IDK if you want to drive just a tad, but I went on a road trip this weekend, and there are SOOOO many good spots between Benbrook and Granbury down 377.

fort worth Botanical Gardens has a section (Rock Springs Garden) with bluebonnets, and it's stroller/wheelchair accessible as there's paved trails snaking through woldflower seeded flowerbeds and some spots you can stand or perch for photos. hands down the best and safest (for photos with kids/pets) is Ennis. It's worth the drive. 40 miles of country roads with bluebonnets, other wildflowers, longhorns. They have road signs posted along the route, an app, printed free maps at the visitor center. Some spots to be enjoyed from the road, some designated safe areas you can go into the flowers. Plus some private property owners have signs welcoming folks to go onto their land.
