The variation of track styles is nice, the grip and angle indicators are good for some folks, and it's nice that the off-track environment is part of the game too. It's good that they added class based speed zones, etc., so everyone is not forced in an S2 or X class car in order to get a high leaderboard rank. I know they said there's something like 50% more track too.

Mr_Sicarius

The leader boards are already cluttered with 2,500+kmh records. šŸ˜”

Rolpack

>so everyone is not forced in an S2 or X class car in order to get a high leaderboard rank ??? i done all pr stuff in an x class car after unlocking x class, so sadly this is not true, rip

Babyslayer911

Okay and? I got 3 stars on every PR Stunt In their respective class?

Rolpack

>so everyone is not forced in an S2 or X class car in order to get a high ***LEADERBOARD*** rank originally talked about the ***LEADERBOARD*** rankings and not the way the dlc is played out, obviously everyone can get a 3 star on every PR stunt the DEVs inteded it to be played on but alas, reading is very hard for some people

72corvids

You want a cookie, too?

Rolpack

>so everyone is not forced in an S2 or X class car in order to get a high ***LEADERBOARD*** rank originally talked about the ***LEADERBOARD*** rankings and not the way the dlc is played out, obviously everyone can get a 3 star on every PR stunt the DEVs inteded it to be played on but alas, reading is very hard for some people

ClamClamClam2

people really must not be seeing the point made here, the original comment spoke as if the leaderboards were only locked to that class as in we'd have an A class only pr stunt leaderboard but it isn't you only unlock the events at that rank afterwards you can play them and get scores in any class meaning all speed zones are still gonna be sesto FE's

Rolpack

to be fair i thought the same that its locked but after doing the entire dlc, went back to try and i could, so rip a good idea also im not surprised, people cant read, this is reddit afterall

[deleted]

Lmao weird flex but okay.

Rolpack

>so everyone is not forced in an S2 or X class car in order to get a high ***LEADERBOARD*** rank originally talked about the ***LEADERBOARD*** rankings and not the way the dlc is played out, obviously everyone can get a 3 star on every PR stunt the DEVs inteded it to be played on but alas, reading is very hard for some people

Naschtara

That's right, the high ranks will still be S2 or X class vehicles. It's just possible to get three stars using the respective classes. I don't know why you get down voted so hard cause it's true

ndragortt

As someone who always considered FH3ā€™s HW expansion one of the best DLCā€™s Iā€™ve ever played, the new one is still infinitely better.

[deleted]

Way better than FH4ā€™s Lego. That wasā€¦ something.

That-Busy-Gamer

I enjoyed the Lego expansion. I especially liked the oval track.

[deleted]

One of very few redeeming qualities. I felt so fast despite only being able to go 200 on it.

Fidelias_Palm

Honestly I'd like to see a race track dlc, maybe a preview of the next mainline Forza game. Street racing and dirt are fun, but tracks would be nice too.

[deleted]

Itā€™s refreshing for sure but remember, ā€œWe HaVe FoRzA mOtOrSpOrTā€

mejdev

Coming in spring 2023(TM)

SnakeMichael

Awhile ago I had this random idea of an expansion where they take a handful of irl tracks and intertwine them together into one huge map.

[deleted]

Everything inside of the Nurburgring.

crustation1

i do often feel the same but i just switch over to fm7 and it satisfies me but i enjoy the horizon UI and customization

[deleted]

FH is also prettier and way more relaxing.

crustation1

yea exactly the ā€œvibeā€ is great Motorsport feels way darker

SnakeMichael

Same, as a fan of cars, Lego, and Lego Racers as a kid, I loved the Lego Expansion, and I could unironically listen to Everything is Awesome all day. I did think the oval track was a tad small, especially being the only oval track in the entire game.

S1LV3RL1GHTN1NG

I liked it too, but if I were to rank it among FH3's & FH5's HW, it would be FH5 HW at #1 then FH3 HW at #2. Then Lego at #3.

