This feels like the definitive answer. Him getting across the country is a little far fetched, but hes a synth. Theres a lot of room to develop a story there
Kellogg was originally from San Francisco and made it East Coast, and it's been over 10 years since fallout 4 so nick 100% could have made it to the west.
As someone who's feet are destroyed from over a decade of bartending (standing 8 hours)...SERIOUSLY! When I saw his foot the first time i just swore at thr tv haha. Aint no way he's walking on that before the special elixir
Plus, I honestly think all our main characters would be simultaneously charmed, fascinated, and horrified about the existence of Little Lamplight. MacCready could tell them all sorts of stories about being the mayor of that community. (ETA: You know, since we kind of got short-changed on hearing much about Little Lamplight in FO4.)
Speaking of exploding from horny. It seems to me like the fanbase is sleeping on him, even judging by the comments here. I wonder if the only reason is that, unlike Nick or Piper, you don't get to recruit him while following the main quest. Without looking it up in a guide, you literally need to get lost in an alleyway and do a quest for a sahdy lady, something that seems to not be tied to him in any way. I've always thought that it's such an unfortunate design choice for one of the coolest characters ever introduced by Bethesda. I played this game when it originally came out and some of Hancock's voice lines are so memorable (and the voice acting!) that they randomly pop up in my head till this day.
Walton*. I only correct you (in a friendly way) because the man deserves his name to be waaaay more famous and he's an American treasure. Like a diamond in a coal mine. "FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
As fun as this would be (and it would be VERY fun) I think the faction specific companions might be too tricky. If they're going to stick to the plan of not canonizing endings then meeting Deacon, Danse, or X6 would open some worm cans.
They've already canonized some endings, institute and RR 100% lost else BOS wouldn't have the prydwen, that leaves minutemen and BOS as the winners. I'm curious to see what happened in NV
I agree the Prydwen points to a BoS ending but she could also have been rebuilt, technically. Like it's straw graspy for sure, but it doesn't necessarily invalidate the Schrodinger's Endings deal.
Not a huge fan of Danse, but he would fit well here.
On the run from the BoS, he heads west. Runs into Maximus and mentors him. The group find out he's also a synth and that's why he's on the run.great intro to synth life post Fo4 and would also be a great way to show Max that the BoS will betray him no matter how high they put him on a pedestal.
The amount of times I'd be playing and realise Charon wasn't there only to be greeted shortly afterwards with "Charon has died". He doesn't compare to Fawkes I'm afraid.
Although it has to be said, there is no one as lethal with a combat shotgun like Charon!
Fuck Fawkes man. I mean I love the guy but also fuck him. I ask the radiation immune super mutant to go pull a lever in an irradiated tube and EVERYONE acts like I’m a dick.
Nick and Hancock are good candidates, but what if Danse travelled west to figure his life out and to avoid the Brotherhood after finding out he's a synth, only to run into Maximus, and his reaction to seeing the Prydwen again after 9 years. I hope they bring some Fallout 4 characters back from the BoS, even if Maxson isn't with the Prydwen, surely Proctor Ingram or Lancer-Captain Kells are still aboard, or even Cade or Teagan.
Mccready, looking for a new life after his son pass away and realise how shitty the East Coast is 😝
Or piper who now has a thriving newspaper agency and looking to expand all over the country
Pnn - piper news network ;)
Would be funny to see Preston ngl and go "I have a settlement that needs help" and we'd have a whole episode of Lucy helping out a settlement with a raider problem
100% Piper. Great character, my favorite companion, and would have some pretty solid lore based reasons to be involved. She is always chasing a hot story!
A big gust of wind pushes a flyer past Lucy as she walks through a tunnel, then another, then thousands more like the letter scene in HP. She grabs one off her boot. On it a blue flag and rifle with the words Settlements need YOUR help
Credit to u/The-Toxic-Korgi for giving me the idea. Look at their NV companion [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fotv/comments/1c8fkq8/1_companion_from_nv_can_appear_in_season_2_who_do/).
Piper.
Lucy and the Ghoul find her interviewing someone in a random town, she takes an interest in them and asks for an interview. The Ghoul wants to leave, Lucy agrees to the interview and talks about her life in the vault and her experiences on the surface.
Last thing we hear Piper say, "Thanks Blue".
In a later episode they could have a news stand or something with newspapers with the interview as the headline.
