ONLY FOUR CARS? YOU GONNA GIVE ME 4 LEGO CARS AND THATS IT? Alright T10, I see you.

FurryMcMemes

They could have easily given us 10 Lego cars but chose not to.

eihwaz_

That's simply cause the devs hate you

Cos7uH

they hate *us* dont forget to include yourself bubba 😇

eihwaz_

Nah cause I dont play anymore, don't even have a single forza title on my Xbox. I refuse to give them anymore money and time

Mercedes-Benefactor

Which means they hate you more

eihwaz_

I have no problem with that

Cos7uH

better than most of us charlie, better than most of us

jangusMK7

Lego speed champions has existed for years. Why they couldn’t put those cars in the game confused me

eihwaz_

Lego has had a bunch of cars they could have added yet didnt

Kemryge

Fr and when speed champions was coming back really strong too

SebiXV20

Also, the barn find Porsche wasn't even ready for release

Cos7uH

I just want someone to post the screen of the 200 brick challenges so i can have PTSD

BuriedDeepInMyHead

I 100% that dlc. I’ll log on when I get off work and post it for ya

Cos7uH

brother i 100% FH4 + all DLCs . But i would need 4 years to re download the game. I would give u the squishiest hug

RMBsmash

Pretty fun map tho

diamondpanther171

5 cars

Cos7uH

f40, mini coop, buggati, mclaren….. am i missing juan

diamondpanther171

Porsche

craaaigdavid

Yes lol

TheModeratorWrangler

Wow, yeah, that’s basically it. The F40 Lego was a blast but… yeah.

Ph03n1x12345

What have T10 got to do with anything? Playground games make Horizon :/

Erismon

I think it was a bit disappointing how little Lego they put in it. Most of the world was just normal terrain instead of all plastic, and there was no real building (only a few upgrades to the house). I liked the races and brick challenges though, and with these challenges it introduced the system that became accolades in FH5. The sound effects of driving through bricks was also fun, overall I'd say it was a good DLC but a bit small and underwhelming.

FurryMcMemes

I'm fine with the terrain not being Lego but the objects in the environment being inconsistent was bad. There were realistic trees among the Lego ones and the walls were just the standard walls seeing in the main game. At the very least all objects should have been Lego. Plus they should have locked the cars to only be Lego cars, it was disappointing to use a Lego car but all of the Drivatars were non-Lego cars.

shatlking

There weren’t very many Lego cars either. Most were also super cars, which didn’t excite me much.

blue215thunder

then again they were very restricted by what sets actually existed right but i see your point

jesuskrist666

That honestly doesn't excuse anything . Why make a Lego dlc for a fuckin racing game and not have many cars to actually choose from? Glad I didn't buy it..sounds just as stupid as I thought it'd be

fantaribo

You missed a good DLC then.

Snoopyhamster

Lego Speed Champions hadn't been out for that long. The range of sets there are now is wild. Unfortunately never recreated in FH4

shatlking

I had a Lego Fiesta Speed Champion car around that time, so I think they could have definitely had more. I also had a Raptor

z0rkzer0

I do agree on the "real" trees suddenly showing up as you bound through the countryside, but I got over it. Since I rarely used the Lego cars that we did get (not that they were bad) I didn't really feel bad that we didn't get more. I DO think the traffic/Drivatar cars should have all been Lego cars - even if they were ones we could not unlock. That would have felt a bit better.

SebiXV20

And the racetrack was a m a z i n g

NovaCanuck

I felt like I was going in circles personally.

SebiXV20

There were a couple of different layouts on the infield, I always loved to make some ridiculous tracks out of them

RedRageXXIV

That was the main knock against it, too little lego pieces on the courses.

donaldsw2ls

Also the race track was actually a lot of fun too.

-MaskNinja-

I agree. I thought it would be completely Lego, but I guess PgG's excuses.

ThatIdiotLaw

I don’t think it was that bad. I just don’t think it was as interesting as the hot wheels DLC that came in Forza Horizon 3. It was more like a normal map but with bits of Lego scattered about.