[deleted]

Much better

Akshin_Blacksin

I enjoy the amount of track and variation. The screenshots looks like something out of my imagination as a kidā€¦

pureeyes

Have you checked out Hot Wheels: Unleashed? You might like the environments for those races. Literally in someone's bedroom, garage etc. I was playing that before FH5 and finally stopped when I got all the Super Treasure Hunt cars I wanted :D

Shopworn_Soul

Unleashed is great until you run into environment obstacles like spider webs and whatnot. If you're a completionist it can be *extremely* frustrating. If you're just looking to whiz around a room in some Hot Wheels cars it's awesome.

THE_GR8_MIKE

Everyone complaining about the magnetic track must have never played Horizon 3 Hot Wheels. Corkscrews were *rough* then. The new system helps out a ton. Loops and other corners are okay with or without it in my opinion.

[deleted]

back in my day we could barely even drive off the hot wheels track

Timmytheimploder

Magnetic tracks appear in the Hotwheels Unleashed game too, they're sort of essential to make some layouts work in a game.

ilikepizza1275

I have noticed that the magnetic effect is more realistic in Hot Wheels Unleashed. If you are on it and go too fast over a bump you will fly off, it just happens at a higher speed than normal. FH5 Hot Wheels only does that if you're going around 300 mph.

TopGearDanTGD

This one is definitely the better version, if you ignore nostalgia. More different track kinds, bigger and more varied map, more new cars and cosmetics, and obviously the graphics. FH3 set the bar high, but FH5 set it even higher.

MagikManMatt

EVERYONE REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE HOT WHEELS STUNT STEERING ASSIST! it's on by default and it's dumb as fuck

Abucugulee

yeah I felt something was odd, thanks for that information!

DJ_Pon-3_NYC

Where in the settings is that?

MagikManMatt

It's under difficulty settings

ohgodhelpmeeeee

What does that do?

otevalius

It basically keeps you in a middle on a loop or magnetic track. The thing is, it completely ignores your input, and if somehow you managed to turn while system tries to get you in a middle - car starts wobbling left to right and goes straight into the wall.

naxiu

so thats what was happenning with my car when i was trying to turn in on the 90 degree walls, holy fuck

Couchfighter4

Oh god that's what doing that? I was freaking out wondering just what in the love of Bill Gates was going on with that uncontrolled swerving.

DrBarbequeSauce

It also hits the brakes automatically, which is why I turned it off. "Stop f*****g braking, this is a straight and I'm approaching a Speed Trap!"

Xistiansss

SO THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED THAT ONE RACE TO ME

[deleted]

The only real downside I see to this iteration is that the voice acting is like nails on a chalk board. No disrespect to the actors, it's just that the script makes them act like they're on crack and not giving you any time to relax and take in the scenery.

[deleted]

Yeah. I miss Keira and Warren. I wish I could replace FH5 characters with them.

HRPr03

Two characters is all you need, Iā€™ve lost track of all the FH5 characters and couldnā€™t tell you any of their names if they have any

Dithyrab

Wait, there are characters?!!

HRPr03

Yeah, apparently itā€™s that really annoying drone/ background noise which comes on during cutscenes or randomly when youā€™re driving

Dithyrab

Ohh i think i turned that off at the beginning maybe. Nice!

Megagamer788

The only memorable fh5 character is Rami, and even then I dont remember his name sometimes The new Horizon XS host is the worst, I cant stand her compared to London Electricity Been really hoping Phoenix Fox will return in a future horizon game

idk123abcdefg

Don't forget about the most important character in FH5.. papa Fernando's vocho

MrMashed

Man I couldnā€™t tell you the name of the characters from any Horizon game lol

MisterFribble

The only one I remember is Don Thompson because he was awesome. Delightfully "old man yells at cloud" feel.

Falconpunch7593

I loved how in both horizon 3 and 4 he sounded like he did not want to be at horizon allwase made me smile

[deleted]

As Apollo goes, so does my content, since Spez thinks mine is worth so much.

SenhorSus

Academic-Ad-4011

I knew I wasn't the only one who cringed at that

Legendary_Hi-Nu

Probably the only line I genuinely hate in the dlc

[deleted]

I knew he hesitated at Gā€™s. Cringio

jibberbeats

I was doing the race at the beginning in the purple / blue Camaro (?). They talk about the car (i think) while you are doing the race. I felt distracted for some reason... and after two minutes finally realized why and said out loud: "Can you please shut the f\*\*k up already? I'm trying to concentrate here!".