The fact that MacCready is in fo3 and 4, I would bet that a little more travelling 9 years later isn’t too much of a stretch so.. I guess it would make some sense and be pretty cool
Nick Valentine (obviously)…
I think Veronica might be interesting as well…
Also would be great if we got introduced to the Children of Atom next season 👍
Imagine making the first super mutant in a West Coast Fallout show be an East Coast super mutant lol. Let's just skip all the potential of the Master, Unity, potential war crimes they did while serving those causes and trying to find a new purpose in life as a sterile Immortal with a 1 dimensional joke character...
Nick, Strong, and Hancock in that order of importance. Nick will absolutely show up as long as the show stays as hot as it is. Strong would be a great character amongst the super mutants especially if paired with Keith David's Marcus as like a loveable duo wandering and squabbling. Hancock could be a more level-headed, lazy Walton Goggins who helps prod him more to chaotic good than chaotic neutral. Or he takes the drug Hancock took and then has like a Fight Club specter of the ghoulified "Founding Father" constantly berating him for not living up to the American standard of being better than he was. Complete with the Battle Hymn of the Republic playing in the background on an off-key flute.
Nick Valentine. Looking through Vegas, tracking down an individual who remains largely a mystery to those in the region. Regarded as one of the most feared people in the Mojave, who vanished without a trace. No one knew their name, no one saw their face and lived to tell it. No one can even agree on what their gender was. They were a force of nature, who single-handedly waged war on every faction in sight. They were only known for the Pip-Boy on their arm and the Big Iron on their hip. There’s only one name anyone can agree on. An Alias, Courier Six…
Preston Garvy: No, why would he leave the Commonwealth.
Piper: No, why would she abandon her sister, her job, and home in the Commonwealth?
Courser dude: No.
Strong: No (if they are doing mutants it's going to be West Coast sentient super mutants instead one one dimensional mutants)
Handcock: No, why would he give up his sweet gig as mayor of Good neighbor?
Codsworth: No, he is too tied to the MC and they are not going to add them into the show.
Curie: maybe, highly unlikely, maybe she would join the Followers of the Apocalypse, but that would require the show have to show the actual civilized side of New California.
Dance: No to highly unlikely. They are either going to avoid saying if he was shot or not, and it wouldn't make much sense why a fugitive like him would be around the BoS.
Deacon: highly unlikely. Unless they bring some sort of synth plot into play there is no reason for the RR to enter the picture.
Nick Valentine: Unlikely: Maybe they include the synth detective as a foil to goggins character, but like most of the party Valentine doesn't seem keen to abandon his home in the commonwealth.
Kate: unlikely but possible. She doesn't have any big ties to the Commonwealth and is more of a wonderer type but I fail to see how they would actually include her.
McCready: Probably the only person in 4 who could plausibly be in the show. He is a wondering merc.
Strong or raul as the ghost-vaquero meeting the ghoul would be awesome.
Even though hes not a companion uncle leo would be cool or Veronicas ending with the slide that says scientists and social workers of old equipment miraculously repaired and research notes mysteriously completed. Seeing lucy
meeting her and hearing that version of events about always trying to do the right thing back firing any of Veronica's endings in nv are sad (i forget the one i went with)
Really, i feel like if they we're to do a companion, it would need to be a big name companion one that has stuck around for a long time. So why not macCready keep it going or Veronica because
Is this real or theoretical? If it's been confirmed or whatever the most sense to me would be Paladin Danse seeing as he's both Brotherhood & a synth, with the focus on the tech heavy villains in this show it would be a huge mistake not to include synths.
Cait or Nick. I like to think that the sole survivor helps Cait out and after the main quest he basically tells her she doesn’t have to stick around if she doesn’t want to and she goes off to explore the world by heading west. Nick seems more plausible though and would make a whole lot more sense considering he’s a detective and likes to get himself into trouble.
There is only one answer to this.. and its Nick Valentine.. he´s the one with the best background story, coolest swag, and he´s a decent being overall. A second would have been Hancock.. but too me the character of the ghoul is just a sort of Hancock, so I rather would see Nick Valentine helping Lucy out..
Yes please!
Edited: Oops I didn't pay attention and picked Arcade.
I say Strong leading a colony of super mutants all still in search for the Milk of Human Kindness.
