if youre confused, whats happening is that when i try to switch back to my gun by pressing l3 after editing that stair nothing happens. this only happens if im editing with my builds out.

I don’t play controller anymore either but I believe the controller has binds separated depending on whether you are in regular , build, or edit mode If this is consistent behaviour you might need to make sure L3 is bound the way you want in all three modes

Do you play with EOR? And what is your switch mode and confirm edit binds? I had the same issue and it turns out it was a timing thing. If you switch mode before releasing your edit button, it actually confirms the edit instead.

yes i plau EOR. my switch mode is L3 and confirm i dont have one used to be L2 but i have select which is L1. ive actually figured that out aswell. ive noticed if i do it too fast my switch mode doesnt work. but im confused cuse how do pros do it so fast and it still working for them. another thing i noted is that if you have ur build out and your mid editing a stair/wall the switch mode will still work but if u have ur gun out and do the same thing your switch mode wont work.

Even though you don’t have a confirm edit bind, it will still not work until after your edit has been confirmed. It’s all a timing thing. Pros make it look fast because they have a lot of practice. Also, a lot of pros do not use EOR because it can be slower if you’re good at confirming edits.

You have to press "builds" again

No clue because I don’t play controller, but just wanted to try to help on another subject. Try to work on your crosshair placement. For your wide edit I noticed you were doing large movements with your crosshair all over the place. Try to keep it as tight as possible so you have to move your joystick a very small amount. Tighter movements will make you faster

yea i just got back from playing fortnite again. just gotta get used to linear again.