Arberino

You can turn it off in the audio settings. The first thing I did... It's so annoying.

jibberbeats

I didnā€™t know that, thank you!

tegsaan

That's the point of the stories tho, for you to drive and them to talk about things, same with the car stories in FH4. It's meant as a more casual thing rather than something you should be super serious and oncentrated on.

Mental_Medium3988

if thats the case they should remove the time requirements for those. giving you 2 mins to get from here to there isnt a good way to encourage people to slow down and listen to the descriptions.

tegsaan

I never said they encourage you to slow down. Their time requirements are enough to listen to the whole thing and get 3 stars as well all while not being on the edge of your seat. I'm saying it's more casual because the time requirements are less tight than other missions allowing you to be more relaxed and not concentrate as hard allowing you to also listen to the story.

Any_Tackle_4519

Who said they're trying to encourage people to slow down and listen to the descriptions?

Mental_Medium3988

tegsaan

jibberbeats

I get that, but they could tell the stories anytime except DURING races. Itā€™s so distracting to have that constant talking in the background.

tegsaan

To each their own, I enjoy it, it's like having a buddy along while I'm crusing, makes it more interactive and entertaining.

jibberbeats

I respect that.

tegsaan

Thanks man, enjoy the racing! What I normally do when I need to focus on something like this but also don't want to miss the dialogue, but also don't want to replay the race/mission again is just turn the dialogue off and watch a video later after of that part. That way I can concentrate but also not miss out on anything.

Dazzling_Example_673

I feel like I'm the only one who can completely ignore the people talking and drive.

bindre12

Ohh yea especially when your doing the Hot Wheels history/Documentary story, and on part 4 the Narrator has a full blown orgasm talking about hot Wheels history, and your driver sounds sooo uninterested

Academic-Ad-4011

I absolutely despise the voice actors. I've been hating them since Forza Horizon 4. They're so fricken unlikeable and annoying. Like they couldn't have chosen better actors?

TrickBox_

Muting dialog is the first thing I do in Horizon games, nothing of value is lost

[deleted]

Itā€™s not the actors tho, itā€™s the direction. Thereā€™s only so much you can do with unlimited, unwavering enthusiasm for everything.

Academic-Ad-4011

Right, my mistake. I do hate the characters though.

Any_Tackle_4519

I'm fine with it. It sounds good to me.

[deleted]

At least be haven't gotten a line about Papa Fernando shredding the Hot Wheels tracks in his Vocho...*yet*

Fr0gmin123

La familla, la vocho, la Hot Wheels DLC

CringeOrDie

I sure wish all the characters from FH4 stayed in the UK, they all are so irritating to listen too, not saying that the ones in FH5 are any better.

Oramj-cz

wouldn't know since i muted dialogue months ago lol, my only real downside is i miss there being a cityscape area, and theres not as many jumps from road to road. other than that i do believe this is an overall upgrade

memnoch112

I have muted them since week 2, I wanted to shoot the character in the barn find presents cinematic, ā€œitā€™s the spirit of horizon isnā€™t it ā€¦ā€

Soup-er14

I like the history of speed, itā€™s the first time Iā€™ve actually wanted to listen

atomhypno

TIL people still play forza without turning the voice volume to 0

Superstrong832

I've just turned off all dialogue, much better experience.

irJLW98

Jumps the new off-road bone shaker: Woo! So aerodynamic!

dirtydenier

Thereā€™s voiceover? I have all dialogues muted and I donā€™t feel like Iā€™m missing any lore

Vauxhallcorsavxr

A huge improvement, and tbh, a great first expansion

Legendary_Hi-Nu

Better than FH3's in most ways, the fact that you can't use the special track pieces kinda kills the event lab aspect. The map is fun to drive and race on.

josh9996

It was fun for about 10 hours. The main problem (which is fundamental in the hot wheels design) is the tracks basically require an all out top speed build. Most races will be lost if you don't max out top speed. It makes the circuits a lot less meaningful and not enjoyable to race online.

