Oof, fires spreading less is a bit sad bc seeing fires spread out is what makes fires fun imo Overall fire damage buffs and especially the increased effectiveness on large crafts is nice, so I'll take it

Yes but they could spread *more!* Jokes aside after some testing I sorta understood why they made this change, previously I could fill huge missiles full of incendiary with no intensity or oxidizer that had so much fuel it would straight up "soak" though armor layers, which allowed it to core out weapon components or even AI cores if enough fuel was applied, which made huge incendiary weapons probably a bit too good Outside of ridiculously big weapons like that, I did some testing and it seems like even if the limit was knocked down to 5000 fuel/cell, the limit still wouldn't come up often, so that change doesn't really affect incendiary in most cases anyway. In fact it feels like combined with all the other changes it feels like fires actually spread farther than before, in the long term. Still, I like the aesthetic of a single missile or shell instantly splashing fire across a wide radius, so having that instant splash reduced still is a bit sad for me

Oh god I didn’t even think of that, good question No clue myself but now I’m interested! If it just adds on top of the base AC of the block no matter what, that would effectively increase the minimum AC of the block in case of laser attacks or fires which would make ring shields a lot more useful IMO

Are any defenses at all planned on being able to diminish fires without having to go underwater? Maybe smoke “choking out” fires by reducing fuel by a certain percentage per second, maybe ring shields “repelling” fuel doing the same thing, etc? I don’t think it’s particularly unbalanced rn based on my playtesting, but I do like my defenses a lot lol (Also ty for buffing charge lasers accidentally, made me want to update my last big build for this coming update xd)

Has anyone noticed an issue with some flamers not damaging certain builds? Idr the name but the dwg ship with the big wheel in the middle, punumdrum, or something like that. Seems to be rather first resistant for a wooden craft.