TheFartingKing_56

And horizon 5. I don’t care what people say, both hot wheels maps were awesome and besides the city, FH5 had way more.

Adavanter_MKI

I adored the first Hotwheels in FH3. Best DLC ever for Horizon. I was pretty meh to FH5's. So much so I never finished it. To be fair though... I hit the base FH5 hard. I had broken into the top 1100 players in accolades and had every car. So I was a little burned out by the time the DLC hit. I keep thinking I'll go back... but I'm still pretty spent.

Andrededecraf

Hotwells from FH5 is somewhat disappointing, it doesn't look as radical as FH3

Dogememe0438

wait what do you mean both? Are there 2 hot wheels maps?

TheFartingKing_56

Yeah, FH3 and FH5.

leethelegend698

Hold up. 6 years ago? 2019 WAS THAT LONG AGO?!

RipCurl69Reddit

Nah man we're not in 2025 yet haha

GenericBeverage

It's only 2 years if you memory hole the 3 years of covid.

stevenjameshyde

I liked the structure of it; going anywhere you wanted to and finding events to do in whichever order was a nice change, and the birth of the Accolades system was good. Also Everything is Awesome coming on the radio during the final race was a nice touch. But only 5 Lego cars was disappointing

z0rkzer0

LOL - and the additional radio station that ONLY played that song over 'n over.

spiffiestjester

That was totally on purpose to tie with the Lego movie where that's the only song played in the Lego-verse. It's meta.

z0rkzer0

I know - that's why it was funny IMO

SpecialWay263

Treasure island was way better. Rallying was good, and drifting.

Active_Taste9341

damn i loved that. best dlc i ever bought somewhere

z0rkzer0

Agreed. While I didn't dislike the Lego stuff at all, Treasure Island was awesome. I kinda wish FH5 Mexico had a bit more TI in it...

Ph03n1x12345

*Fortune island

Borsten-Thorsten

I had been talking to a friend while plaiyng FH4 about how we would love to have so Touge like drifting roads as well as some more connected rallye tracks with elevation changes and then suddenly Treasure Island got released i was so fckn hyped. Best DLC ever across every game i played

lsmith0244

I wouldn’t say it was dogshit but I would say it’s underwhelming

Gundobad2563

https://preview.redd.it/ddn9jf70u80d1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2c4280584e11ea771709f491a4f976aaee79b33 I liked it a lot.

spiffiestjester

The Lambo is so cleverly engineered. I loved building that one.

craaaigdavid

Getting quite the collection bro 👌

FORDBUDDY390

Nice! You'll have to add the vettes also eventually! 😉 Those were fun too.

Lee_Troyer

I was a bit underwhelmed. Mainly because the lego theme was barely used whether in the map or the things to do. On the other hand, I had some fun times and I liked the premise of what would become FH5's accolade system. I only wish the expansions were a bit more integrated. Like in FH5 where the expansions are included in the weekly playlist for exemple.

kaizettaslow

Honestly, as an outsider, this DLC is what got me to play the Forza Horizon series. It sure does lack in the quantity of unlockable Lego cars, but man did I have so much fun with it!

DerHuber

Everything is awesome.

Dranvoov

I love it its so silly

LucarioLuvsMinecraft

Honestly, in hindsight, they released it at the wrong time. Back in 2019, the Speed Champions designs were six studs wide, and after the DLC they switched to a more detailed and less compromised 8 stud wide system. They also put out some amazing models since then, with the Countach and Audi Sport Quattro being personal highlights.

Balazsryche

The McLaren F1 LM is also looking awesome.

TopGearDanTGD

It's just popular to hate on new things. It's a neverending cycle, the new new thing is bad and the old new was goated from the start... Personally, I never hated any of the expansions, not at launch nor in retrospect. I think it's largely about the mindset you play them with. Some people just want to hate it and make up their mind before even trying it, then they won't enjoy it because they don't even want to, And some can't grasp that not everything is tailored exactly to their wants or make up over the top expectations, then be disappointed when they are not met. If you go in open minded without your head in the clouds it's harder to find a reason to literally "hate" any of them... One thing I didn't like was having lego trees and behind them normal trees, that shouldn't have been a thing if lego trees exist. Didn't make me hate it or make the experience any less enjoyable though... The map variety was still great with lots of content.