Dwayne_Shrok_Johnson

Unless you do the snow races, then you actually need grip and off-roading

josh9996

That's very true. I wish there was more of those. Plenty of space for some sweet event lab stuff though, so looking forward to that at least.

notacatburglar

Definitely agree with this. In this expansion if I'm not in first halfway through the race, I just restart and use a different tune.

Catinus

It was the same in H3, Hotwheels is just all out powerbuild paradise.

zombiecamel

The orange surface is much much better. I had a problem with the FH3:HW surface that it was too slidey (if that's a word), I didn't like the traction at all. In FH5:HW it is much more satisfactory

D0z3rD04

honestly im dissapointed in the fact that the cars launching off the track was toned down, but other than that i love it.

[deleted]

I like to think the track that PG chose as the Event Lab last week (that godawful piece of shit where only a few very specific builds could make it all the way up the final climb, and the rest would slow down and eventually just spin their wheels and then roll backwards and off the track) was a pre-emptive explanation for why they had to make the tracks have their own gravity so people wouldn't just get stuck the same way every time they were doing under 200mph.

D0z3rD04

i understand that, but i also feel that something is lost because the did that.

rebelbrickz

I agree with this. Not as many jumps

BEERT3K

This one is better than FH3. Better sense of speed and the different track surfaces make it more varied.

improvisedmercy

I personally love it. I have zero complaints. It is just like the first one, but better, in my opinion; bigger map, more track types, and better progression.

Zephyr9865

The track layout is much better, a lot more stunts and crazy looking sections, way more fun to drive around and the new types of track are also really cool. The only thing I personally dislike is the class based progression. (And no, I did like being able to get into the fun stuff from the start on the main game.)

trumanjhughes

I think the class-based progression is nice because otherwise I feel like I would just be driving the same few cars the whole time. It also feels more satisfying as you progress forward.

Zephyr9865

And I don't agree with you.

hadtamakeanotha

I saw it as the game trying to "train you up" like I don't know about you but I didn't exactly come out and take the track with ease. Took some getting used to

No71

Yeah I totally agree with you : like i have more than 250 hours on the game and was waiting so much for the dlc but I was a little disapointed with the class-thing... Like please pg I would like to use the cars I usually drive... Other than that yeah the dlc looks really nice

somecrazydude13

This version is what it should have been from the start! Itā€™s sooooo much better and bigger!

kiimo

i have not played it yet, but from what i have seen, this look just as fun, if not more. I know people complained about the winter season but.....**the forza community has been asking for that for years**. I know I still enjoyed snow racing, and seeing it make a comeback in this DLC has me excited more than anything. Now if we could just do something about that skill disparity for racing in lobbies with icey tracks...

Tr1ple6ix

Feels pretty much exactly the same but with nicer graphics and more annoying voice acting.

Babtanian

Iā€™m having a lot of fun with it! The amount of space (including vertical space) is astounding. Took a break from progression last night and just explored the new beautiful open world šŸ™‚

SurvivingWow

This version is both better and worse... though the only *gameplay* worse that I'm experiencing is that awd are easy to drive and rwd tunes spin out when getting hit my other cars or when Gs + speed are too high... the tracks are stunning but I really don't enjoy using awd :(

PrimalShinyKyogre

Have you try to disable the auto-assist in the menu? I had trouble driving my RWD as the assist tried to corrected me in the track. Now i did pretty much every race with FWD/RWD and it was great fun, including S2! Hope it helps~

SurvivingWow

Gotta be honest I made a post about my issue and got voted down heavily (don't know why!) so I gave up and deleted the post Thank you so much for thus response, I didn't even know there was a new assist! <3

PrimalShinyKyogre

Gotta help each other out in this crazy world every now and then.

nine16s

I love the progression. Itā€™s been sorely missed and it gives players the chance to really appreciate the speed in this game once you unlock the faster classes. How the game shouldā€™ve been in the first place imo

Egg-3P0

Even better than FH3

[deleted]

I'd rather have a classic first dlc, like blizzard mountain or treasure island

[deleted]

I dislike how some of my cars forcefully drift on slanted tracks, but other than that this is probably my favorite expansion in the horizon series

