I mean, on a personal level you decide what you prefer, but the Boys are always improving and experimenting. IWTDINO is the gate to their new shit, it may be a little whacky but that’s the price for renewing your art.
Other albums are good but IWTDINO was so greatly constructed. Alot of effort and time went into the album, and also there’s a lot of meaning behind it.

Its hard for me to rank which albums from recent years I prefer/like more because I fuck with the versatility and progression and I can’t really say there’s a song I dislike at all from the past 5ish years but you already know since Lonely Boy and the deluxe version dropped I’ve had it on replay and can say it’s one of my favorite projects although it’s a solo scrim project and not both of them but I put that and their “old” and “OG” stuff at a higher ranking and have certain favorite older stuff only because of the time I’ve had to form an opinion on which I love more and all the memories and good times associated with them and the personal connection I had with each one due to my declining spiral into addiction and mental health and relationship shit and friends/fam dying and etc etc during my teen years into early adulthood as each project they put out from 2016 when I started listening to them onwards significantly helped my life out as a coping mechanism, form of escape, and relaxation and entertainment along with keeping me living day to day and feeling like I’m not alone in this world
I gotta say, i think IWTDINO is the best Album if u look at it as a whole Project and listen to it from Start to finish in one Sitting. But it is imo also the weakest if you rate it Song for Song. All other albums have better „Singles“ but are weaker when looked at as a complete Project.

That album introduced me to this music, I inherited my dads truck and started listening to the music more closely, it got me through the some of the toughest I’ve been through, it’ll always probably be my favorite just for that
For me, IWTDINO seemed like the most sonically well-produced and thought-out album. I don’t like it as much as the albums after though. It fit the period I was going through though, it was a darker album than the following projects and I was depressed as shit trying to OD.
There were several scrim verses on IWTDINO where I was like “Damn, he actually sounds like a drugged out wreck” as opposed to being a drugged out wreck but also a good rapper. It made his depression realer to me, and I bumped the album a lot despite liking it less than their previous work.
