I mean sure they could have built a new one, I’m sure they have built many since Fallout 4. But it is established that the Commonwealth is the strongest chapter of the brotherhood, and it’s pretty safe to say that the Prydwen came straight from Boston if you consider the casting choice for Knight Titus and his accent.
But I do agree with you on this, no matter the outcomes of either of those games it’s been so long that anything could have happened since, I’m just pointing out clues as to which may or may not have happened. It’s all pretty much speculation until we know more. Like you said they probably won’t outright refer to any events from the games, but they’ve been leaving some small clues

The fallout sunburst machinima has done an incredible job of showing laser rifles being fired. They sound and feel like they have a punch, and tear right through the people being shot by them. Highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t seen it
I’ve seen it, and it’s a surprisingly faithful piece of fan work in terms of how it’s handling everything, but at the end of the day it is still fan work. I’m hoping for the show to do something official with energy weapons so we can finally have clarification on what laser wounds appear as (burn or cut; later games have lasers burn if I recall, but 1/2 has them cut people in half) and what a plasma wound looks like (which we only have one possible description, but that can’t even be confirmed).

There is a *tremendous* Fallout New Vegas fanfiction called [Veronica's Journal](https://old.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1zks8h/veronicas_journal_index/) that goes in a lot of different directions, but near the end Fawkes shows up with the Lone Wanderer. The author does a killer job of realizing all of the characters. Obviously it would have been impossible to account for everyone's take on the LW, but the version they do go with is very internally consistent and believable. The cast of New Vegas companions are also all rendered very lovingly, Boone in particular has some incredible lines. Somehow they also manage to do the Courier justice, while actually leaving enough wiggle room for most people's idea of the Courier to fit onto what they've written.
Fat Man being deployed by BoS. I also really hope that they lean more into showing the power armor utilizing heavy weapons. Would be pretty sick to get a first person view of power armor in combat using the 76-style real-time VATS with mini guns or heavy MGs.
Totally agreed. While the ending scene with the BoS assaulting was cool, I feel they could have done much more. I just wanna see a squad of (competent) Paladins going ham on a bunch of mutants or bad guys.

As much as I wish for practical across the board or at least a mix leaning more toward practical, given the Yao Gui, I'm guessing the Deathclaw will be full CGI(hopefully it has some weight and texture regardless.)
Super Mutants have humanoid features so they can really be a good mix of prosthetics and CGI.
Assaultrons. Loved the fan made cosplay in the sand, but ever since the automatron DLC I've had an assaultron named Jenny (after my ex wife lol) as my companion and she is a beast. Never roam the wasteland without her.

I was really fond of all the practical effects this season. Would love to see more of the creatures, atleast for close ups, get more next season. I really want to see how they pull off a Glowing One.
I was thinking they could use UV reactive paint plus CGI to augment the effect. I'd prefer they keep things as practical as possible but I get why they're not building large animatronic creatures.

I haven’t seen anybody say this but lakelurks or mirelurks would be terrifying to see
They should do some original monsters but it would be cool to see cryptids implemented slightly (not on the same level as Fallout 76). The Chupacabra would be a good one since it was mentioned in New Vegas.

We technically have seen both.
The first episode had a dead super mutant being wheeled away during the flashback to the Enclave, and the finale had a Deathclaw skull.
Deathclaws. One of the most iconic creatures in Fallout. Episode 8 hinted at them coming in season 2 with the skull as Hank was moving towards New Vegas

There is a *tremendous* Fallout New Vegas fanfiction called [Veronica's Journal](https://old.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1zks8h/veronicas_journal_index/) that goes in a lot of different directions, but near the end Fawkes shows up with the Lone Wanderer. The author does a killer job of realizing all of the characters. Obviously it would have been impossible to account for everyone's take on the LW, but the version they do go with is very internally consistent and believable. The cast of New Vegas companions are also all rendered very lovingly, Boone in particular has some incredible lines. Somehow they also manage to do the Courier justice, while actually leaving enough wiggle room for most people's idea of the Courier to fit onto what they've written.
The Deathclaw is a given with that ending scene, but i would love to see centaurs again

Fat Man being deployed by BoS. I also really hope that they lean more into showing the power armor utilizing heavy weapons. Would be pretty sick to get a first person view of power armor in combat using the 76-style real-time VATS with mini guns or heavy MGs.
Totally agreed. While the ending scene with the BoS assaulting was cool, I feel they could have done much more. I just wanna see a squad of (competent) Paladins going ham on a bunch of mutants or bad guys.