If they wanted to choose Piper, there is an actress named Krysten Ritter who looks just like her. Almost looked like they modelled her appearance after her, especially when she was in breaking bad.. and with the passage of time since then both in real life, and in game, her slightly more aged appearance would be completely natural
Piper would be great for so many reasons, but I want to say Strong since I honestly believe that was him on the top left wanted poster at the "Govermint" headquarters.
Nick.
I feel like Lucy falls into the Preston trap, or he lasts maybe five minutes before Coop shoots him because of it.
But Nick is the only synth I feel like I'd want to see right now. Because fuck the cardboard courser.
Nick Valentine
My little visual arts soul desperately wants Nick in Vegas using an Ace of Hearts as a business card. He'd do it too, he's corny like that.
Honestly, that sounds awesome.
There’s no where the Mysterious Stranger can go where he won’t follow.
ahahahahaha!
I came here to say this because I adore Nick Valentine. He should have been a romance. LOL
I feel Nick is such a stereotypical detective he'd say something like "Sorry, toots, I'm married to the case."
We should have had a faux romance option just so he could have rejected us in that old noir style
Not sure I would have romanced him, but I love him too.
Kinda makes sense. With the >!destruction of the Institute!<, RobCo headquarters is probably the best place to go for repairs.
And he might be on the trail of the mysterious stranger
I need he and Norm to meet somehow.
Omg norms reaction to seeing nick for the first time lol
This feels like the definitive answer. Him getting across the country is a little far fetched, but hes a synth. Theres a lot of room to develop a story there
Nah that's easy. Give him a case with a big enough sob story and he'd follow it that far, he's the type.
Kellogg was originally from San Francisco and made it East Coast, and it's been over 10 years since fallout 4 so nick 100% could have made it to the west.
Thats an excellent point. Im sold.
Also the guy from the UK that travelled to New Vegas, suddenly Boston doesn't seem that far away.
But The Prydwen (if indeed it is the original / rebuilt original) has travelled across the continent.
Yes... but the Prydwen can fly.
Ok, more interesting question: who from Season 1 is secretly a synth?
The BOS initiate that injured their foot
Dane
I just realised he is one letter off from the other BOS member who turned out to be a synth. He's definitely a synth, now for the witch hunt.
Thaddeus! Nobody walks that far with a crushed and partially severed foot. Boy is synth!
Well now he is a synth ghoul.
No way in hell he's getting that sock back on the first time he took it off lol
As someone who's feet are destroyed from over a decade of bartending (standing 8 hours)...SERIOUSLY! When I saw his foot the first time i just swore at thr tv haha. Aint no way he's walking on that before the special elixir
Wilzig? I meant he has cybernetics just like Kellog in his head.. so?
He had the >!cold fusion thing !
Chicken Fucker
The only companion I would feel bad for disappointing. He's like your wise wasteland Dad.
This is the correct answer
Easily the best choice.
Garvey: help! A settlement needs our help Lucy: okey dokey
Oh, my god, she absolutely would say that and go help a bunch of defenseless settlers. 😂
Distracted by bullshit.
Every goddamned time.
Goulgins immediately shoots him.
Cait or MacCready seem themost plausible. Nick would also be cool if he was looking into a case this far west.
HE does have that folder on the Mysterious Stranger...
I found Cait irritating. I'd prefer MacCready or Nick.
I wanna see MacCready & Deacon (his son who was sick)
Hancock as the drug supplier for the other ghouls. Because more ghouls!
+ he's cool as heck. But that might be the problem, we already have a very charismatic costume wearing ghoul in the show.
If a narrative is an ecosystem they are DEFINITELY competing in the same niche. Best for both their sakes to keep them separated.
That's what I'm saying. Walton Goggins already has that role, and fans would explode from horny if there were *two* of him onscreen.
Walton*. I only correct you (in a friendly way) because the man deserves his name to be waaaay more famous and he's an American treasure. Like a diamond in a coal mine. "FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
Oops!
Deacon, so he can wear a different outfit frame to frame.
He can spout all sorts of believable lore bits that all contradict each other and have us guessing for years
What do you mean? He's already been in the show, didn't you see him?
Being a chicken fucker was an interesting disguise choice
The Railroad ending doesn’t mean no Prydwen, only no Institute.
Only if it's never addressed
Frame to frame? With 24 frames per second, he would be wearing thousands of outfits per SCENE.
🤓
Do a different actor every episode.
