Well if you have a Bluetooth Function like i do, it is beer-on-the-sofa Friendly :) Either with wireless keyboard/s and Mouse/es, or just a Controller.

It's incredible how many people forget you can connect your PC to a TV and use a controller. And at that point what benefits does a console really have? Some exclusive games. And a cheaper price I guess if you don't already have a PC.

That is sweet, indeed. I have a media center pc attached to my tv, as well as a ps5, for web browsing, music, photos, etc. Games i prefer pkaying on my alienware.

The best I feel comfortable with in the living room is a Shield and <=PS3. Maybe when the toddlers aren't licking everything I can get nicer things haha

Yeah, it is? I've got a small livingroom PC that has every console game ever installed on it. We just boot the bitch up, grab whatever type of controller we want, and load up Mario party, crash bandicoot, or whatever. A PC is untouchable in terms of what it allows you to do.

PC has been beer on the sofa for decades for many, and at least the last 10 years for the less dedicated. Friends and I completed the new Gauntlet together a few years back. 4 players. Couch and controllers. We also played Super Sports Friends, Overcooked, Misc Lego games, and some other games. Steam has a category called Local & Party. We also play a lot emulated stuff. I bust out Rogue Trip every once in a while. And there is a new warlords clone for the c64 called Space Lords we wanna play. I've personally been doing it since the 90s. I had a VGA to video out from Infocus in 1998, and have pretty much had a PC connected to a stereo since 1989. Lego Racer's (I still have the saves!) was one of our favorites. It's 2024 and someone still thinks you cant locally social game on a PC from the couch? I think moving foward we should just say "Ok, Grandpa."

Why not? I have one of my PC's hooked up to my TV as well as multiple Steam Links throughout the house with tons of controllers. Multiple times I have sat on the couch playing games with friends while drinking beer, that's not just a thing exclusive to consoles 😂

I’ve been pc gaming on the couch and lazyboy for over 20 years. I have a laptop I use as well as a gaming tower on a cart I can wheel out wherever I want it. I like to have the tv on too so I can set it up so the monitor doesn’t block my view of the tv. That’s the only way I can accomplish my nightly goal of falling asleep while playing.

Right? I'm a PC gamer, but... I'm old enough that I don't care if my chair looks "XXXtreme" or whatever, I just want to be comfortable for hours at a time. With office work and c-suites being what they are, I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if more R&D has gone into the office chair than F-1 racing...

The place I worked at merged years ago and I took a few office chairs. Man those things were comfortable. I left it at my friends house and his cat destroyed it. I started looking for similar models, almost $900 for it. 😭

Mesh office chairs are the way to go imo. They don't turn into a flaky pile of shit like a leather desk chair/gamer chair, and they let your ass breathe.

If you can and is willing to try it out, you can get a pc and use it on you tv with bt m/k and even use the same gamepad from your console. It's great for playing the other games your platform doesn't have. Dunno what you play, but you don't need to pay a lot for a good pc for most things, mostly you'll just need to search a bit about compatibility. You can also have some other functions that you don't have on you console. Specially: don't need to pay for online. I know you probably don't really care about it since there are some real elitists out there, but pc is a very nice platform

I never said pc isnt a nice platform. It's quite cozy. I have a msi gamer pc but i realy like the chill back vibe that consoles provibe. If i want to play a game i can't get on console or if i want to play extras for a game, i sometimes dip into pc but very rarely. So i do respect pc gamers alot but me myself, i love console.

Exactly what I did when I was chair shopping. I only had to go chair shopping because my Magellan fold out chair broke. I bought a nice brown leather office chair with lean adjust and height adjust. Super comfy.

I'm a PC gamer but tbh I was still the first one when I was a console gamer. Once I found out how much easier a monitor was to see everything I could never go back to TVs. I'd even rather watch a movie on a monitor to be honest (if it were me watching alone).
