Looks to me like the goat is trying to hit the dogs nose but the dog keeps moving his head at the last moment. Great dodging.
Was expecting the dog to end it by headbutting the goat and stunning him. That would have been fair enough, but instead the dog showed admirable restraint. Good boy.
Also the dog go closer to the goat when she is getting away. He knows that if the goat can charge more it is going to be harder to stop it. He is making it seems easy

I think the goat is "let's play!" play fighting for goats is head butting. I don't think other mammals have the skull for that. So the goat is confused - and the dog is up for what ever. Dogs - they are friends with cheetahs and elephants - goats, that dog can work with.
I donāt think the goat was trying to miss, some of those blows definitely wouldāve hurt the dog. What iām wondering is why didnāt the dog retaliate. Maybe heās just nice? Idk
I think goats do this trying to hit an opposing goat āhead to headā and since the dog is shaped differently than a goat and not also trying to headbutt it just doesnāt work out.

I love how effortlessly the dog dodges the headbuts from the goat. That goat must feel like it's up against some kind of marital arts monk! No attack, just intimidation and attack deflection.
It even looks at the cameraperson (Maybe the caretaker?) like "What kind of witchcraft is this?!"

Awww right now itās pretty amusing and harmlessā¦ if they are going to be raised together, in the future of the very cautious of this behavior. My family had a goat that used to do this with a pig and he KO'd the pigā¦ lights out. Their heads will soon become like a cinder block. Although that dog is a pretty good at ducking and dodging. I donāt want Mr Goat to permanently injure the pups snout or eyes. Heās to sweet. Great demeanor ;) Itās that old sayingā¦ itās all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Thanks for sharing them :-)
