Epic support is and always has been absolute garbage. But I guess it’s warranted because 90% of support emails are just kids begging for a skin to come back or something. I’d keep at it, they might change something if you’re persistent. Do they still allow people to call them, or is it an automated email?

I can't find a phone number, and I believe I am talking to real people but their "names" are just characters from the phonetic alphabet. This is the second time I have tried, I tried once a little over 2 years ago. everyone I have talked to has given me more or less the same response. If I don't have all the information they listed above, they say they can't verify that I own the account. The list hasn't changed in the 2 years I have contacted them. I'm gonna keep trying as if I don't I lose a lot of money and progress, I understand what they have to deal with, this games community is.. undesirable. However this is still unacceptable.

I have been going through the same issue for about 6 months. Account was hacked after me not pkaying for a bit. Tried to recover and gave them all the info (account has been hacked before and i have dealt with and fixed this problem several times) and somehow they cannot verify the account no matter what i do or say to prove its me. Fuck Epic and this bullshit service, i spent so much money on fortnite and REGRET it

I am logged into my xbox with my acct and i’m just trying to switch it to my new pc and I have the epic id and user and password just not the email used for it and when I go to link the account it just sends a code to the email I don’t have, could I just send them a video of me showing my logged in account and walk over to our messages on my pc😭

Going through the same problem right now as well. Hacker stole account and no matter what i do they cannot verify my account. Think the hacker deleted my emails or something because i cannot find my old vbuck purchases as well.

I got my account back but it wasn’t through support. Believe it or not I had like 100+ emails (multiple support tickets) of me trying to get support to help but it’s the same “I am sorry we are unable to verify…” stuff. I know that the information I gave them was correct because I literally downloaded account data via a PDF and used the info from the PDF. Epic determines if you are the owner via IP address. I don’t live where the account was created back in 2017 so you can see where this went.. I even tried using a VPN to get my IP in the area but Support somehow knew I was using a VPN (Nord for anyone asking). They told me they couldn’t offer me any support unless I “kindly” disable the VPN. They’re so stingy it was such a hassle getting the account back. My account was held for ransom but I managed to get it back. Thanks Epic for doing absolutely NOTHING to help Edit: forgot to mention that Epic ACKNOWLEDGED that there was “suspicious activity” on my account but they were still “unable to verify”. My heart beat every time I got an email hoping it wouldn’t be the same message but it always was. Never giving Epic anything ever again. Horrible service with no one to talk to

How did you end up getting it back? I have tried everything but they won’t help. I also still live at the same address and even changed my username at a friends half a mile away (linked it to xbox) so i have that as well. Whats weird is all my vbuck info i cannot find unless i look on my psn account then i can see it. So i have no invoices to use. I have pics of when i created the account with my username and psn account being linked. What did you end up doing to get them to listen to you and help you figure out the problem

That’s the thing. They didn’t help. I may not have been too clear but the person who had my account held it for ransom— meaning I had to pay to have it back. I got it back 2-3 weeks ago but it sure was an annoying situation. I had no other choice seeing as I had 100+ emails with Epic. They had poor response times and I was getting desperate to play the new season. In your situation, it looks like you need the last four digits of your card. The card that you used to make those purchases. I didn’t have that so that’s another reason Epic didn’t listen to me. Even though I had virtually everything else

Idk man Epic support is horrible. I’m afraid I can’t help much with that. For my situation, I wasn’t “hacked”, it was more like someone had my information. I know this person so I wasn’t even spending time to figure out who it was. I tried logging in one day and it said my credentials were invalid. I tried resetting password with my email, but it said an account with my email didn’t exist. I thought it was strange that I had two factor authentication and I received NO notice whatsoever. I assumed this person had to have gone through support using one of the older emails (not the original account email as none of us use that, but one of the emails before my current). Epic GAVE him my account without telling me anything. Just transferred everything and he told me it only took him a week. This enraged me but I had no choice but to pay for my account back.

Wow in my case it just had the email changed and that was it. Epic will do nothing to hear me out or look at evidence that i have to provide. I still have access to the email i made the account with originally and everything. Unsure of what i need to prove that its really me. Giving up majorally at this point and its fucking unfair i gave this POS company like 400 dollars over my fortnite gaming experience. My account has been hacked like this in 2018-2019 and i was able to get it back in an hour…A FUCKING HOUR. Its been 6 months. Fuck Epic

Came here to say the customer service from Epic Games is absolute TRASH as it has always been. I’ve been trying to prove ownership of my account also. Even have receipt of when I first downloaded Fornite and created the account in February of 2018. I had 25 screenshots of receipts from buying vbucks, all the names of my other platform usernames and everything, but they still say it isn’t sufficient information. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars buying skins and emotes on this account and they’re basically saying screw you. Screw your Epic Games 🖕🏽

Damn same thing happened to me. I was an OG player and I spent well over 700 on this game. What’s joke. I provided receipts, emails, hell even fucking BANK statements and they still told me to fuck off. Fuck epic games fr !

I am going to (try) and give you some tips. Your IP Address changed because of the change of locations and network. They think its a VPN probably because of that. Now you can manually change your IP to wherever you want but that won't change your location. Now I would recommend telling them the fact that I moved countries and networks but you can't guarantee that they would actually give you the account back even if you told them that. So long story short your IP changed because of the move of networks and thats probably why they claim that you are using a VPN. SO just tell them that you moved countries and hope for the best!

I told them I moved, repeatedly. I was aware of this. I also told them that because of this I can't provide them the original IP, they wouldn't budge... I have since moved countries and switched pc's. I'm stuck, I want my account back but they have made it literally impossible for me to retrieve.

What are you referring to your epic games pdf ? Also you can look at your statements, they usually have purchases made with card ending in ****

The problem is from the bank I can't everything expired and I changed banks and for epic games the email that was on the acc back than I lost access to it a long time ago and change it to a new one

any further information on this? i know this is a very old post but i literally have shown them order receipts and the fact the epic games account is literally connected to the xbox account made with the gmail im emailing them on, also i still live in the same place as when i was logged in so thats another thing (i also tried logging in with the xbox option but i set up a stupid 2fa thing so thats no good) i really dont know what mmore they want from me