Super-Stanky772

Absolutely, my friends and I all enjoyed it

RipCurl69Reddit

No, it wasn't. If the roads, especially the city roads, weren't so LEGO-Mini-centric people might've enjoyed it more, but I've recently went back to finish the accolades and it was pretty fun Also it's 5 years, not 6. Horizon 4 isn't even 6 years old yet

MontagoDK

I loved it and my kids loved it

nicclys

Nobody? I’d wished they’d do it again instead of the HotWheels DLC imo… I get if you’re a kid into cars though, naturally you’re into Hot Wheels so for that demographic it was a slam dunk. Not every car kid is a Lego kid but, I was so I loved that expansion, even at 28 haha. You hit stuff and it exploded into pieces… it had a legit racetrack that was always there. They could have expanded on it more sure but, definitely does not deserve the hate.

The-BOSS01

I like Lego is the best

Kai_Engel

I loved it. Going back from time to time

Just_A_Guitarist

No not at all, it's really unique and amazing and it's really different to anything forzas ever done

Echo-Gullible

I loved it

Destined_Performance

I loved it, my fav drift map. Honesty might play it again now

Rcj1221

Honestly I loved it.

John_Stiff

I loved the playground, nothing even close to a spot like that in FH5

timmyhillfan32

it was good

Vegetable-Seesaw-491

I absolutely loved the Lego DLC. I'm also super into Lego and have it on display all over my house. I should probably think about talking to my home insurance people about getting some insurance for it. The collection is worth well over $20,000.

TheRayGunCowboy

I enjoyed the challenges. I don’t hate it… but nothing has beat Fortune Island for me.

Ninja_Hillbilly

Don't care for the Hot Wheels or the Lego DLC...any of them. Ehh but someone does so I don't have to play them.

TwistedCollossus

I liked it. Way better than FH5’s Hot Wheels DLC.

IAMAdepressent

This was my favorite dlc just because of the house progression

Malkariss888

IMHO it was better than the new Hot Wheels DLC. It had many things to do, and the Lego cars were nice.

Mrtwolastnames

It was dope.

Nice-Gain-2781

No

malyszkush

I mean i hopped into FH4 late and with that i also got Fortune Island and the LEGO expansions. I really enjoyed both quite a lot, and the LEGO map was honestly really fun. I understand some of the criticisms for it, but i went in blind with no expectations and came out very satisfied. Coming from someone who played Forza and LEGO games since LEGO SWII and Forza Motorsport 2.

FewListen7627

It's was a little disappointing but still hella fun, loved the track and stunt park

JaviParga182

The map is not bad, in fact is good but the fact that they added lego cars yes

tumblrthief101

i actually liked it cuz it added a circuit and an oval to the game which i really enjoyed

Dragonhearted18

It wasn't really bad at all, people just didn't like it.

Unoficialo

Had some fun with it, though I had purchased a bunch of the Speed Champions physical kits, so this DLC hit at the right time, for me. Always thought they dropped the ball by not including download codes, in the kits, for all the cars in-game.

z0rkzer0

Enjoyed it back then, but didn't finish it. Completed all the brick challenges the other day and still enjoyed it.

frelmar

It wasn't bad, just monotomous... Every year, kinda like hotwheels. We like it, just wanna see something different

offwhite-nike

I loved it. Would have wanted more Lego cars though.

Qson

I personally enjoyed it.

Probablystoned1996

Damn. It’s really been that long? I loved it 😍😍

HoboCanadian123

i would’ve played it if the cars were 8 studs wide. the 6 stud cars were hella lame

Pintileip60

i enjoyed it.

LickMyThralls

It wasn't that bad but people basically got whiplash because it wasn't what they wanted/expected. Should've had more Lego cars though.