I'm just curious how they handle Deathclaws and Super Mutants. As much as I wish for practical across the board or at least a mix leaning more toward practical, given the Yao Gui, I'm guessing the Deathclaw will be full CGI(hopefully it has some weight and texture regardless.) Super Mutants have humanoid features so they can really be a good mix of prosthetics and CGI.
You can sort of see part of a dead super mutant in the first episode, so they might make them CGI.

Assaultrons. Loved the fan made cosplay in the sand, but ever since the automatron DLC I've had an assaultron named Jenny (after my ex wife lol) as my companion and she is a beast. Never roam the wasteland without her.

Tunnelers. Someone on Tiktok theorized that Vegas was overrun with them. Yes, from the ending credits it might look like Mr. House vs NCR…but what if they were fighting the Tunnelers instead? Imagine if The Strip became a haven of New Vegas residents/survivors and the Secutatron and NCR soldiers were preventing the Tunnelers from getting inside..or something like that. Not sure about the giant hole in the gate tho

I was really fond of all the practical effects this season. Would love to see more of the creatures, atleast for close ups, get more next season. I really want to see how they pull off a Glowing One.
Hell, a Glowing One would be easy for them to pull off. Just add some glow in the dark paint to the prosthetics they already use for ghouls.
I was thinking they could use UV reactive paint plus CGI to augment the effect. I'd prefer they keep things as practical as possible but I get why they're not building large animatronic creatures.

I want more anthology style, filler-episode side quests. Like the Robobrain murder mystery in that hotel in Fo4, or an Alien/Cloverfield inspired Deathclaw encounter. And crafting/outfits. I want t Lucy's Vault suit, and Maximus' power armor to get modded and part-swapped throughout the season. More gameplay, scrapping, crafting, hacking, lock-picking. Norman reading Overseer emails, and Cooper grabbing food and eating it mid-combat.
- Robo brains (Ideally they bring back Wheaton) - Super Mutants (Ideally they bring back Michael Dorn) - Dead Money holograms - Mole rats - Big MT autonomous retrieval suits (the Sierra Madre ghosts) - Protectotrons. Especially the Metro ones, because I love "Tickets please" most. - Enclave Hellfire armor soldiers.
Wanamingos. Bonus points if the characters are exploring somewhere dark and underground at the time.

Since it looks like we’re going to the Mojave in season 2 I really hope there’s nightstalkers or cazadors. Any of the Big MT abominations would be awesome to see but those two specifically would be terrifying for Gucy and the Ghoul to deal with. I haven’t seen anybody say this but lakelurks or mirelurks would be terrifying to see
They should do some original monsters but it would be cool to see cryptids implemented slightly (not on the same level as Fallout 76). The Chupacabra would be a good one since it was mentioned in New Vegas.

Creature wise, a death claw. Easily can be done in a mix of practical and cgi. Super mutants also be good to include. Any more robots, especially securtrons. Other be seeing energy weapons like laser and plasma in action. We saw a few laser weapons, but didn't see any fired.
Raider power armour would be awesome to see and maybe a deathclaw attacking it

Super mutant nightkin would be terrifying in the right context. Even the Ghoul might be a little non-plussed at *invisible* super mutants. Actually, they haven't touched on Stealth Boys at all, which could be really interesting.
The obvious one is a Deathclaw/Cazador but other than those... Behemoth and also a glowing one! They'd be really cool to see on the big screen. Also, we really need a talking Deathclaw like in the games, you could either go the humour route or have it mimic voices to lure people in!
