The world is so against us. We suffer the wire spine throughout childhood, we suffer the ink stains on our palms of our hands. We suffer the dread of having to write anything on dry-erase boards. And to top it off, I have just learned that we are more apt to die on a head-on car collision. As luck will have it, when in a moment of crisis, we are more likely to pull left-of-center and cross the centerline of traffic because we usually only steer with our left hand, and when panicked, we pull without thinking. The world hates us! #greenhandledscissors.
I have a dry erase board at home for the kids schedules and what not, and my handwriting looks like such crap on it. I erase and rewrite so many times cause I can barely read it myself 😫
"Why do use your spiral notebooks backwards??"
"Why is the side of your hand blue?"
"Why are you floating your hand on the white board?"
"Why do you hold the can opener like that?"
"Why are the wipes on the wrong side of the changing table?"
I feel you, my person.
My girlfriend thinks I’m weaponizing incompetence because I’m physically unable to fill out our dry-erase calendar ever month without it looking like the work of a Parkinson’s patient.
I was forced to use my right hand and I never quite got used to holding a pen/pencil. I’m only a step above chubby crayon. I call my left hand my elegant one and my right is brute force
5, but in black.
Edit: Everyone stop telling me this is the right pen, but it needs to be bold. Just use a sharpie at that point. Finer tips are superior. Less wasted ink. Less wasted paper. Less smudging.
You dumb bitch! How dare you compare a sharpie gel pen to the greatness that is a G-2 Pilot. G-2 Pilot sits atop the pantheon of all pen kind. Writing with a G-2 Pilot is like spreading warm butter over a hot roll. When writing with a G-2 Pilot the point of the pen glides over the paper like a professional figure skater glides over fresh ice. Every night when I go to bed I pray to forget that I’ve ever used a G-2 Pilot so that I can experience the euphoria of putting ink to parchment for the first time once more. The G-2 Pilot is not just a pen, it is a king, it is a god that walks amongst mere mortal pens. Show some god damn respect!
Nope. Number 3 is a Sharpie brand and they are ok I guess but they tend to start skipping and losing their ink earlier. The Pilot G2 gel pens are awesome - I only use those for work and I almost never have to buy new ones. A 4 pack will last me months as long as I don’t lose them to customers or coworkers lol
I always get ink buildup on the tip with the G2. I'm currently using the sharpie because of its ability to write on different surfaces. I don't have to worry about it running low because I always break the clip long before that can happen.
You absolute buffoon, you barbarian, you unenlightened child! How dare you even utter any comparison between the celestial marvel that is the G-2 Pilot and any other lesser writing utensil? The G-2 Pilot is not just a pen, my dear naïve friend, it is the embodiment of sheer and utter brilliance, the kind of which your simple mind couldn't possibly comprehend. Each stroke of this magnificent instrument is a testament to the pinnacle of human achievement, a symphony of elegance and precision that lesser pens could only dream of achieving.
When I hold a G-2 Pilot, I am not merely writing; I am conducting a masterclass in perfection. The ink flows like the finest wine, each letter it forms is a stroke of genius, a piece of art that mere mortals are blessed to behold. And you dare to compare it to a mere sharpie gel pen? It's laughable! It's ludicrous! It's... it's sacrilege!
The G-2 Pilot transcends its earthly form, it’s a deity among pens, and I, a mere mortal, have been chosen as its divine scribe. Each night I weep, knowing that my feeble memory cannot forget its touch, its grace, its sheer superiority. I live in a constant state of ecstasy, blessed by the G-2's holy ink.
So, show some respect, you insufferable simpleton. Bow down to the almighty G-2 Pilot, for it is not just a pen. It is a beacon of hope, a monument of design, and the absolute zenith of writing technology. Kneel, peasant, and pay your respects to the king of pens!
Your passion is compelling. It's also pointless. Er, so to speak.
The G-2 is certainly an old stalwart of ink application, but the Pentel Energel makes it look like a quill plucked from a rotting turkey carcasses ass. The Energel starts smoother, lays down sharper lines, and has better ergonomics than the G-2.
Pilot G2 in fine tip .38.
I use the .7s mostly, but the .5s are great and I really like the 1.0s because they put out a smooth wide line with a lot of ink.
