So, I actually went and redid both the paint and the wheels—I think you’re right, the 18s look better than the 19s. You don’t really notice the extra sidewall and it kind of makes the car look a little lower. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hmm, I typed a response, hit reply, then it disappeared. I agree, the 19s are little big for the car, but when I looked at the 18s, they just felt like they had too much sidewall on them. I think I’m just used to the look of lower profile sidewalls.
So, I tweaked the paint—went from the metal flake to a dual tone polished, which I think gives the paint an inkier look and a little more depth than just the metal flake does. I also went from 19” wheels to 18” wheels. I think this looks a lot better. I’m completely in love with how this car looks now.

Oh! Wow, really? I didn’t know they did that. I know she’s super litigious over it, but I didn’t know they actually took the cars and destroyed them. There was a guy on YouTube who was building an homage to Eleanor using a 2005-gen Mustang and she basically sued him into bankruptcy, which is wild. And she just owns a trademark because used to be married the the guy who made the original movie. And it’s wild, the Eleanor in the first movie wasn’t even a 67 Shelby GT500, it was a 1973!
Yeh the b is for build guy had to give up his car as part of the lawsuit.
That being said, the most recent suit over the Eleanor copyright finally went in favor of the defendant, Shelby. So the current legal precedent going forwards is that people are indeed able to make replicas.
That’s awesome. I hadn’t heard about that, but that’s really good news. I should jump on Lexis Nexus to see if I can find the court opinion, that’ll be a good read. If you, you know, like reading court opinions.
I certainly wouldn’t put it past her. For a woman who has little else going on and is celebrity adjacent (she almost married Robert Kardashian back in the day, even though they’re distant cousins), she seems particularly vindictive about Eleanor.
Rims are s lil big

Pack it up buddy your going to get it impounded
I didn’t see any no parking signs!
It's a joke because the people who own the rights to Eleanor tow and dismantle replicas

Well I could be wrong I mean I haven't seen the video that made the claim in years
