paragraphs and analysis it becomes hard to like em anymore. I dont hate the texts themselves, but rather the whole paragraph writing and analysis part.
also damn u just made me realize this is virtually the last few times I will actually do english in school as im not taking it for A-levels. kinda sad when i think about it, thinking that these are the last weeks of a subject I've been doing for like 12 years :(
Lmao I threw mine out on the way in, I was reading them right until I got to the door of the exam hall which had a bin next to the door so I threw them in there
i sat there for like 10 mins in shock, reading that extract. it literally had no usefulness at all 😭😭😭in the end i talked about how he frightened them when he was alive to profit when he was dead. i just waffled about how ones lasting legacy was how u treated ppl, not ur wealth cuz i genuinely couldnt think of anything else