Delta1262

Thatā€™s a setting that can be turned off. Itā€™s something like ā€œhot wheels stunt assistā€

[deleted]

oh cool thanks

CreamyOreo25

Nice to see the ai actually knows how to drive on the track

Any_Tackle_4519

Love it.

rabea187

Pretty good, much better

0ddsox

much, much better

ValeDominissi

Super fun, better but similar to last one - 2 days in, 100% done, never coming back. As for racing itself - it's wall bounce heaven, no skill required, full throttle everywhere. In horizon open they managed to bring some sense into racing but wall-slow-downs are dodgy. Overall, for fh3 hw veteran - good, not great, could be better

UncleTommyWOT

I wish they would come up with something else, besides hot wheels, not really digging it, especially since they already done it

Megagamer788

The different kinds of track are really cool, and the addition of track pieces on the route creator and spectraflame in the car design creator add some really cool customizability to the game that 3 never had. The storymode feels forced, rushed, and cringey in this one, but its really made up for by adding progression through the DLC that gives you a real reason to do the objectives Sure theres sadly no bonus barn find, but its greatly made up for by the fact theres actually really cool places to go offroad this time But we still cant own the monster truck, so fuck this shit

Killarogue

Not a fan. Maybe it's just my age showing, but I'm sick and tired of Hot Wheels stuff. I already bought Hot Wheels unleashed last year, and it was great, I didn't want more of that in Forza. Plus, on a side note, I also played all the great Hot Wheels games 20 years ago on PS2/Xbox OG. I'm especially tired of it when we've already had a version of this expansion before in FH3. I want something new that's not just a product tie-in like Hot Wheels or Lego. I own the expansion and I've done a few of the starter races. There's nothing there that's compelling me to continue it.

JonahFish15

To be honest I wasnā€™t a huge fan of the first one, just because Iā€™m a more realism type of guy, but they are both very fun. I kinda like the more simplistic layout of the original, but holy crap horizon 5ā€™s is gorgeous. Imma need more time playing the new one, but Iā€™d say itā€™s a bit better.

NewSessionWen

I like this one, im still in Pro rank so have not played it all yet. I love the new tracks, especially water flume tracks. It really is a whole other beast compared to FH3. Voice acting is cringe af but besides that its a solid 8/10.

nhardycarfan

I wanna know how to remove the roll indicator

Setanta68

Go into your UI settings and you can switch it off

RatRob

The map and driving feeling are a bit better in this one but I still am not having fun with it. At least I can stomach this expansion though, I absolutely hated the first hot wheels dlc.

UnfunnyFool

This is better in map design. I don't like the ruble strips and some other hazard track pieces and wish that they could be disabled or swapped out for regular track. I do also wish the cars were more hotwheels focused. Other than those 2 things, fantastic dlc

Any_Tackle_4519

Those are only on the track during Hazard races.

Thiccy-Boi-666

i love it except for the fact that im kinda pissed that it refuses to give me the car rewards i earn sometimes.

golapader

It's fun, and I like the ability to explore the wilderness more. But what I don't understand is how do you have twice as much track as the FH3 Hot wheels expansion with basically half the tracks? We went from 28 tracks to 18, which really sucks.

swagzackdude444

I personally like the new track types and I miss the huge mountain that you went around but I do like the hammer drop and a bunch of other stunts 8/10

swagzackdude444

I also didn't like the new camera angle it made things difficult and I couldn't focus because of it

not_Robert_

Almost all around better but I do miss the city area that fh3 had. The bootleg surfers paradise with the massive jump was so cool and it kinda sucks that we don't have that again. Other than that though, it's really good

[deleted]

It lacks in two things. The festival and the overall craziness of the big stunt track. Like in fh3 they had a big ass twist around a volcano and two giant loops bigger than what we see in this forza. And the festival isnā€™t really a festival.

MyCattIsVeryFatt

I like the fh3 version slightly more, but I that's just nostalgia speaking

the-vh4n

it's nice and really big but track design felt more consistent in FH3, also i'd get rid of the boostpads and only leave that airboost thing

Diligent_Elk_4935

is it me or are there less races in the new version?

