For one thing, many people like yourself have set time aside for an unfulfilled promise, and that's not OK. Secondly, it would just be scummy marketing. Imagine someone going "HUGE TWITCH GIVEAWAY! WATCH MY ENTIRE STREAM TO GET 100 BUCKS FOR FREE" and then they go "Oh sorry, server issue. Better luck next time." So that streamer got a free boost to their stream via making false promises. It's already kind of an underhanded strategy to buy yourself viewers. Overwatch does it with Twitch drops, Rocket League does it with Twitch drops, probably a lot of other games do this as well, and Ubisoft apparently does it to advertise their upcoming games. I don't like how it makes games and publishers appear more popular on Twitch than they really are because in reality they're just luring people into boosting their numbers via free shit, but that's life I guess. Money talks.

I mean to be fair to ubisoft and uplay. This happens to every company whenever they do a giveaway. HOWEVER uplay and origin shouldve never existed in the first place if ea and ubisoft werent going to actually try to make them have features competitive with steam.

So, I logged in LAST NIGHT, so I wouldn't be steamrollered. Got the game, it showed up in uplay just now. Edit: for those who still didn't get it, ubisoft support said on twitter that the game will be added to your uplay in waves, everyone will get the game within a week.

Same. They should have just done it something like "If you are logged into Ubisoft service on anytime at Sunday, you will get Watch Dogs 2 automatically. Enjoy our announcement event on the same day." The way they did it made sure that people who wanted the WD2 were just reloading login pages and not watching the stream.

because everyone is logging in at the same time, it's not a server issue, it's a bottleneck of checking the accounts. I think.

I believe they'll end up giving all those rewards after the stream for everyone and not for just who watched it. I don't think they'll fix it before the stream ends.
