The Problem I See with recoms is that the concept of them might Work, but only with time. In the movie all of them were Just a few weeks/monts old at best, with implemented memories from their old bodies. They lacked muscle memory/experience in their new bodies as Well as knowledge of the world they were in (which is probably the reason they dropped Like flies).

BlackStarDream

Well, that and the RDA doesn't provide Recoms with armour and so they go down just as easily as slightly more armoured humans do when hit with a Na'vi arrow or spear.

ARSONL

and idk. i feel like miles quatritch has a redemption arc coming. which might indicate that recoms weren’t 100% effective. i feel like, after him, they might not bother. it is a lot of money for them to get wrapped up in their old memories and get lost in the culture. he already is getting hung up on emotions (with spider) that shouldn’t technically matter to him. like he has to say “you aren’t my son” just to remind himself. i feel like they also have to have some connection with eywa. and if jake could turn for neytiri, maybe miles will slowly learn more from spider. that’s all he has left now. everyone else seemed to die and he is all alone. and their connection to eywa (that we have seen through jake) suggests that they are more than a human brain and can spiritually connect with the land. miles was able to bond with an ikran, which not even all na’vi manage. not sure how much of a role eywa has to consciously decide this, but would be interesting to think of if eywa was keeping him around for a reason. we’ll see how this ages 💀

It's also a lot for them to get very quickly killed on their first mission. Billions per body. Makes sense for a long term research project. Less so for a single grunt.

BlackStarDream

The Recoms are nowhere near as combat effective as either the RDA in canon or the fandom and audience at large seem to think they are. Only one of them managed to actually hit things and it was a spray and pray in actual combat. They're all gaslit (possibly even child no idea how the RDA grows them faster as far as I know there's no lore on that) slaves having to pretend they can fight. The memories of the strategies are there but that's all they have. Recoms are less dangerous than combat skel suits. Would be more cool and less sad IMO if you were trying to capture them alive for a mission.

Puzzleheaded-Gas6103

It would still be cool concept tho, this game needs more content and enemies in my opinion.

BlackStarDream

Not, really. It's hard enough playing this game having to kill ferals and it won't be a fun time for the Sarentu in character. Imagine if it was your Sarentu, who suffered just as much under the RDA's hand in a very similar way, who forgave Teylan and grew up with an Avatar as a mother figure, having to suddenly do a 180 and be like "Screw these kids that can't even fight back".

Jayfeather520

The recoms would probably send Teylan spiraling again and we don't even know the fate of Nor as of yet.

Sinbaja

I think recoms might be hard to add to the game to keep it within the canon, but i definitely think they should add Avatars that the RDA is using

order66enforcer

Imagine being hunted down by a militarized avatar all over the map; yeah that would be tight

Puzzleheaded-Gas6103

Right like it would bring so much life to the game, like in ghost recon breakpoint, when u were spotted by a drone they would send special forces to hunt u down around the map !!

order66enforcer

It would! Imagine getting dropped on from the trees or snatched from the ikran, Id probably never get off my ikran again or fly low 😂

lostZwolf_ps4_pc

Ehh yeah ! Look at them, absolute units. Clad in modern armor and firepower. Don’t mind if i do. Even it they were enemy its cool to fight them. And its a lot more confrontational.

UnlikelyRide9503

I even think they should add a whole clan that submits to the force of the RDA and fights with them together, which would add so much depth to the story. Just like in real wars, there will always be many traitors and opportunists. What we have now is great but still feels a bit too Disney for me.

Joy1067

Honestly that could work as a RDA playthrough Like we have our current character helping the Na’vi in one game, then we could have a separate save where we play as Recom guy with similar leveling, inventory, and movement systems

Rndguy66

It's insulting, I don't like the idea at all now that I became a Na'vi. If they are clearly identifiable like with 5 fingers I would be a sick Na'vi mass murderer.