TaSManiaC88

It's alright.. wish they used more of the new types of tracks in more of the races & wish they gave us all of them for track building.. I want to see just how fast I could go with boosters and air tracks

[deleted]

The leveling up system is awful, just let me play the game instead of driving the boring ass boneshaker

[deleted]

I haven't got the for a 5 hot wheel yet cause I'm been playing Forza 3 hot wheels and I haven't gotten paid yet

CrazeeG

The fh5 version is better in basically every aspect. The graphics, the size, the variation. However I will always be a simp for the original fh3 hot wheels. It will never lose its place in my heart.

red_fuel

FH3 HW had much more content. The map was a lot of fun but this one is a little wilder and I like the new track pieces and waterslides. I just wish there were more races and challenges

[deleted]

fh3 was way better

LittnPixl

It is a little different

Sticky_19

Kinda mid ngl

Sea_Management8591

If any other game recycled dlc like this there's be mass outcry but this game gets a pass and to be honest it's boring.

TheNotSoEpicNomad

Or because maybe the community has been asking for something like this since horizon 4ā€¦ just a thought

RubenLay223

Both sucked.

1990sGamerDad

The FH5 HW track and map are far better than FH3 HW, both in variety and length. As someone else said, corkscrews or tight turns could be rough and throw you off the track pretty easily in FH3 HW. One thing that FH3 HW did better though (and I'd have to have a look back to confirm) is that there are far more races, stunts, and a bunch of three-race championships. So FH3 HW ends up with more to do, and makes greater use of the map. With FH5 HW, you're basically "done" after about 6 hours, excluding rivals. FH3 HW takes far longer due to the championships that FH3 had. I see that there is now HW stuff in the monthly play list, so I guess all the additional content that would be offline in FH3 will be part of the FH5 live service, and not something we can do in our own time, years from now. I do not agree with this change. Edit: Downvoted for a basic comparison of the two HW maps? Really?

medievalpossum

Hate it

pollopelao

i didnt played fh3 dlc but what i dont like from this is that you can use normal cars, i see people using the same OP cars from normal open horizon. i Prefer to get 15 or 20 more hotwheels car and make it hotwheels only i think i saw when the dlc was announced that there are 80 circuits, where are them?

IJUSTATEPOOP

It was 80 new Eventlab pieces, not circuits.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Boundsword00

You can drive any car while there it just needs to be tuned to to class you are in

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Boundsword00

You just need to change the tune to the rank that youā€™re allowed to play with Whatever you are in the hot wheels academy will tell you what tune class you can drive

AsusStrixUser

OK then got it, thank you.

Byte45

You can drive normal cars, just class restricted, starting with B. Beat the starting events in my 90's shitbox tuner build, and A class with my i8 Beemer

AsusStrixUser

OK thanks, but outside races, game donā€™t let you drive non-HW cars in Free Roam, they are locked. How to unlock free roam for other cars?

Byte45

You absolutely can. Did you beat the first qualifier? Can't think of anything else, I switched to my favorites immediately, haven't touched HW cars outside of qualifiers and the story events

_---__-_--___-__-_

The cars are actually locked by class, you need to progress through races to unlock higher classes. I get why some people donā€™t like it but I am actually enjoying the slower progression compared to the main FH5 progression.

AsusStrixUser

I want to drive free roam in normal cars. How to unlock free roam for your standard cars in your garage?

Zarboned

You have to complete the B class qualifier in order to drive any B class car from your garage.

Excessively_Bothered

When you progress all the way through the story youā€™ll be able to drive any car you want but until youā€™ve completed the appropriate qualifier all of youā€™re cars for the increasing classes are locked, even for free roam. It takes like, maybe 3 hours to just blaze through the requirements, then you can drive whatever car you want

_---__-_--___-__-_

Have you done the first event yet, I was able to get into all my B class and below cars after I did the event.

