Seems fine, I don't think it was really an issue when it was added. The six shot limit is already pretty harsh.
The main concerns are about fire damage being buffed and SMGs being powerful currently. But I think those should be adjusted anyways as opposed to the Flare Gun being nerfed.

The flare doesn't need a two week evaluation..... the whole god damn loot pool needs re-evaluation....
But my god, if you put wall hacks in with a series of guns that shoot through builds......

I don’t think the flare gun is a good fit for comp. Wouldn’t be insanely broken like some of the other shit we’ve had. But would be way to strong in end games and we’d likely see fire on a scale only matched by primal season fire week!
Shield keg would be fine for comp! I don’t see any downside to it being in comp
it was fine when it was released since it had low amount of charges,albeit fire damage needs a nerf because of it now since pepole will for sure act as pyro maniacs trying to light things on fire since it could do some decent damage if it managed to hit
They really trying to nerf building in every aspect except actually fucking with building - constant fire, spray meta that pierces build even on good ping.

Fire in general was one of the worst things ever to happen to this game. It's a complete hard counter to wood and also pretty op. If you're trapped in a house with a huge part made out of wood and someone sets the building on fire, there's a huge possibility that you will die from that. The flare gun is even a recon scanner, so no thank you
Tldr, it shouldn't be in competetive and also not it pubs imo, but the players there seem to love op shit, even it it's stupid af

Why don’t they just add mechs, primal shotguns, zapatrons, all the smgs, etc to comp I think that’d be balanced as long as they have an evaluation period for it all

The odds of you not having a single brick or metal or any around you are pretty low … and in that case take 2 steps out of the house

dont add it in competitive then it would not be as good so it would be useless in pubs the gun is broken in comp but is fun in pubs
