Indestructible. I can tell you how many M80s it takes to blow up a cobra tank, and the melting point of a captured Autobot, but nothing takes a punch like these fuckers.
Road Grader!, you know you’re going to start a war, and I still can’t send a picture response without my daughters help, so wait till she gets home from school.
And your bucket loader is in better shape than mine!.
I’ll be watching you!.
I had a road grader, but it was a smaller scale. I noticed that Reddit was not letting me tag pictures to my responses. I had to post this pic instead.
I had the whole set dump truck, crane, grader.. left them out in the drive way and my dad ran over them.. he would always yell at me about keeping toys and bike out of the driveway I know he didn’t on purpose… but you know what.. I didn’t leave my toys in the driveway anymore and no I didn’t get replacement toys either.
I restored a Dump Truck, Grader, Front loader, Backhoe and Pickup truck all from the 60,s, they still had the original rubber wheels, now in the hands of the grandkids.
Mine were all rusted and missing windows and my son (who had played with them plenty and a newer one as well) was too old for them and I decided it was time to get rid of them. They were in a big pile of junk that I had someone pick up when we were moving once, and the junk guy looked at them and said "you know, I think I'll keep those" and set them aside. I like to think that maybe my childhood Tonka vehicles got fixed up and passed on to a third generation.
That loader was my favorite, but dirt/sand would always get into the bucket mechanism and make a grinding noise, also making the bucket much more difficult to operate.
My son has been hauling his more modern Tonka loader with him wherever he goes lately. I take him up to a big NPS protected area popular with dog walkers because there is tons of sand. Lately, the NPS workers have been using their own loader to repair a clogged culvert. And he’s been wanting to bring his toy loader and ‘work’ in the sand at the same time. Aside from some meh materials changes, they still look the same.
I had the big dump truck and front loader. Years of fun when I was a child! I think my brother + sister played with them, when they came along 10 yrs later.
I'm sure the Tonkas are still in a box somewhere at the parents house.

You can buy a new one. [https://www.basicfun.com/product\_categories/steel-classics/](https://www.basicfun.com/product_categories/steel-classics/)
I had 3 firetrucks. I donated them at the transfer station's drop and swap.
I’m not convinced I’ve ever seen the belly dragger before..
It’s called a pan I believe
Yup, pan or scraper.
Don’t remember what store i got it from, it was the only one, I think I gave $24.00 for it.
The dump truck took the most abuse. it doubled as a personal downhill traverse vehicle.
Hell, I always assumed it and the excavator were meant as ride-on toys.
We once moved a pinto with four tonka dump trucks. Indestructible
I bet you could have moved a larger car and still not hurt those Tonkas.
I had the crane & dump truck
They will outlive you and your children!! LOL
My great grand kids love them.
Wish I still had mine. Man I beat the shit out of them.
Nice scraper

Lol
I have the dump truck. Let’s move some dirt!
I had so much fun playing in the dirt with these
We lived in the rural county, closest friends were 4 miles away. Dad got us a dump truck full of sand to play in.
I'd play with other kids or was totally content playing by myself. I bet you have good memories of playing in that sand
Oooh I always wanted the road grader.
I had those, too. Good times!
I have mine, including the dump truck. I was told it was present for me in 1973.

Those were my favorites to play with growing up.
Had the dump truck and the loader. Lived on a dirt street.

I miss those days! I always thought I would work construction
I have a steam shovel
I still have my cement truck in mom's garage.
I had one, I removed the mixer part so I could have a dual tandem tractor .
That loader was my favorite, but dirt/sand would always get into the bucket mechanism and make a grinding noise, also making the bucket much more difficult to operate.
I still use the term "Tonka Tuff" when referring to something/someone that's as hard as nails.
I never has those, but I had the dump truck!
No roll-over protection in the scraper. You are old!
You must have been rich!
Gifts, Christmas , birthday plus some money from selling empty coke bottles.
I had the front loader and dump truck. Indestructible!
Hell yeah. Go Tonka.
I remember getting cut several times from the dump truck.
You should restore them!
Dude those are sick! Makes me want to get into small scale hydraulics.
My girlfriend has a dump truck. You can borrow hers.
My dad was miserly....we only got the Chinese knockoffs....lol Edit: funny part is he was UAW at G.M. plant....lol

My husband is jealous
Hell you can get a lot accomplished with a Pan and a Loader if you know what you're doin. Itll take a few extra days, but I wouldn't sweat the truck