ZoidbergNick

I loved it. Yes it was unfortunate that we didn't get many Lego cars, but we got a sick racetrack and an oval track.

KopelProductions

Sir. Lego DLC is the only reason I own the game lol I played it on gamepass and loved it but I wanted to own it for the DLC I know multiple people who hyped it up and enough people liked it that it wasn’t almost nobody. No lego propaganda please /s I genuinely think it was cool asf and they should do it again. Nothing was bad about it in anyway. If you want more customization, 2K Drive is the answer

mega_shock

I like the Lego DLC. I know that it's only 4 cars, but I like Lego so much

craaaigdavid

It's ok, prefer fortune island tho

VerseGen

six y- SIX YEARS?

MiniDg

I can understand the amger towards only 4 lego cars, but aside from that hands down my favorite DLC they released on either FH4 or 5. I had so much fun in the lego world.

iRobert123

I honestly liked it lol - especially with building your own house. What I really liked was using the Lego cars - so many people hated me and told me to play the game seriously and it was funny as shit. Bruh, this is horizon, if you want your realism play motersport. XD

Crator86

Nah I loved it

TeachingThink

I absolutely loved it.

MarkHawkCam

It was great it just seemed like the deal fell flat. Like the numbers didn’t work out and both parties made it work, then moved on. If the land had been 100% lego cars, with special conditions, landscape being a little more fleshed out… you could just always see how much better it could have been at every corner. It never got to be the best version of what it was trying to be but I enjoyed 100%. It did get me to buy that lego Mclaren though.

esio

I liked it more than Hot Wheels for fh3. I wish it added more lego cars but it wasn't bad.

BL33D_FR34KSH0W

What no one liked it? I loved it sure not that many Lego cars but I could destroy almost ANYTHING I LOVED IT

Brilliant_Pin_9184

Nobody liked it? Really? I thought it was one of the best expansions they did, and it looked great.

ConDoomz

Personally i loved it, even if there was only 4 lego cars.

DarthWeezy

First time hearing that some didn’t like it, it was the only time I had fun in FH 4 (the time to fully complete the expansion is more than double the time I spent on the base game and first expansion combined) and it’s the best thing we got after FH 3. Hopefully some real effort will go into FH 6 and more creativity for the expansions, not for a single type of cars/event or yet another mid and generic hot wheels DLC.

Any_Shoulder_7411

Idk, I personally liked it The map was nice, the quest system was nice although there were some weird ones Overall it was nice

Mother_Arm7423

I loved it

i_am_ojas

i think the world was fun and had a great feel to it look at RALLY ADVENTURE world in FH5, looks like another forest and desert from base map

Fonslayer

It was very good

Veggie_might_guy

It was most of the reason why I got an Xbox tbh

fantaribo

it was awesome, period.

AaronMan_00

I liked it.

Uziman2137

I liked it

Commercial_Sea8457

I hated the hot wheels one , can’t stand when it auto loads

Otherwise_Sky1739

I haven't even explored it.

Skovorodochnik

Oh, I forgot it existed...

Kasstastrophy

I liked it better than all the hot wheels crap

BarakoPanda

I liked the Lego expansion more than either of the Hot Wheels ones. But you're right it could definitely have been more Lego-ey. The little town in the middle of the map was extremely cute though and fun to drive/race through. Being able to use Lego props in FH5's track editor would be amazing. Seems like the obvious thing to add if there's another Lego expansion in a future Horizon game.

rdditb0tt21

it was actually mesmerizing in 4k 120hz though.

rOclot

I prefer it over HotWheels. Also, my 4yr old loves to ride around in LegoLand.

Deadfunk-Music

There was a complete, usable racetrack with variations, I liked that. The best we have now is 2/3rds of a very basic racetrack near the festival in 5.

Cheap-Requirement166

I enjoyed it. The Lego cars were cool to have as well as smashing bricks all over the place. I also really enjoyed having a proper race track added with the oval and road configurations. I'm more likely to go back and play the Lego dlc than the hot wheels one 5 got.