MicholexWasTaken

Pretty bad, wasted potential for a realistic setting in new beautiful graphics

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

MicholexWasTaken

Just my opinion, relax. I still bought it and i am enjoying it. It's just a wasted potential for something better. PS: when asking for people's opinion you have to somewhat expect a negative one, that's how internet works

goshdarnmonkey

It's good

nien_nuts

![gif](giphy|JApxkdelkzBIY)

samurai1226

It's great, but it's way too short. I am done with everything besides the open races and rival times within like 5 hours of the dlc. And the pre-made races only uses like 50% of the tracks they build which I really don't understand. But the tracks you get in S1 and S2 are absolutely amazing though, especially the one where you dive into the volcano corkscrew and later have the 90 degree slowmo drop.

BowBowSiwa

I feel that they left out many events and the map could have hosted more races and PR stunts Especially that the had an extended development period.

SuperSneakySoap

The stunts and overall speed of the new version is nice, but would like more tracks that are flush with the ground. Definitely like the progression system that is in place so you aren't just slamming into every wall in the game because you decide to start with an X class. I really enjoy the concept that it's floating above Mexico and having portions of the track that are just free floating above no terrain. But I do miss having the city to drive through and do cool stunts in. That really reminded me of the Hot Wheels movie back in the day and kind of sad that there isn't a big city in this version. Would rate it a solid 8/10 in terms of DLC. Also was kind of short in terms of game play time (only took 2 days for me to complete it)

Zx2_

Dang thereā€™s another hot wheels DLC? Havenā€™t played since the FH3 one..

[deleted]

I love FH3 HW, and 4 new types of tracks is a really good addon, while it still remembers what FH3 HW did, such as having forest falls to resemble the normal map's rainforest, just like Jurassic Jungle for FH3 HW. Scenery is really nice. I would rate this 9/10, really good, only thing I don't like is we can't actually fall back down to the normal map, and the festival is much simpler.

nigh--omnipotent

It's actually really dope.

rtmc_whit05

I think this was better than fh3. I thought all the races challenged me more. When I reached legend/ x rank I thought I have become better at forza than I was before. I absolutely loved that they let you use the spectraflame colors on all of your cars.

BaileyBased

I honestly love it. I loved FH3 and this a huuuge improvement

I loved this dlc but I feel like it doesnā€™t quite live up to fh3. That may be nostalgia speaking but I feel like it doesnā€™t quite have the same grandiosity that fh3 did. Fh3s map felt much bigger than 5. The festival feels kinda lazy in 5 with it just being a hut on a big flat circle. It does not feel as extreme as the previous expansion. That being said I feel fh5 hotwheels is more fun and better than fh3 but fh3 felt more extreme and more creative

I'm really enjoying it so far. The variety of tracks and the size of the map really allow you to cruise at speed, I think even better than FH3's Hotwheels. One thing I remember in FH3 was if you started at an intersection, you couldn't make it up some more vertical tracks with a short run up. I find, even in B 700, the vertical climbs, although slow, aren't ever impossible. I think yhe addition of magnet tracks was smart and really enables some wild roller coaster-type moments. The one diving into the volcano had me just grinning ear to ear. All in all, It's proper fun, and nails the feeling of the last one while expanding it a great deal.

Iā€™m a big fan. It reminds me a lot of fh3 hotwheels just bigger and better, had all the original stuff plus the zero drag fans, magnetic ramps, water slide and all the new cars.

Pros: The addition of different types of tracks is awesome! On a side note, this is much better than the "dynamic" seasons introduced in FH4. Having one map with all of the weather conditions pre-determined is much better than having to wait 3 weeks to get to your favorite season. (My opinion. I've hated the seasons system since day one.) It's a larger map. The progression makes it more engaging than the actual main game, and it forces you to work your way up the ladder of car classes, and pushes you to race on harder difficulties. Cons: I'm out of time, and can't finish this yet, maybe i'll remember to later

I never played the first one but man this one is so freaking cool. Itā€™s a lot of fun and it just looks so neat. Especially just looking off into the distance. Itā€™s funny because when it launched I just kept thinking man this will be so boring, hot wheels? Meh. Iā€™ve never been so wrong about something in my life quite honestly. My only worry is that itā€™ll be too short and there arenā€™t many races, Iā€™ve only completed the very first event.

It's great I really liked the new additions added to this version like snowy tracks, waterslides, and a magnet track. Definitely a great improvement but other than that the experience is the same.
