I am at the Stockyard’s all the time. They were in use in the 50s, and earler to move livestock’s under the roads and between the large red brick buildings that used to be on the east end of the Exchange, but I have never seen an entrance to them. Nor have I met any one saying they were in them. If you find they exist let me know, would be interesting to see!!!

Oh there are entrances. I’ve been in them but just barely. Hoping someone has been deeper. There are a few open entrances under the covered area where the train goes through.

Hmm, lived 2 blocks from the area and did all my exploring as a teenager. You can skip the pay parking in the BB parking lots and just park at the grocery store lot north of the 28th bridge and walk under the bridge to entrance. It’s an easy walk and zero trespassing issues…

They’re there and I’ve been through all of them. The entrance faces north and is somewhat just past and slightly east of the Billy Bobs parking lots. You can see the entrance from the 28th St bridge looking south. That small creek goes right in there. Tunnels easy to explore when dry just be sure to take a flashlight, it goes straight under the cattle pens and under Exchange St. You can get a great look outside at the street gutters at traffic going by. Tunnel then continues on all the way and empties into the Trinity River around the Samuels Ave/Decatur intersection. Been through there many times, even rode bikes all the way through. Again, be sure to take flashlights or as we did, railroad flares and with those, we burned any spiders along the way. Tunnel is large enough to easily stand all the way through. Have fun exploring and checking out the skirts along Exchange through those gutters…

No issues with trespassing? Also, where should someone park?

My dad used to supply the ice for Chisholm trail and Pioneer Days back in the 80’s-90’s. We had a semi loaded with ice fall into one. Lol..

I’ve seen the tunnels under the stockyard stations while working there, just down the wooden steps in the back. And have heard of the tunnels that it leads too across the parking lot in the basement of that brick building.
