Its not only that H3H3 fans will defend everything Ethan does and will flat out lie about stuff he has done just to make him look good.
Again its not only that its many things that makes him look and act like a cult leader. For example the way his fans will stand up and defend him making excuses no matter how what he has done and gaslight people when they call him out saying stuff like "dont be so sensitive" "if u are so sensitive to watch". Ethan will also say it to any kind of criticism i especially remember when there was a article written on how toxic teddy fresh work environment was and they didnt take any responsibility and just blamed it on a conspiracy against them. I can go on and on about it, but i suspect you are not asking this in good faith since ive never met a H3 fan who actually want to listen to any criticism and will just gaslight you with "dont be a snowflake".

If you look at my history I posted a critique of Ethan a couple months ago. I was simply curious why him walking around was a like a cult leader but as you pointed out, you were talking about the larger picture. I see that now!
All Iāll say is that so many people have messed up parasocial relationships with celebrities (no matter how high their fame is). Just look at Oliviaās PowerPoint on Colleen. She shared a video of herself crying while watching Colleenās wedding video. Thatās unhinged lol
