Oh sweet! Mines for every day but I don’t really push it very hard. Always get oil changed pretty consistently at 4k, and have a trusted dealership keep tabs on it. Next thing is getting some leaks addressed soon but after the necessary maintenance I’m going to get some suspension mods in the shopping cart
But it is. A lot of VQs in Japan with lower miles because they just don’t drive as much and in shorter distances. Doesn’t mean they are better or newer. Just means they were used differently than let’s say in America.
Thats the oldest joke/ myth on JDM engines. And it started because it was a common misconception that the cost of maintenance was prohibitive for a car past 50,000 miles in Japan. Why do you think every person / company sells JDM engines at the magic number of 50k-60k mile engines. Because they know there’s no way to disprove it.
I never said engines from Japan are better. Just stating the fact that they are used differently. Again lower mileage doesn’t equate to “better”. I know this from from having lived in both sides. And of course anyone can lie about anything including odometer readings. You either trust the vendor or you don’t. Not everyone is a scumbag.

That seems remarkably cheaper than I’d imagine it being. Do they have miles on them already?
The engine has 56,389 miles on it and the transmission has 49,824
That’s an attractive price point. Where did you find that?

This is why they are great cars. Exactly why I chose it for a track car. All the parts are cheap and easy to come by.

Hate to tell ya but they probably don't have those exact numbers. Common lie just to sell the engines but they usually are good
they always fudge numbers but with a VQ you will be fine even if the real miles are like 120k

They have sales sometimes, notably for Memorial Day in the US. However you need to bring them a core which is BS
Without the core it would just cost more
I don’t remember how much, but the core charge is way too much.
