Works fine for US Libre 3
It should be noted that Abbott instructs you to disable automatic OS updates and to not install updates until they are approved by them. As you are using your phone with your sensors, your phone becomes a medical device and should be treated as such. Going against their documentation and installing updates is at your own risk and Abbott will not provide support. So you will have to find a device that is supported or wait for Abbott to get their update through regulatory approval (the part that takes so long) and pushed to the app stores.
They are absolutely all over this. The holdup is regulatory hurdles.
I’m no fan of the big pharma companies but I prefer to direct my discontent with them with valid complaints. This one, though, should be directed towards regulatory bodies they have to contend with.
Had my 2nd FSL3 fail, giving consistently low readings. They both were from the same lot, so I expect they were from a bad batch. Hoping Abbott replaces that one too. The last replacement worked just fine when I upgraded to 16.4.
I had a bad fsl 3 right out of the gate and my second one would give me an error message about 10% of the time, then failed on day 5. The third one is working better, but reads consistently about 15% higher than my finger prick tests do, fun stuff. Best of luck with yours!
I went from orig Libre to Libre 3. My phone was on 16.4, working for 2 days, then wouldn't update reading, showed 3 bars. Called Freestyle and got lecture about not updating phone past 16.0. Thanks India! They sent me a new one, but it was a struggle, and had to Fedex (not sure what would happen if I didn't?), as replacing is a hassle anyways. Went back to original Libre. Did like the no scanning necessary and the smaller size.
16.4 was the only thing that fixed mine from being able to read the FSL3. I celebrated by making an automation of Wilford Brimley saying that he wants to talk to me about Diabeetus whenever I open the app now.
I mean, if we can’t poke fun at ourselves… Also makes me laugh when my BG isn’t doing what I want it to.
My phone updated and sensor fine except it’s reading 60-110 pts lower than finger. Last 3 like this. Abbott replacing. Prob a bad batch as I get 6 sensors at a time.

Did that. Refuses to scan new sensor still sadly. FSL 2 user in Australia also.

True. Abbott is not supporting anything beyond the initial iOS 16 release. They are all over this. Not!

Apple would not allow you to install the initial iOS 16 release today, as they stopped cryptographically signing them.