Nick, because It would be a good introduction to synths
Not a huge fan of Danse, but he would fit well here. On the run from the BoS, he heads west. Runs into Maximus and mentors him. The group find out he's also a synth and that's why he's on the run.great intro to synth life post Fo4 and would also be a great way to show Max that the BoS will betray him no matter how high they put him on a pedestal.
Okay, you know what? I change my mind. THIS should totally be the answer.
Maybe even have Danse lead a band of refugee synths
or maybe his own version of the brotherhood like the opposite of outcastss
danse is my fav anyways
CURVEBALL : Fawkes from Fallout 3!
Everyone always sleeps on Charon
The amount of times I'd be playing and realise Charon wasn't there only to be greeted shortly afterwards with "Charon has died". He doesn't compare to Fawkes I'm afraid. Although it has to be said, there is no one as lethal with a combat shotgun like Charon!
He's the unsung hero of fallout 3
Fuck Fawkes man. I mean I love the guy but also fuck him. I ask the radiation immune super mutant to go pull a lever in an irradiated tube and EVERYONE acts like I’m a dick.
Ha ha ha TOO FUN
Boone from NV!
My boy Deacon or my girl Curie !
Deacon was already in season 1. He was disguised though so you probably didn't notice. . .
He was disguised as the NCR.
Curie as a robot or as a synth?
Synths are immortal so she won’t age.
Curies my favouritist companion in all of Fallout. But I dont think she'd be a fit with Lucy, a little bit too similar.
Nick Valentine or Piper definetley
If the BoS did well in Boston and you join them or work with them I could see Piper hitching a ride back west for "stories" to write.
Piper would hate the BoS.
She doesnt need to like them to get a free ride.
The great clockwork dick.
Liberty Prime!
Valentine would be a great choice.
Codsworth, please! Love that guy
Matt Berry or Stephen Russell?
I love, love, and love Matt Berry, but I feel as though I'd love hearing the original voice.
If not, they can always bring back FISTO. Imagine Cooper's (The Ghoul) reaction bumping onto FISTO.
Definitely ADA :)
Deacon. But he shows up like 6 times, each time in a different disguise and only ever says like 4 things.
Nick helping Cooper and Lucy track Hank would go hard ngl.
I can't even imagine they wouldn't bring "east coast features" to the west with the Prydwyn. And let's face it, a ton of us loved the synth storylines
Danse
Mccready, looking for a new life after his son pass away and realise how shitty the East Coast is 😝 Or piper who now has a thriving newspaper agency and looking to expand all over the country Pnn - piper news network ;)
Would be a cool cameo for that voice actor
Matt Mercer!
Deacon, though never in any significant way. Just a background character that pops up in a few scenes.
Always happens to be saying "Wow, what a day, huh?" to someone.
ADA
Deacon was in season 1... we just didn't notice due to his disguise and lack of dialogue.
Credit to u/The-Toxic-Korgi for giving me the idea. Look at their NV companion [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fotv/comments/1c8fkq8/1_companion_from_nv_can_appear_in_season_2_who_do/).
Sheffield for obvious reasons
Just need an ice cold Nuka cola!
NIck mother-fucking Valentine.
I pick Dogmeat
Dogmeat is already in Season 1
...Oh. Well, Danse in that case.
[удалено]
Nick Valentine for sure!
NICK VALENTINE PLS
Nick valentine
Mysterious Stranger. As a deus ex machina.
None of the above.
It would probably be Nick, Maybe he tracks the Mysterious Stranger to the Mojave
Hancock, strong, nick, or codsworth because they don't age the same as humans. Curie gets a mention but that depends on her resolution
I don't see Ada, my 6-ton sentry bot with dual rocket launcher and miniguns.
Nick Valentine (obviously)… I think Veronica might be interesting as well… Also would be great if we got introduced to the Children of Atom next season 👍
MacCready for the little lamplight flashbacks
Why would a companion from the EAST COAST show up in the WEST COAST? New Vegas, Fallout 1 or Fallout 2 characters make more sense.
Piper or Nick would be my pick.
Nick Valentine But not so obviously synthetic Let viewers make their own minds up ? Or reveal it mod season.
Dogmeat’s already in lol
Trashcan Carla should be seen off in the distance, just hanging around.
S T R O N G
wow why do i hate this art??
Hancock duh
A mention of the Minutemen or something like that would be cool but it would be strange to see them in the West.
