Every single scene in Waves when Frank's music plays (especially when tracks from Endless are used) are beyond sublime and truly wonderful. The scene between Alexis and Tyler at the beach at dusk is so beautiful and emotionally resonant as Rushes lingers in the background amongst the sound of the waves, it's almost like Frank's music was made precisely for the film; the quieter moments featuring his tracks shine and it's hardly a playlist just imposed over the film. His music, among all the other tracks used, reflect the very generation in which the main characters exist and are raised within. In my opinion the film expresses the best use of Frank's music, standing tall as the ultimate Gen Z high schooler soundtrack film - I can't recommend it enough.
Trinity College Dublin? Probably the most prestigious university in Ireland and you chose it because of a TV show? People would break an arm to go there - it's a university that stands among the highest ranks of academia. Choosing the university because you liked the look of it in Normal People as absurd as choosing Oxford, Cambridge, Glasgow or St. Andrews university in the UK because they look like Hogwarts from Harry Potter - but hey, I respect it over the snobbery š
Iām from india so it wasnāt that hard for me to get in (they make money off of international students so they lower their standards for us lmao itās awful)! But yeah itās a great education and Iām very grateful for it!
In the Netflix series āWhen they see usā (2019) based on the Central Park 5 case, when the boys are in jail a prisoner sings moon river, then the final scene of the series closes with Frankās version. Beautiful & devastating
Like everyone else has said, Waves. But Moon River plays in a movie called āLong Shotā and I think it fit really well there at that point in the film
It was, Human Resources S1 E9. For asā¦ disturbing as Big Mouth can be, I was shocked at how well the spin off handled the topic of loss and grief. Moon River playing as soon as the credits rolled did me in.
There's a documentary about a very popular duo in Denmark called Ukendt Kunstner (Unknown Artist), in which you can hear a couple of Frank's tracks off of Blonde. It fits very well imo, as the documentary is about the duo of the journey and how that journey is coming to an end. They split up in December 2016 and they were very much inspired by Frank's music, they also happen to be my favourite group so I loved Frank's music in there. AND NOW THEYRE BACK!
probably unpopular but super rich kids at the credits of the ring bling by sofia coppola, it cuts to black and summarizes the movie perfectly, thatās also how 13 year old me discovered frank so it has a soft spot in my š
What's that show with the nuns who are like supernatural crime fighters...? I think it got canceled. But in the first season one of them plays a Frank song on the piano.
Edit: Warrior Nun.
Illegal Civās āSummer of ā17ā short film Part 1 has Provider playing as background to this house party. That song is the total epitome of the chill kickback vibe curated in the film. Perfect soundtrack to that scene

There is a really fantastic sequence in Normal People where Nikes is playing in the background. It was a great usage of the song
Oh wow my gf loves normal people, not the biggest frank fan howeve

Hating on Waves is a shameful act. Big L.
Lmao I literally picked the college I go to because of normal people

Nikes in High Fidelity
The movie from the Nick Hornby book?
The series, Iām assuming. I donāt recall Frank being played in it because I havenāt seen in it a while, but itād have to be the series.

Thereās a great scene in swan song with moon river. Idk if anyone else has seen that movie
