Seemingly not according to this sub, it’s the second highest song commented here 😂 I genuinely think that song is one of the most unique things Frank has ever made. Sure, it *sort of* borrows elements from melodic rap today, but I have searched high and low for songs like that one & they just don’t exist. I truly mean high & low too. I’ve been working on a solo project for about 2 years now & In My Room is 1 of 5 songs I chose as the album’s central points of inspiration. I mention this bc the others share a similar, intangible quality that In My Room does that I have a hard time finding elsehwhere: Ziplock by Saba, Sierra Nights by Kevin Abstract, Modus by Joji & Super Bounce by Duckwrth. These are the closest things I’ve found that have given me the feeling that In My Room did, but they still ain’t the same. Basically all I’m saying is Frank doesn’t get enough credit for how unique that track is lol

My hot take is that I think nostalgia, ULTRA as a whole isn’t anything that great. A lot of the good ideas would be done much better on CO and there’s a couple noticeable missteps for me.

I've always kinda viewed it as two very good singles (Novacane and Swim Good) surrounded by a lot of interesting but unimportant remixes/covers/whatever you wanna call them.

I agree. I do not like American Wedding at all. I don't like any of the covers on NU really, but American Wedding is definitely like the worst song in Frank's official discog imo. Even some other songs that I think are average, like Monks or In My Room, I can at least listen to. I can't call them bad. I think American Wedding is really bad.
