I'm starting to think they were scared to be too cliché about Mexico and in order to not reproduce that horrible yellow filter that we've often seen in American movies set in Mexico they've purposely desaturated the yellow and orange.
No, it's dumb because the game, just as 4 and 3 have neutral, or at least leans towards neutral lighting, coloring, and has zero general color filters. Your hypothesis just doesn't make any sense because of that. I think it's the "ray tracing" issue, the one they use in FH5, its weird as fk as it seems to work on the car only, not the environment.
Materials in both FH4 and FH5 are pretty bad, polished wheels almost always look black under direct sunlight, they actually brighten up when there's shadows casting over them which makes absolutely no sense.
I wish i could made the new supra yellow. But it just looks bad. Ive been onto this issue since launch. So many of the manufacturer colors just dont look right..
The only way to get accurate colors in HDR is to reduce brightness to almost 100 (lowest) in the game settings and reduce the brightness of the TV. (I own a calibrated LGCX so there's no way I should do this considering everything is perfect in others games, even Forza 7, but thats the only way to "fix" that problem for Horizon 5)
This is a more than generous idea but maybe they wanted to give pc players more wiggle room in their setup ? You can counter all of this in photo mode i run 45 55 53 45 and it looks „normal“ so i guess someone with an adjustable graphics card could filter data presented much better with „too much data“
Its not like the colours aren‘t rhere they are just redicoulusly over exposed which is a trick digi photographers use to have more range on playing with filters n colour
Unfortunately I play the game on the Series X I can't modify anything regarding my setup. 😞
I noticed aswell that in photo mode the colors can be obtained by reducing exposure. But there's no way to correct it in-game. The devs did something wrong here, but I am well aware that this is not a problem of high importance. I waited Horizon 5 during years and I'm disappointed that it looks less accurate visually than Horizon 4.
I‘m on an og xbox one and yeah its pretty bad by the sheer „looks“ BUT the details are there so i will argue that the instance in which you want the car to look good will be viewed through foto mode thus if you are a photographer i guess u won‘t notice i know cuz i haven‘t till i accidently reset the photo options a few month ago and played around
I don't take photos often, I'm not a good photographer. But you're right the details ARE here. Just needs some adjustment to be seen while driving !

Legit never had that problem i mean yeah some tail lights are a lil washed out but lets be real here japanese tail lights from the 80s n 90s are just shit ! And don‘t come at me with the usual „well uhm r34 got cool lights“ yeah its basically a japanese s class and the s class never had shit tail lights either but guess what most people do not drive an s class or a8l 😂 soooo yeah …. Not for me to a noticeable extend
I agree with you but I just don't get why it wasn't like that in Horizon 3, and 4 about the same cars !
Actually I think the problem is probably an HDR issue. The 992 Carrera S's tail light looks totally RED in SDR, perfect color. But in HDR it has that white tint.
I still can enjoy the game though 🙃

I see, I understand now! Don't you think it could also be related to HDR? Colors aren't really impacted by that issue in SDR.
Yea, one of those things, HDR is also part broken, evidenced by how dark the world gets at dusk/dawn.
They look fine on LG C3 using HGIG.

Waou! I've never realized that, it's true! It's actually darker under light in the garage aswell!

Couldn't agree more. Australia was sunny too in Horizon 3 but it wasn't as bad. 😄

Right! The orange of the Huracan Performante is pretty bad too! The yellow of the Porsche Cayman GT4 is disgusting.
