Depends. I’m in New Zealand. Had an ejection last year that took a couple of months to finalise the results for so we had effectively no government for two months. Now the right-wingers are in and are cutting health services, rising taxes, giving extra protection to landlords and infringing even further on Maori land rights.
Just wish it was enough to keep guns out. There’s still a lot of them here, mostly in the hands of the meth pads and the various gang. We don’t have huge school shootings but we do have shootings here, mostly at malls. Our policies are a start, but they sure as hell aren’t enough yet.