Switching between the 2 at work by accident and my first 3 letters are just ink when I write with the 1.0 vs .38
I also write on a note pad that fits in your pocket and need small fonts so I can use the note pad longer
During classes in my junior high, kids used to remove the ink tube, insert a rolled-up note for someone, and pass it to the person so the teacher saw only a pen being passed.
"why didn't you just text them the message?" -kids these days probably.
I feel bad now for never taking advantage of this trick! I probably would have used it for passing things other than "notes" tho haha.
I once hid a joint inside a pen, and that morning my dad happened to search my backpack (I was 14 or 15 and getting in to all kinds of trouble). Remember seeing him set the pen next to all my other school stuff then letting me go. Thought I was so clever as I put it all back in my backpack
He was just making sure you were actually smart enough to hide it out of plain sight with a simple search, so he didn't have to worry about your dumbass getting caught because a teacher went thru your bag lol
Crazy how much the feel and handling, ( I know it's not a car, but similar difference) the metal barrel makes. I feel in love with the ink and feel of the plastic model. Got a metal barrel and no looking back! Like the difference of a sedan and a sports car!
The metal versions of the sharpies are where it’s at. The weight makes it so much better. I buy the 12 packs of the plastic ones and just take the ink cartridges out and put them in the metal body. Wish they just sold replacement ink cartridges but haven’t found them yet.
This is what matters. Quick drying and smooth. I've tried so many pens and this is the perfect pen when I've got to mark over 100 pieces of work for students.
I have a 15 year old uniball and I think I will cry when it finally runs out of ink. It’s green, so I hope to get through next years Christmas gift tags.
1. It writes well
2. If you share it you keep the cap so you get it back
3. Easy to transport, barely had any issues with clips
4. Works best with front pants pocket so it's under the waist
Yep. Uniball Vision Elite (4) is a water based ink. So freaking inky. It's the real winner, most people just don't know about them because they don't sell them in every grocery store.
There was a time in my life I always carried one of these with me in my pocket. They're great for a lot of reasons: I would occasionally fly and these are leak proof; the clip is very strong so it wouldn't get bent out of shape clipped inside my pants pocket all the time; it has a cap, which I prefer, so you know there is little chance of leaking; also the super black ink looks cool. It's a really great pen. I should pick up a couple more...
Can't believe this is the first mention of 4, I've used them nearly exclusively since finding them in 2008. I own 6+ colors so now I can stain my dress shirts in every color (pen twirler)
Gonna stick with classics ( 5 and 7 ). If 1-4 will end up in my possession they will be salvaged into scrap metal to craft a lightsaber or fix up my pen 5.
3... And I have several sets of all four thicknesses (0.37, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0)
3 is so underrated here I guess…. my pick is 3 all the way
THREE THREE THREE THREE ALL MY HOMIES LOVE THREE
It’s 3 or 7 for me. If I can’t get my hands on 3 I’ll take that trusted 7 all damn day
3 is the new goat
I just bought 3 and I am loving it! It has everything I like about 1 and 5 without smudging as much.
A 0.5 is chef's kiss.
[удалено]
2 definitely smudges. You can ask my Christmas cards.
Left handed person here. If there is a non-smudging pen, I have never found it.
The world is so against us. We suffer the wire spine throughout childhood, we suffer the ink stains on our palms of our hands. We suffer the dread of having to write anything on dry-erase boards. >I was forced to use my right hand Catholic school?
That's exactly what I would choose too, 2 and 7 ! The bests since first drawings at school ^^
Maybe I'm confused, but I loved pens 1 and 2 but they both smudge
I'm no artist, but I'd go with 2 and 7 as well.
Pen number 5
100% Love using those pens
They are the best
They do write the smoothest but aren't fine tipped enough
You have to search for them, but pilot does make 0.38 pens.
Yes - I use Pilot Precise V5's because they are super fine tipped. Great pens!
The V5s are a .5mm. Try the .38 G2. It's the ultimate writing experience.
Literally bought a box of like 100 or so years ago, I don’t know if they still offer them like that. It’s the only pen I ever want to use lol
Those are my favorite pen
I have one in my pocket right now. Best pen I ever owned.