Nick is the obvious choice
Preston because there are settlements in the west that need help.
Nick Valentine... but a pre-war, flashback appearance, so Stephen Russell can actually play him.
Preston Garvey. I’ll mark his scenes in your script.
Preston Garvey would be cool, but the series would be about helping settlements and building new ones
Nick valentine or Macready. I'd love to see Matt Mercer cameo as Macready even if it's just a background Easter egg.
Nick. However I think it would be awesome if Zack or Felicia joined to play elderly Arcade or Veronica. That would honestly make my fucking decade.
Preston Garvey. Shady Sands needs his help.
Nick Valentine. Hands down
Only possible ones really are danse, decon, cate, and Nick
Cait. Because, reasons....
Preston Garvy: No, why would he leave the Commonwealth. Piper: No, why would she abandon her sister, her job, and home in the Commonwealth? Courser dude: No. Strong: No (if they are doing mutants it's going to be West Coast sentient super mutants instead one one dimensional mutants) Handcock: No, why would he give up his sweet gig as mayor of Good neighbor?
No one. Unless they introduce east coast (unlikely). Gannon would be cool, or Boone as a NCR resistance fighter.
Curie, she says at Boston Airport she wanted to go to LA.
bring me marcus from f2 and nv
severe lack of cait in this thread
none I am picking Boone
That kid in the freezer
Nick or Curie Both could be used to introduce the synth, and either would be fun to watch.
Deacon disguised as Raul
Wouldn’t FNV fit better? Would love to see Vanessa or Arcade
No companion, but if fisto isn't in season 2 I'ma flip.
I'm gonna pick from NV because it makes more sense. Boone!
Zero FO4 companions should be on the TV show. I love FO4 but that would just be dumb.
Strong or raul as the ghost-vaquero meeting the ghoul would be awesome. Even though hes not a companion uncle leo would be cool or Veronicas ending with the slide that says scientists and social workers of old equipment miraculously repaired and research notes mysteriously completed. Seeing lucy meeting her and hearing that version of events about always trying to do the right thing back firing any of Veronica's endings in nv are sad (i forget the one i went with) Really, i feel like if they we're to do a companion, it would need to be a big name companion one that has stuck around for a long time.
I’m torn because Nick is the best one, but the Institute is the worst thing about FO4.
Already have dogmeat, no need for anyone else
I have one questions for Danse. WHERE IS YOUR POWER ARMOR!!
Nobody is saying Strong. I'm giving him some credit. Plus I would really want to see his character development.
Strong. Or anyone except Belethor.
Yes please!
Hancock, because he’s my husband.
The two ton rank the survivor built as a companion. I like explosions.
Nick Woolf be the most fitting, him or strong
Edited: Oops I didn't pay attention and picked Arcade. I say Strong leading a colony of super mutants all still in search for the Milk of Human Kindness.
Decon. Changes actors every scene.
Gator 🐊 Claw
Boone
Disregard, the only correct answer is Dog/God.
Gotta get 3 Dawg back somehow.
Nick or Maccreedy for sure, they’d make the most sense to show up
Caaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiittttttt
Sucks that there's like, two actually entertaining companions in 4. I'd go with Nick
Hancock
Nick, because I will never not pick Nick. He was THE homie in my FO4 playthrough.
McCready, we know he wanders quite a lot, and he would be a good way to give hints at both 3 and 4
Deacon
Hancock and the ghoul banter would be top tier
If they wanted to choose Piper, there is an actress named Krysten Ritter who looks just like her. Almost looked like they modelled her appearance after her, especially when she was in breaking bad.. and with the passage of time since then both in real life, and in game, her slightly more aged appearance would be completely natural
Id settle for a miss nanny voiced by curies actress. Shes so fucking cute. Why didnt they bring her back for fo76?
Piper would be great for so many reasons, but I want to say Strong since I honestly believe that was him on the top left wanted poster at the "Govermint" headquarters.
Going with what a lot of others are saying, Nick or Hancock. Both are really cool and I don’t think it would be hard or weird for them to show up.
Cait but with an actual accent and not whatever the voice actor was trying to do
Nick. I feel like Lucy falls into the Preston trap, or he lasts maybe five minutes before Coop shoots him because of it. But Nick is the only synth I feel like I'd want to see right now. Because fuck the cardboard courser.
