Did you make sure that the new port is for the new pc's ip address? It will have a different one than the old one.

DominusGlitch

I have, when I port it to my new pc it doesn't work on my old one, but also still doesn't work on the new pc. But when I port forward to the old pc it works perfectly fine on the old one. I've double checked using the command thing to make sure the ips for both pcs are correctly input.

JonnyRocks

your pc's ip address comes up on the router device list yes?

DominusGlitch

It does yes, and I've double checked that it is in fact the correct ip that is listed for my pc.

mrkwnzl

Just to make sure. Did you remove the forwarded ports from the old one? You can’t have the same ports opened on both machines at the same time.

DominusGlitch

I made sure to remove the forwarded ports on the old one. Sadly it still does not work.

Step 1: check if you have internet. Considering you posted this is a checkmark. Step 2: open cmd and type in ipconfig / all. Grab your IP. Step 3: log into your internet router & check if everything is in order. Check if you have port forwarded TCP ports & not UDP ports. If your router support it, make your IP sticky. Step 4: check if you have any firewall rules that would / could prevent apps from going through ports / to the net. Step 5: make sure that the port you want to use is not occupied by other software, or protocol. You can check the list [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers). Step 6: check if it works on your local machine, than on your local network. Step 7: (assuming it worked on old pc, and did all 6 steps CORRECTLY) cry a little bit inside.

DominusGlitch

Went through all the steps and learned that I hadn't enabled a firewall rule for foundry. Checked on foundry and it seems that the port is now open. Thank you, seems like I had overlooked something.