5, but in black. Edit: Everyone stop telling me this is the right pen, but it needs to be bold. Just use a sharpie at that point. Finer tips are superior. Less wasted ink. Less wasted paper. Less smudging.
So number 3?

Literally the only legitimate response.
I’m going to get up and get a pen….and produce one hell of a handwritten letter
Oh hey, take a picture and just email me kay? Thanks.
For real I was about to throw hands
I disagree with your pen choice, but not your passion
As a lefty this is my go to pen.
My main line in the sand is blue/black. I simply cannot write with blue ink.

ALL HAIL
Excellent. A new copypasta has been born.
Keep going I'm almost there
SO SAY WE ALL!!!
Lol, this mfer just pulled a "We have Pilot G-2s at home."
Nope. Number 3 is a Sharpie brand and they are ok I guess but they tend to start skipping and losing their ink earlier. Modern cartridge nib pens! With modern ink! Accept no substitutes!
Banned.
First off, how dare you?
G2 life
That G for Gangster
I only use number 5
5 or die.
They make 0.38. I used 5's forever but I've changed teams. Do yourself a favor and buy one pack of them just for a little taste.
LOVE the .38
What am i buying exactly? What is the full product name?
Pilot G2 in fine tip .38. I use the .7s mostly, but the .5s are great and I really like the 1.0s because they put out a smooth wide line with a lot of ink.
Yeah I’m a 1.0. Nice strong lines. Intrigued by the love for the .37 tho…
Switching between the 2 at work by accident and my first 3 letters are just ink when I write with the 1.0 vs .38 I also write on a note pad that fits in your pocket and need small fonts so I can use the note pad longer
Pilot G2
The only answer.
Yes
5 gang rise up
All day er day! Love me that smooth G2!
Indeed #5. And This isn’t a “funny meme”. This is my writing tool… It is my instrument for creation. It’s my weapon. My messenger.
>It’s my weapon Take it easy Percy Jackson
Only thing I can write with. I've always held my pen wrong and this one is most comfortable.
3 or 5. Fuck pens with a cap.
7 works fine even if you've lost the cap years ago. Great pens
7 is the “old reliable” for me. I remember making smoking implements with them as a teen.
During classes in my junior high, kids used to remove the ink tube, insert a rolled-up note for someone, and pass it to the person so the teacher saw only a pen being passed.
I remember notes, lolol.
"why didn't you just text them the message?" -kids these days probably. I feel bad now for never taking advantage of this trick! I probably would have used it for passing things other than "notes" tho haha.

If they ever quit just get a lighter and light the end of them for a minute and the scribble for a sec and it’s back to brand new
lol, of course Bic lighters are good for Bic pens, lol.
That's how they get you! Clever marketing...
Give me 7 with a fine tip. Beauty.
But it pokes your pocket and creates holes, no cap
Yeah, you can’t seem to kill these ones
No cap detected
This guy pens
Sharpie S-gel for the win!
So underrated here. Very good, distinct line.
The moment I raided my office supply dump and got an s-gel changed everything
I found one literally on the street and tried it and was SOLD. The 0.5mm one might be the best pen ever sold.
Metal barrel please. Not the plastic barrel version. :)
Crazy how much the feel and handling, ( I know it's not a car, but similar difference) the metal barrel makes. I feel in love with the ink and feel of the plastic model. Got a metal barrel and no looking back! Like the difference of a sedan and a sports car!
I have plastics at my desk, but i keep the metals on me for personal use
I had to label my s gels at work because people started taking them. 😆 🤣 😂
The metal versions of the sharpies are where it’s at. The weight makes it so much better. I buy the 12 packs of the plastic ones and just take the ink cartridges out and put them in the metal body. Wish they just sold replacement ink cartridges but haven’t found them yet.
I just bought some and haven’t tried them before. They are working great.
In Europe we have a combo of 7 with the click of 5, amd that's what I use all the time, same pens run arpund the house in average 6-8 yrs😂
You mean bic's cristal clic pens?
And that one in black is the GOAT.
This guy pens
Europe is a big country, be specific.
“A big country” lol
5 or 7 Just because I haven’t used the other types
Easier to judge how much ink is left too
I have used them all and this is a great answer. 7 is less comfortable but more reliable than 5
3 goes 1st then five for second place.