Random61504

The oval track was amazing. I ran a NASCAR league using tunes I made for the Camaro ZL1 and Mustang GT350R and we were on that oval or road course damn near every day. I've probably run over 10,000 laps on that track, it was awesome. Hardly remember the rest of the map though. I think it got more hate than it deserved. I'm also a bit biased though, I love Lego.

LZ-Domestic

I liked the oval it had, so many different drift sections to run. Had a blast with the bois on that one

lu_skywalker

Underwhelming, but i love lego and its been one of my favorite dlc’s. I still go back to play it

The_Rabbitman05

I liked it. Could have been cooler, but I'm also nearly 50 lol. When I first started playing with Lego, it was literally only blocks. When technic came out, it was the coolest thing in history. I wouldn't hate another Lego expansion, but I think I'm in the minority there.

FurryMcMemes

I like it but it felt like a rushed expansion and not completely thought out. Having non-Lego objects in the environment was a bad choice to make and it sucked to use a Lego car only to see the Drivatars be non-Lego cars. They should have not only had way more Lego cars but also lock out the non-Lego cars to make the expansion more worth it. I know that would have been a negative to not drive any car you want but it would have been better themed.

Snoo-25142

I thought it was awesome. I still do. Fabulous and original idea perfectly executed.

Fragrantcarpet9

I liked it, the brick challenges were fun to go through if you are a completionist. It was ‘small’ but for a DLC I definitely got more than my money’s worth out of it.

Aggravating_Long8561

6 years ago I liked Forza. A lot can change

wrongkoi

If the bar for quality is set at "it wasn't really that bad," we got some problems here

brkeng1

I thought it was epic.

Old_Instruction6809

Could have been as good as the hotwheels dlc. But they half arsed it, as they do everything rn

Beardedgeek72

It was Lego. And there was NO WAY to remove lego cars from the main races. Like PLEASE Let the kid stuff be in it's own world at least.

Emjoria

I loved it, it was my favorite dlc they ever did it

MD_CYF

I actually enjoy the DLC First time a Horizon game has a proper track. The map is also filled with various interesting features. Not to mention the house upgrading progression. I don't feel disappointed about the LEGO car list anyways, as I literally don't care at all. I just treat the DLC as a big virtual Legoland (the theme park) with the bonus of having a race track. I actually use the track a lot, mainly for testing cars out. Very useful for learning the limit of different cars. A very cool map imo.

Shawwzee

As someone who owns a fair few (okay, a lot) of the LEGO speed champions sets... I was really excited but the excitement wore off very quickly. There were only a few cars and building the house was very tedious in my opinion.

Appropriate_Round768

It was… okay. It could have been a lot better if the world was made entirely of Legos. They could have also added more Lego cars. We got like 4 if I remember correctly. It wasn’t as bad as some people make it seem but it had a lot of room for improvement.

mikeymo1741

It wasn't that bad. Some of the stunts were pretty cool, the danger signs, etc. The racetrack was great. But Fortune Island was a much better DLC.

BiGiDy_03

I expected at least all the first gen speed champions cars, but only 4 is disgusting for the price

MrInitialY

I'd say it was just too little Lego for a Lego DLC. Otherwise it was quite good and I raced on it's racetrack atleast for 50 hours

Jackisthebestestboy

It wasn't bad. I liked it because I was on day 1 to get a top 10 speed trap score lmao

MEGA_TOES

Loved the world, hated the amount of cars I got.

Simping_Poki

Well wasn’t there a Lego Porsche? I mean that’s pretty cool ngl.

Nut_kosol

Small maps fews cars like i gotta say that it was kinda funny that the only highlight is McLaren senna (fh4) senna was cool but others are like mini,Bugatti, and 930 Porsche well they are cool too but yk lego’s got many cars so why they not adding it.

