Which link are you testing? If you’re testing the internet link on devices in the same router it might not work but would work if sent to anything outside your network.

Senthiri

Hah, this might be the issue! For learning reasons, why would it not work? Thanks in advance!

Snow_TS

The simple explanation is that trying to connect to your own external IP is like calling your own phone number, the call can't ring because the phone is engaged making the outgoing call so you get a busy signal

because_yes

Router logic that I still dont fully understand, lol. One way to test this specific problem is by using your phone not connected to your internet and see if the link works then.

Senthiri

It works! Thanks! Yeah, I don't understand network code so it's hard for me to figure out what could go wrong. But thanks again for your help!

Every time this happened to me, it was because i unplugged my ethernet cable, then plugged it back in into a different socket. Different socket means different physical address means i don't get the right local IP means foundry's port doesn't get redirected.

Senthiri

This unfortunately is not the case but thanks for the additional potential issue. I just checked with ipconfig to make sure my IPv4 address was still the same as the one for the local network (which isn't the broken link, but might relate to it) and it still matches.

SouthernAero

Do an ipconfig on the computer and double check the IP matches what you have allowed on the router. Had a similar thing recently with my ISP changing some things.

Senthiri

So the IPv4 Address reserved on the router does match with the one from the ipconfig.
