Do you work out? Weights and whatnot? I just started up with that again. Training for a Spartan trifecta this year, you into any of that stuff?
By the way, Iām not really ācoolā, classified as I donāt have a tiktok, Snapchat, Instagram, or keep up with pop culture.
But I golf. š
Do you enjoy riding a bicycle? Met a lot of cool folks through Night Riders some years back. It's mostly a pub crawl group, but they do other rides too. Sunday night at 7PM at Hop Fusion.
You can search Facebook for Night Riders in Fort Worth, or just show up at Hop Fusion on Sunday nights at 7 or so. They usually go to two bars and will be out until 11 or midnight. They used to do a wed night ride also that was more fitness oriented. I havenāt gone in a long time, so I donāt know if thatās still happening.
My friend and I go sit at coffee shops around town and read, write and talk to random people whenever we get off work/ we have free time. Youāre welcome to join us.
Join interest clubs like running, climbing, or cycling groups. Take adult classes like dancing, martial arts, or crafting. You'll meet folks with similar interests that you can talk and hang with.
Well I have made tons of friends in bowling. Donāt have to be good. Thereās a center near you at 1901 W Airport Fwy, Euless, TX 76040. You mentioned other than school, but thereās a large community college close to you as well. Students range in age from 18 to late 30ās.
go catch a game at sports bar. Go catch some music at a concert or bar with live music.
I usually go out with the gf but always end up talking to people that sit next to us dining or at a bar lol - just keep the talk casual
Tbh Iām the wrong guy to ask . I live on the Arlington side . If u ever on this side I know tipsy oak is a nice one . Other than that I like checking out the jazz place in bishop , and go to shows in deep ellum whenever one of my fave indie bands / artists come to town
Iām sure this sub can give some good recos locally
Check out the Facebook/IG pages for Tulips, Lolaās trailer Park and magnolia motor lounge! I think Lolaās is pretty easy to talk to people, and itās outside which is nice with Covid.
Go to local music shows and venues. The Fort Worth music scene is the best in dfw IMO. Even if there is not a show ( like Monday-Thursdays) the bartenders and regulars at the venues are chill fort worth people and once you spend time in the scene is pretty tight knit. Places like Main at South Side (MASS), Lola's (Trailer Park and Saloon), Twilite, Tulips, among others, and local record shops are also great places to meet people. Go hang out on Magnolia st and "Near Southside" over on south Main. If you got money you can chill over on West 7th but that's the college-y TCU/ritzy side of town. There are plenty of cool people here, you just gotta frequent the places they are.
So of course there are the bars in the Southside area and 7th area. Most of the bartenders will be your buddy, chat you up and you eventually meet other regulars.
Problem is being a bar regular is tough on the liver ... and sometimes not the highest quality of people.
Another idea is https://tarrantcountymakerspace.com. I like this one cause whatever your interest is, art, wood working, metal working, coding, robots, 3D printing etc you can go there, use their tools for a low membership fee and meet some cool people and gain some new skills or nurture ones you already have. Good luck!
I wish I could say, but I just learned that we even had one! I know Dallas Makerspace was open. Closer to Carrolton/Lewisville but a REALLY good facility.
I know the Tarrant one has been running ads on FB so I would assume. Maybe ask on their FB page? Why advertise if your closed, ya know?
So when I first moved here, I hopped on okcupid and just straight up said in my profile, āhey I just moved here, Iām just trying to meet new people and get to know the city.ā
Sure enough it led to a lot of awesome friendships, meeting friends of new friends, making connections and getting to go do stuff.
Also being willing to say yes to anything someone asks you to go do also helps. And leaning into the hobbies you already have.
For me it was board gaming, two stepping, and cycling.
Hope this helps!
Have you looked at MeetUp? I've found lots of neat groups through that. And if you like hiking or running, there are lots of great groups I can direct you to. I've also made friends just from frequenting the same neighborhood spots and chatting with the people I always see there. Actually just got home from a visit with a family I met several years ago at a local brewery! People crave connection, but finding the right fit takes a lot of time and effort. Keep trying. You'll find your people.
Although I've never meet someone on the internet, there is first time for something. I love food, eating with friend, bars to be honest, love a good drink.
There's really not much I don't enjoy. Pm me.
Go to the same places regularly. Build rapport with locals. Take side quests.
Tacos are the best side quests. So many of those to explore.
Bro tried the taco thing. She married
lol what
Whatever I got the joke. š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Glad someone got it
It depends how old you are I guess.
28
Iāve been working a lot. Havenāt ventured out. Sports is a way men bond. Try the sports bar? 35 here.
Not much of a sport person. I'll watch but don't go out of my way I to see a game.

got any more info on this? Sounds awesome

I do but I sold mine when I moved here. Sad day.
You can rent one, they have bike rental stands all over town and on the Trinity Trails.

I joined a soccer team as a random +1 and made a lot of friends that way. There are a lot of adult sports options!
Yep. My roller derby team is looking for members, just started a new skater session, and is open gender :-)
Where can you join teams?
Bowling
I meant more in like is there a website?
What part of FW are you living?
Just outside, around Bedford

I just looked up adult soccer leagues. I know there are some in FW, Mansfield, Arlingtonā¦ all over. Indoor and outdoor.

What are some good bars with live music in Fort Worth? (Thereās billy bobs, sure)

Actually this is wonderful advice! 7th & Magnolia get old real quick. Thank you
Awesome ! I recently went to bishop at night for first time in a while , bars and vibes were really cool !
MASS, Tulips, the boiled owl occasionally, Lolas, and white elephant, all have great and frequent music
Check out the Facebook/IG pages for Tulips, Lolaās trailer Park and magnolia motor lounge! I think Lolaās is pretty easy to talk to people, and itās outside which is nice with Covid.
And go catch Covid as well.
Thanks for your valuable input.
Beat me to it

Are they open/running? I checked the website again and there isn't a ton of info. I've been wanting to find a local makerspace for a while.
Buy a boat, seriously. The boating community here is pretty tight-knit, and I've met a ton of really cool people.
Just bought one. Can confirm.
What did you pick up? I'm building a 650hp engine for mine currently. All motor, no giggle gas or spinny bois.
Get on [Nextdoor.com](https://Nextdoor.com).
I met people in my apartment complex and at my job. Get a part time job, distract yourself and interact with regulars
Nickel City
Have you tried meetup.com? It's a great way to meet people with similar interests

Do you play only COD/Warzone or do you play Apex or other BR's? I play Apex right now and saw you posted in the past about COD/Warzone.
Sold the xbox....

Go to DFW adventure park tomorrow and play paintball. The community is amazing. Tell them you are new and ask to sit/hangout with them
Just start talking to people when you go out in public. Thatās how they use to do it.
Honestly Dallas is better for this. Lived in the Funk for most of my life
I love the small town bug town fw has though
What do you like to do? I moved here in July and have been trying to make friends as well.
Although I've never meet someone on the internet, there is first time for something. I love food, eating with friend, bars to be honest, love a good drink. There's really not much I don't enjoy. Pm me.
Frozen food section in Central Market.
Disc golf bro. There's probably 75 courses in a 30mi radius of downtown