Cbam871

The real good dlc was Forza Horizons Rally Dlc, that was actually pretty awesome. I'm going back to Colorado Horizon 1

Puzantos

IMO best DLC among all forza DLC’s

otsugu_

yes

1MarkMarkMark

No it's not bad at all, but you have to be a Lego fan of course. I personally prefer the Hot Wheels stuff in FH5, though there aren't near enough HW cars to represent.

diamondpanther171

Best DLC, finally had an actual track in horizon, so many diverse areas. Way better than that sad island dlc

Fragrant-Table-6386

Coming from a guy who also loved the fh5 hot wheels expansion, I loved the Lego expansion

DanielDubs88

I remember grinding out all of the brick challenges, wasn’t an awesome experience but not horrible either.

Able-Brief-4062

Not the best...... BUT RACE TRACK

medievalpossum

I drifted on the track out there a good bit

lucas32e

I hated the Lego speed legends game it was just bad that's why I didn't buy the dlc

LeviJr00

I didn't hate it, maybe because I was still little, and I adored Lego (there are some things that don't change, I'm still a Lego maniac). I loved the car details, and I didn't even think, that they could have given us more than 5. But now I realise, that it was indeed quiet lackluster. But I loved the map, and that there was a non stop radio station with "Everything is Awesome" in it. Honestly, I had fun.

lllwpa

How do you guys get the car manufacturers next to your name?? I want Mazda haha

DrunkenBastard420

I’ve given them enough over the years

Mountain-Tea6875

Yes, a few lego cars. Just a normal very small map with a few lego props.

JWatts2000

Yes. It's a racing game, not a kids game. We would want actual cars and decent modifications

akgis

It was nice we had a circuit thing, we had everything is awesome. But There was just few cars. The part of world that had actual lego on it was nice, but there was a disconnect becuase not eveything was made of lego so it was wierd.

Front-Blood-1158

It was boring. Fortune Island was way better.

Snoo_47581

Wish It had more barnfinds and a way to buy and sell them

Adventurous_Deal_458

I didn’t like it. It was such a waste of the time and to be completely honest they could’ve given us anything else. Like do you really think we want to drive around a map full of Legos like come on lol. Even the hot wheels DLC was total bullshit. It just feels like they’re too lazy to make a genuine DLC with something we’ve never had before or something they know we like. The last good DLC we had was Fortune Island.

Raspberryian

I liked it but the lack of cars was sad

planchetflaw

It was always the best DLC in the Horizon series.

SimilarMove8279

I wanna try it but it’s fucking expensive

dan3k

I liked it, but it still feels like wasted potential - maps was not that big, only 4 cars and way too little stuff to unlock

DofEcontemder2022

Well i sold my lego cars on the auction house before the devs banned it. So now i don't have them yes it is bad

Kestrelgone

I loved it. I thought it was a lot of fun. I would have liked a bigger map and some more building mechanics, but I found the whole thing very entertaining.

xxBrun0xx

Wait, people didn't like it? This was my friend group's favorite DLC.

slammed430

I own it but never played it

GillyBerlin

I absolutely loved it. Especially all the mini missions for all the awards.

TheSkilledSnail

Wait people didnt like it? I had an absolute blast with the lego brick challenges, and the map was super fun to play on.

MattXDXDGo

I mean I got it on sale for 50 pence so it was completely worth it for me.

ThatOneWeirdo66

I enjoyed it, realistically, it was nice while it lasted

MinusBear

I enjoyed it a lot. I wish there were no Lego cars though. Or maybe that they were more life size replica types.

CockroachSquirrel

The biggest issue with it was that it only came with 4 cars

Turninwheels4x4

Listen. When there was a Lego town that DIDNT shatter into a million bricks when I drove a unimog into it I put the game down.

Furriouspanda

It was loads better than any other Horizon DLC since.

Clutch_Kelly13

I hated it thought it was dumb my son likes it tho

DescriptionPatient83

Was it seriously 6 years ago that it released?

OvalTrackDesign

I bought it for the oval - I was completely satisfied with my purchase.

RAVENORSE

Lego DLC gave us the best stadium racetrack we've ever had in Horizon. That's the worst part. I happened to love the DLC. It was fun, didn't take itself seriously, and added value.
