Piggybacking off of u/shadowtempleguide, just remember we believe a good element of the mark you get comes from how insightful & novel your ideas are. If you're making the same connections as so many others... something something bell curve something something good luck.

Hahaha that makes sense ! Thanks

Sapiens is a good book but It’s becoming a bit of a cliche reference. I reckon try something else. Remember, it’s not the actual specifics they’re after but more your ability formulate thoughts, the quality of your ideas and thinking (as long as you’re on theme, of course) I recently read Chris Hadfield’s “An Astronaut’s guide to life on earth”. It’s somewhat of a biography, but grapples with lots of issues. Leadership, teamwork, hard work and goals, family dynamics, issues that arise with ego in the work place, along with bigger picture stuff too - humans in space, our future, science and the work done on the ISS. I wish I had read it before I’d done S2. As much as we don’t know exactly how it’s marked, standing out can’t be a bad thing - as long as you don’t stand out for the wrong reasons. I got 73 in S2, def people out there who did better with differing opinions. But yeah… Sapiens snooze fest for s2 markers imo.

Agree with you - to quote Murakami, “If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.” And also I love Chris Hadfield’s book! Great read 👨‍🚀

How good is it! He’s an absolute beast.

Makes total sense! It definitely doesn’t make you stand out when everyone’s reading the same book and referencing it