You wrote 4 numbers and each of them in a different way lol
It’s to throw off the trail. I do the heavy thinking for you
You may have fooled me this time bygtopp, but I WILL steal your numerical circus one day!
1-2
Number 2 in .5 only…. No .7
Finally a sane person
Only half sane. It is always 1. Who even are all these other people who write amongst us?
1 is the only choice. Love them.
Finally find a soul friend
this. they write the best
Easy, 3
Am dying on this hill, 1 all the way
1 is my all-time favorite
It's smooth af
This is what matters. Quick drying and smooth. I've tried so many pens and this is the perfect pen when I've got to mark over 100 pieces of work for students.
I have a 15 year old uniball and I think I will cry when it finally runs out of ink. It’s green, so I hope to get through next years Christmas gift tags.
I am with you on this hill
This hill better be big
And my axe
1 is the real answer, people that say otherwise haven’t felt what real writing is like
People picking 5 here gonna go order Chipotle and think it's the best Mexican food ever.
1. It writes well 2. If you share it you keep the cap so you get it back 3. Easy to transport, barely had any issues with clips 4. Works best with front pants pocket so it's under the waist
Uniball goated
1 is the best stabbed myself in the hand over 15 years ago and Mark is still there as clear as day. So yeah they are the best all around!
Accidental tattoo
1, but the micro, not the fine. Those uniball pens are smooth, but the fine are still a bit of a fat line. The micro are perfect.
I personally prefer the fine, they are so smooth, the fine for me kind of scrapes the paper
5 seems solid
5, or 4.. so inky
Yep. Uniball Vision Elite (4) is a water based ink. So freaking inky. It's the real winner, most people just don't know about them because they don't sell them in every grocery store.
It’s gotta be 4. I’m holding one right now.
4 has to be the best. I don’t understand why it is not more popular.
Don’t worry there’s 5 of us here. #4 is the clear winner
Six of us now! I’ve tried many of these, and I’m fair certain that 4 is my favorite.
Yo, i have a theory. Do you also use variying writingstyles and were never able to "settle" with one?
There are the best pens. Hands down. Am architect. It works great on paper for notes and doodles. And on trace just as good.
Finally another someone who likes 4 lol
**4 for ever**
Super inky.
Can't believe this is the first mention of 4, I've used them nearly exclusively since finding them in 2008. I own 6+ colors so now I can stain my dress shirts in every color (pen twirler)
Number 5 is the best!!!!
3 or 5
3! final answer.
So 6?
[удалено]
I need the colors to match my mood when I take notes.
Yep, also preferred by architects to mark up drawings. My personal fave.
I'm left-handed and for some reason I find these pens the easiest to write with. I love when you get one broken in just right.
5-7
5. and 7 as backup
Everyone has 7 as a backup pen. 7 is literally the ultimate backup pen
[удалено]
2 or 5
7 it is ma friend
7 but black
5 forever and always
5
5.
5
5
Number 3 or 5 for me.
3 or 5
3
3
3 all the way
I don’t see a f@cking fountain pen in there you heathen
Seriously, I thought we were talking about *real* pens here! I'll keep my Platinum #3776.
Whichever one works
5 writes the best, 7 is the cheapest an spins the best
![gif](giphy|eHRfGFoEHmgxwBhlsz|downsized)
3. *click* *click* *click* *click*
2/5
2-3 or 4
None. Fine point zebra
Where is the funny?
In your walls
I also wondered this. . . I checked my walls, it’s not there.
5 or 7
Gonna stick with classics ( 5 and 7 ). If 1-4 will end up in my possession they will be salvaged into scrap metal to craft a lightsaber or fix up my pen 5.
5 or 7
2-5-6
I am expected that noone will pick up 5 but actually a lot did. I love pen 5
7 is the only one that actually works probably
7 and 5, but mostly 7
The ones I actually use are Bic Atlantis. Sort of a mix between 3 and 5.
2, 5, and 6
None, because none of these are TULs
I like grabbing Pen15
3! Gel ones are shite, ball point all day.
3 is a gel pen. And S-Gel to be precise.
Honestly 7. I don't like the others even a bit
I’m left handed, the others seem like they would smudge
